August Beauty Awards

Hi there! It’s the last day of the month – this means that today’s post is about my favourite products from this past month. Let’s start with the TOP 3 – and there’ll be honourable mentions too!

3rd place – Palmolive Aroma Therapy Morning Tonic, Sensual, Absolute Relax

Palmolive knocked it out of the park with these amazing shower gels. 11 stars!

Runner-Up – Global Beauty Care Anti Aging Collection Glycolic Acid Spa Treatment Mask

This glycolic acid sheet mask is the bomb! Brighter skin immediately! Wow!

WINNER – Danielle 2 In 1 Jade Dual Sided Facial Roller

This facial roller is my new favourite beauty tool. I use it daily, and it’s absolutely marvellous. I cannot imagine skin care without it.

Onto the honourable mentions! Farm Skin Mangosteen Balancing Sheet Mask is a wonderful mask – my fourth favourite product this month! I also enjoyed another mask from the same brand – Farm Skin Beet Moisturizing Sheet Mask. Tesco did a great with their Masking Reviving Orange Flower & Ginger Sheet Face Mask too.

Onto some non-mask favourites! Radox Mineral Therapy Sleep Aromatherapy Bath Salts With Lavender & Ylang Ylang are lovely. And Garnier Body Tonic Firming Hydrating Lotion is a very good body lotion for the warmer months!

And this is it for August. I enjoyed so many new products this month that I found it hard to limit myself to these! So yes, August was a great month for new products. Thanks for stopping by today!

Revisiting Old Favourites – Palmolive Aroma Therapy Morning Tonic, Sensual, Absolute Relax

Hi there! Today’s post is about 3 of my all-time favourite shower gels – Palmolive Aroma Therapy Morning Tonic, Sensual and Absolute Relax.

Palmolive Aroma Therapy Morning Tonic with tangerine and lemongrass is one of the most amazing green shower gels ever. It’s refreshing, but also sweet and warm at the same time. It smells like a summer holiday in Italy. 11 stars!

Palmolive Aroma Therapy Sensual with Moroccan rose and ginseng is another incredible shower gel. It has a beautiful, warm, rich – yet transparent – rosey fragrance. I think “Sensual” is the perfect name for this shower gel.

Palmolive Aroma Therapy Absolute Relax with ylang ylang and iris is the ultimate purple shower gel. It smells like the perfect mix of velvety leaves and white tea. It’s simply stunning!

My husband loves all of these shower gels too. So whenever I start using any one of these, he puts his man shower gel aside and “helps me” finish the Palmolive one! 😁

If you’re interested, Palmolive Aroma Therapy Morning Tonic, Sensual and Absolute Relax are available as 250ml each. The first 2 have been discontinued, but can still be found online. The third one is fortunately still available in drugstores and supermarkets. I hope that it’ll be around forever, and that the other ones will be reintroduced at some point so I can stock up!

Empties – July 2021

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I finished in July. I used a few single-use face masks, and you can click here if you’d like to read my latest face mask reviews. Now let’s look at the big bottles…

1 Herbal Essences Moisture Balance Conditioner – a holy grail product. I have plenty of back-up!

2 Original Source Skin Quench Blackcurrant & Moringa Oil Moisturising Shower – this is a nice one! I’d like to buy it again, but it’s been discontinued. I think I’ve seen one more bottle in my stash.

3 Original Source Pink Grapefruit Shower – a really nice shower gel too. Also discontinued. I do have some back-up though.

4 M&S Fragrance Collection Mimosa & Bergamot Eau De Toilette – this is a decent fragrance, and it was nice while it lasted, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

5 Sanctuary Spa Foaming Bath Soak (travel size) – I liked this bath soak a lot, and I’d like to buy the full size.

6 Revlon Nail Care Base Coat – a decent base coat. I would buy it again.

7 Palmolive Aromatherapy Absolute Relax – one of my holy grail shower products. My husband loves it too. I will buy this one again, no doubt!

8 Imperial Leather Mauritian Spa – one of my old favourites. I have one more bottle in my stash.

9 Imperial Leather Beautiful Indulgence Rich Moisturising Body Wash – I like this one a lot too. Also discontinued. 😦 But I have one more bottle.

10 Boots Ingredients Glycolic Acid Toner – this is a very basic toner. I won’t buy it again.

11 Olay Anti-Wrinkle Face Wash With Exfoliating Particles – this is a nice cream wash. Definitely repurchase-worthy.

12 Poundland #6 Anti-Ageing Retinol Facial Serum With SPF 25 – this is a very good serum which I aim to buy again soon!

This is everything I emptied in July. Have you tried any of these products or would you like to try them? Which products have you said goodbye to recently? Feel free to get in touch, and thanks for reading! x

Palmolive Naturals Shower Milk Ultra Moisturization, Pampering Touch and Smooth Delight

Hi there! Since I enjoy so many Palmolive products, I thought I’d tell you about three more favourites of mine: Palmolive Ultra Moisturisation with Olive and Moisturising Milk, Palmolive Pampering Touch with Coconut and Moisturising Milk, and Palmolive Smooth Delight with Macadamia Oil, Cocoa and, of course, Moisturising Milk.
Palmolive shower milk
The olive shower cream is addictive – in a good way. I love the warm, yet green fragrance, and I think this shower gel is perfect for all seasons. It’s green enough to feel refreshing on a warm summer day, but it’s also rich and comforting on a wintry day. Lovely!

The coconut shower cream smells absolutely divine. I think it doesn’t smell like coconut at all – but that’s a good thing in my book. 🙂 I can’t describe the fragrance but I’d say it’s tropical, warm, sensual and fresh – all at the same time. Perfect!

The macadamia shower cream is a new favourite of mine. It smells warm, sweet and nutty – almost like a cake or a dessert. The fragrance is absolutely delicious!

I will definitely buy all of these shower creams again. The fragrances make me happy, and the moisturising formula of Palmolive’s shower creams is soft and gentle to my skin. Palmolive Ultra Moisturisation, Palmolive Pampering Touch, and Palmolive Smooth Delight are usually about £2 each, but there’s always a half price offer somewhere. 🙂

Palmolive Aroma Therapy Absolute Relax, Morning Tonic, Sensual

Hi there! Whilst I love a good home spa experience, I’m not keen on expensive products which, in my opinion, are no better than the usual suspects from the drugstore. So meet my favourite cheap home spa buddies:

Palmolive Aromatherapy Absolute Relax with Ylang-Ylang and Iris, Morning Tonic with Tangerine and Lemongrass, and Sensual with Moroccan Rose and Ginseng. These shower gels smells absolutely amazing!
Palmolive Aroma Therapy
Absolute Relax is a long-term favourite shower gel of mine. The floral fragrance wraps you in a warm cocoon of iris and ylang-ylang. Absolutely heavenly! Morning Tonic is an old favourite which I haven’t seen in years. And I’m so glad it’s back. This shower gel smells of sweet greenery. It’s like a gentle wake-up on a summer morning. Sensual is a typical ‘red’ shower gel. It’s intoxicatingly feminine, sweet and elegant.

Now Palmolive, could you please bring back the matching bath gels? And could you please also make body lotions with these captivating fragrances?

Palmolive Aroma Therapy Absolute Relax, Morning Tonic and Sensual are available at most supermarkets and drugstores for about £2 each. However, they’re often on special offer. A few weeks ago they were 79p each somewhere (I believe it was Home Bargains, but I’m not sure), so I bought 9 bottles!
