January Beauty Awards

Hi there! Today’s post is about my favourite products in January. I didn’t write many posts at all – in fact it’s been another terrible month for blog posts, but I’m glad that I got to review a few amazing products. Here are the TOP 3:

3rd place – Skin Techniques Vitamin C Eye Serum

This cheap eye serum turned out to be an amazing find! I think it’s awesome!

Runner-Up – Palmolive Naturals Pampering Touch With Coconut & Moisturising Milk, Palmolive Naturals Ultra Moisturization With Olive & Moisturizing Milk

I love these Palmolive shower gels! Iconic stuff!

WINNER – Elizabeth Arden White Tea Ginger Lily Eau De Toilette

Elizabeth Arden White Tea Ginger Lily is such a gorgeous fragrance! My husband loves it too! Score!

Have you tried any of these products or would you like to try any of them? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by! xx

Revisiting Old Favourites – Palmolive Naturals Pampering Touch With Coconut & Moisturising Milk, Palmolive Naturals Ultra Moisturization With Olive & Moisturizing Milk

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 of my all-time favourite shower gels – Palmolive Naturals Pampering Touch With Coconut & Moisturising Milk and Palmolive Naturals Ultra Moisturization With Olive & Moisturizing Milk. I dug them up from my seemingly bottomless stash. And I was more than happy to put them in the shower.

I used Palmolive Naturals Pampering Touch With Coconut & Moisturising Milk first. This shower gel is just as I remembered it – the formula is lovely and gentle, and the fragrance is fresh and warm at the same time – which makes it suitable for all seasons, I think. This shower gel does NOT smell like coconut at all – although Palmolive changed the fragrance and the current version is coconut overload. But this oldie from a few years ago is pure bliss!

Onto Palmolive Naturals Ultra Moisturization With Olive & Moisturizing Milk which is just as wonderful. I already mentioned the amazing formula, so let’s get to the fragrance! This shower gel has a gorgeous green fragrance. It’s also fresh and warm at the same time, and I’m enjoying it so much! Fortunately, this shower gel is still around – although I’d prefer smaller bottles as the 750ml is unreasonably big!

Palmolive Naturals Pampering Touch With Coconut & Moisturising Milk used to be available as a 250ml – but it’s gone forever because of the needless change of fragrance. Palmolive Naturals Ultra Moisturization With Olive & Moisturizing Milk also used to be available as 250ml but I only ever see it as a 750ml family size now. A bottle of that size is quite a commitment for a 2-people household. I wish they still did 250ml. Ah well… hopefully, Palmolive can restore its bath and shower range to its former glory as it would mop the floor with Radox, Imperial Leather and Original Source! Fingers crossed!

Palmolive Hidden Heaven Shower Gel, Palmolive Sauna Retreat Shower Gel

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 new shower gels I picked up at Superdrug last week – Palmolive Hidden Heaven Shower Gel and Palmolive Sauna Retreat Shower Gel. Palmolive is probably my favourite brand for shower and bath products, so I’m always happy to give their new products a try.

Let’s start with Palmolive Hidden Heaven Shower Gel. From the bottle, it smelled a bit familiar. Lovely and familiar. But I couldn’t put my finger on it. When I used it in the shower, I realised it was the reincarnation of an old favourite – Palmolive Aroma Therapy Morning Tonic. I have one more bottle of Morning Tonic in my stash, and after sniffing and testing both shower gels side by side, I can confirm that Hidden Heaven and Morning Tonic are about 97% the same. Morning Tonic is a bit stronger, and that’s what lets me tell these shower gels apart. But it’s pretty much the same tangerine and lemongrass fragrance! 😍

Onto Palmolive Sauna Retreat Shower Gel! This is another fabulous shower gel that I like a lot! It has a beautiful warm and cuddly vanilla scent with woods and macadamia in the background. Macadamia isn’t listed anywhere, but vanilla, woods and macadamia come to my nose. I will leave this shower for when it’s less hot in a few weeks.

Based on my experience, I’d recommend these shower gels. If you’re interested, Palmolive Hidden Heaven Shower Gel and Palmolive Sauna Retreat Shower Gel are available as 250ml each. I paid £1 each (special offer).

Palmolive My Fresh Splash Shower Gel, Palmolive Memories Of Nature Flower Field Shower Gel

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 Palmolive shower gels which I found at my local Superdrug store – Palmolive My Fresh Splash Shower Gel and Palmolive Memories Of Nature Flower Field Shower Gel.

Palmolive My Fresh Splash Shower Gel is simply wonderful! I wish I had seen this one sooner, as it would have been perfect for the summer. It smells of refreshing citruses and sunshine. I love it! In addition, it also feels slightly moisturising – truly great stuff! Too bad this is is a limited edition, otherwise this would become a beauty staple!

Palmolive Memories Of Nature Flower Field Shower Gel has a sweet, powdery-floral scent. Whilst it’s not my favourite scent in shower gels, I love the gentle yet cleansing feel of it. If you love powdery-floral scents (i.e. Kenzo Flower), you might want to give this one a try.

Palmolive My Fresh Splash Shower Gel and Palmolive Memories Of Nature Flower Field Shower Gel are available as 250ml each. I paid £1 each (special offer).

Revisiting Old Favourites – Palmolive Aroma Therapy Morning Tonic, Sensual, Absolute Relax

Hi there! Today’s post is about 3 of my all-time favourite shower gels – Palmolive Aroma Therapy Morning Tonic, Sensual and Absolute Relax.

Palmolive Aroma Therapy Morning Tonic with tangerine and lemongrass is one of the most amazing green shower gels ever. It’s refreshing, but also sweet and warm at the same time. It smells like a summer holiday in Italy. 11 stars!

Palmolive Aroma Therapy Sensual with Moroccan rose and ginseng is another incredible shower gel. It has a beautiful, warm, rich – yet transparent – rosey fragrance. I think “Sensual” is the perfect name for this shower gel.

Palmolive Aroma Therapy Absolute Relax with ylang ylang and iris is the ultimate purple shower gel. It smells like the perfect mix of velvety leaves and white tea. It’s simply stunning!

My husband loves all of these shower gels too. So whenever I start using any one of these, he puts his man shower gel aside and “helps me” finish the Palmolive one! 😁

If you’re interested, Palmolive Aroma Therapy Morning Tonic, Sensual and Absolute Relax are available as 250ml each. The first 2 have been discontinued, but can still be found online. The third one is fortunately still available in drugstores and supermarkets. I hope that it’ll be around forever, and that the other ones will be reintroduced at some point so I can stock up!

Palmolive Gourmet Chocolate Passion Body Butter Shower Cream, Palmolive Gourmet Vanilla Pleasure Body Butter Shower Cream

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 shower gels which I started to use about 2 weeks ago – Palmolive Gourmet Chocolate Passion Body Butter Shower Cream and Palmolive Gourmet Vanilla Pleasure Body Butter Shower Cream. Onto the reviews!

Palmolive Gourmet Chocolate Passion Body Butter Shower Cream is quite likely the most delicious and authentic smelling chocolate shower product I’ve ever used. It’s outstanding! I love the formula too – non-drying, maybe even slightly hydrating. I love this shower gel!

Palmolive Gourmet Vanilla Pleasure Body Butter Shower Cream is nice and pleasant, but it’s not the most special shower gel. The formula is amazing (same as the chocolate shower gel), but the vanilla fragrance isn’t spectacular. My husband likes this one, and I’m happy for him to finish it.

If you’re interested, Palmolive Gourmet Chocolate Passion Body Butter Shower Cream and Palmolive Gourmet Vanilla Pleasure Body Butter Shower Cream are available as 250ml each. I paid £1 each (special offer at Asda, I believe).

Revisiting Old Favourites – Palmolive Naturals Irresistible Softness Black Orchid & Moisturising Milk Shower Milk, Palmolive Aroma Moments So Sweet Shower Gel With Rooibos Tea, Rose And Almond

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 shower gels which are old favourites of mine – Palmolive Naturals Irresistible Softness Black Orchid & Moisturising Milk Shower Milk and Palmolive Aroma Moments So Sweet Shower Gel With Rooibos Tea, Rose And Almond. I found these gems in my stash just a few weeks ago. I remembered how much I used to love these, so I wanted to retry them right away!

Palmolive Naturals Irresistible Softness Black Orchid & Moisturising Milk Shower Milk is amazing! It smells of velvety ochid petals mixed with sweetness and femininity. Wow! Simply dreamy!

Palmolive Aroma Moments So Sweet Shower Gel With Rooibos Tea, Rose And Almond is another stellar product. I love the rose, almond and tea fragrance. It’s sweet, it’s floral, and it smells like… you’re being hugged by sunlight. Truly awesome stuff!

I love these shower gels! Palmolive Naturals Irresistible Softness Black Orchid & Moisturising Milk Shower Milk and Palmolive Aroma Moments So Sweet Shower Gel With Rooibos Tea, Rose And Almond are available as 250ml each. These fragrances have been discontinued, but I’ve actually seen these at discount stores very recently (and I stocked up).

Palmolive Italian Gardens, Palmolive Santorini Breeze

Hi there! Today’s post is about these 2 limited edition shower gels I picked up at Poundland – Palmolive Italian Gardens and Palmolive Santorini Breeze.

Palmolive Italian Gardens is a lovely and sunny lemon shower gel. It’s not a pure, tangy lemon, but more of a lemon and lemon flower scent. It’s very nice!

Palmolive Santorini Breeze is simply fantastic. It smells like green figs, fig leaves and honey. Wow! I also like the non-drying formula which is gentle on dry and moody skin.

Palmolive Italian Gardens and Palmolive Santorini Breeze are available as 500ml each for £1.50 each (Poundland).
