Empties – November 2021

Hi there! It’s the first day of a new month, so this means that today’s post is about last month’s beauty trash = November’s empties. I used a bunch of single use face masks, and you can read about my latest face mask finds if you click here. Now let’s look at the big bottles and tubs and…

1 Radox Blueberry Scent Bath Bomb (no photo) – this was a single-use bath bomb, hence no photo. I enjoyed this bath bomb, and I might buy it again.

2 Original Source Green Banana & Bamboo Milk Moisturising Shower Milk – this is a really nice shower gel! I’d buy it again, but unfortunately, it was discontinued.

3 Radox Muscle Relax Bath Salts With Peppermint Scent – I used them twice and didn’t care for them. My husband used most of these salts, but he also didn’t love them. I won’t buy these bath salts again.

4 Max Factor Pan Stik 12 True Beige – my all-time favourite foundation! I have a few more of these!

5 Superdrug Layering Lab Paradise Body Mist – I liked this one a lot, and I will buy it again.

6 Valjean Labs Restore Facial Serum – a decent serum. Not groundbreaking though. I won’t repurchase it.

7 Boots No7 Total Renewal Micro-Dermabrasion Exfoliator – this is a very nice product. I will buy it again, no doubt.

8 Patisserie De Bain Mango Sorbet Hand Cream – a decent hand cream. Repurchase-worthy.

9 Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream – this is the US version of the cream, and I didn’t like it as much as the UK version. This one isn’t very moisturising, unfortunately.

10 Palmolive Aroma Therapy Absolute Relax – an all-time holy grail shower gel. I have a few more of these.

11 L’Oréal Elvive Colour Protect Caring Conditioner – a very nice conditioner! I have another shampoo and conditioner combo in my stash.

12 Westlab Dead Sea Salt Soothing Bath & Shower Gel – a nice shower gel. I can see myself buying it again.

November wasn’t a bad month for empties. I hope I can keep the streak going and finish the year with at least 12 more products (aiming for a few more, though…). Fingers crossed!

Patisserie De Bain Mango Sorbet & Pineapple Paradise Hand Creams

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 hand creams – Patisserie De Bain Mango Sorbet and Patisserie De Bain Pineapple Paradise. These are usually around £4 – £5 each, but I found these at Poundland for £1 each, so I bought them.

Patisserie De Bain Mango Sorbet Hand Cream is a decent hand cream. It’s very nourishing, and I every time I use it, I can feel it on my hands for a while. It’s a heavy hand cream (in a good way), so better suited for night-time use. The mango scent is more like a mix of mango and orange, but it’s nice.

Patisserie De Bain Pineapple Paradise Hand Cream smells exactly like the palm trees from Haribo’s Tropifrutti mix. Wow! The scent was a lovely surprise, but I can see it getting old eventually. Having said this, I’m still enjoying this hand cream – because of the fun scent and also because it’s a nourishing hand cream.

Patisserie De Bain Mango Sorbet Hand Cream and Pineapple Paradise Hand Cream are available as 50ml each. The price will depend on where you shop! 😁

Patisserie De Bain Raspberry Roulade & Orange Crush Hand Creams

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing 2 hand creams which I picked up for £1 each at my local Poundland – Patisserie De Bain Raspberry Roulade & Orange Crush! Let’s get straight to the review!

Patisserie De Bain Raspberry Roulade smells of sweet raspberries. The fragrance is very authentic, and if you love raspberries, this one’s definitely worth a try! I’m also happy to report that this hand cream feels very hydrating – almost nourishing. This is a very nice hand cream!

Patisserie De Bain Orange Crush is just as moisturising, and I’m happy with the quality of the product. However, I don’t love the fragrance – it’s a cheap Orangina kind of fragrance. I think this one might become a foot cream!

Patisserie De Bain Raspberry Roulade & Orange Crush are available as 50ml each. I paid £1 each.

Patisserie De Bain Sweet As Cherry Pie Body Mist

Hi there! Today’s post is about Patisserie De Bain‘s Sweet As Cherry Pie Body Mist. 🙂

Patisserie De Bain is a UK brand that specialises in toiletries with sweet-treat fragrances. I’ve previously tried and reviewed their Cranberries & Cream and their Crème Pâtissière body products.

I haven’t blown away by their offerings, but since a number of Patisserie De Bain products have ended up at Poundland, I was happy to pick up a few items – like this body mist.

I’ve been using this body mist on and off for a few weeks now, and I have to say that I like it! As of now, it’s my favourite Patisserie De Bain product. Here’s why…

This spray is the perfect cherry fragrance. It’s sweet, it’s fruity, but it doesn’t have that old dish towel smell that so many cherry pie themed body products seem to have. Whilst it appears that this body mist is aimed at teenagers and women in their early twenties, I have to say that it reminds me of the slightly medicinal, yet unbelievably delicious cherry note in Délices de Cartier!

Patisserie De Bain‘s Sweet As Cherry Pie Body Mist is available as 150ml. I paid £1 (Poundland).

Patisserie De Bain Sugared Violet Hand & Body Lotion

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Patisserie De Bain Sugared Violet Hand & Body Lotion.

I’ve been using this body lotion on and off since I bought it about 6 weeks ago. And here’s what I think…

This body lotion smells of sugared violets. However, the fragrance is rather synthetic. It’s not bad, but it’s simply not credible as a semi-genuine foody scent.

Whilst I think that this body lotion is easy to spread and that it sinks into the skin quickly, I don’t think that it’s particulary moisturising.

I would say that it’s good enough for “maintenance” and for when you’re in a hurry (early morning starts), but if you have dry skin, this body lotion is just not good enough.

I will finish this body lotion, but I wouldn’t repurchase it.

Patisserie De Bain Sugared Violet Hand & Body Lotion is available as 200ml for £4.99. I paid £1 (Poundland).

Major Haul! Yves Saint Laurent, Thierry Mugler, The Crème Shop, Patisserie De Bain, Soap & Glory, Sanctuary Spa, Boots No.7, Valjean Labs & More!

Hi there! Since I’ve been shopping a lot lately, I thought I’d let you know what I got my hands on. It’s mainly stuff from the bargain stores and discounted gift sets from the post-Christmas sale. OK, here’s everything I picked up!

Thierry Mugler Aura gift set£32.66. Debenhams.

Max & More No. 4 Nude Eyeshadow Palette£2. I haven’t heard of Max & More, so I looked up the brand… apparently it’s a cruelty-free brand from the Netherlands. Fantastic stuff!

Max & More No. 1 Forest Eyeshadow Palette£2. I found these palettes at Poundland.

Primark Holler And Glow Nails Before Tails Nail Polish Set£4.
Patisserie De Bain Raspberry Roulade Hand Cream, Orange Crush Hand Cream£1 each.
Patisserie De Bain Sweet As Cherry Pie Body Mist£1.
The Patisserie De Bain products are Poundland finds!

Lisseau Cocoa Body Butter80p.
Liseau Vanilla Body Butter80p.
These body butters are from Poundstretcher!

YSL Cinéma Eau de Parfum£31.50 (half price offer, Debenhams).
Malki Dead Sea Natural Sulphur Soap x2, £3.75 each and a 3 for 2 offer, so I am pretty annoyed that Boots forgot the 3rd item – but I have dropped them an email, and I hope they send me the missing Dead Sea soap asap.

The Crème Shop Santa’s List Charcoal Sheet Mask (pack of 5)£4.99.
The Crème Shop Pumpkin Spice Fusion Sheet Mask (pack of 5) £4.99.
These masks are from TK Maxx!

The Crème Shop Last Christmas Naughty & Nice Sheet Masks (pack of 6, 3 Naughty and 3 Nice masks) – £5.99.
TK Maxx, again.

The Crème Shop Holiday Cheer & Clear Sheet Masks (pack of 6, 3 Naughty and 3 Nice masks) – £5.99.
Yup, they’re from TK Maxx as well.

Valjean Labs Revive + Renew Day Serum And Sleeping Mask Duo £9.99.
Another TK Maxx find!

Sanctuary Spa gift set£7. Boots.

Another Sanctuary Spa gift set. This one contains a shower gel, luxury bath float, body butter and hand cream. These are all full sizes. I’m sorry I haven’t opened this one yet. 1 at a time! This set was £12.50. Boots.

Sanctuary Spa gift set number 3 – £10. Yes, Boots again.

Soap & Glory Clean On Me and Scrub Of Your Life. These came in a gift set with…

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter, Hand Food and 2 bath bombs. I am not going to use the bath bombs. They’re glittery. I’ll give them to the first person who wants them. The gift set with all 6 products was £10. Boots.

Creightons Hand CreamsArgan Oil, Cocoa Butter, Manuka Honey. I am not sure how much these were, but I’ll check the next time I swing by Home Bargains.

2 more Patisserie De Bain Hand Creams – these were £1 each. Poundland.

Boots No.7 gift set – this set contains all sorts of goodies. It was £39 (better than half price offer before the sale even started). Boots.

And finally… I bought 2 more George at Asda duvet cover sets. They’re king size, and they were £14 each. I love these designs! However, I need to stop buying duvet cover sets. I bought 6 over the past year, and even though I got rid of all the old (very old, actually) duvet cover sets, I have more than enough now.

*** By the way, please remember not to dispose of unwanted textiles of any kind (clothes, towels, bedding, etc) with your household rubbish. Your local charity shop will gladly accept items in good condition, H&M and other high street stores run textile recycling schemes (H&M accepts clothes and household textiles like towels and bedding), and animal shelters are usually happy to accept towels and duvet covers (but not duvets as they’re difficult to clean and they can’t be recycled). ***
