100% Cruelty-Free – Montagne Jeunesse Wild Strawberry Peel Off Face Mask

upload-1Hi there! Over the past few weeks I’ve reviewed quite a few Superdrug face masks. So I think it’s time for another Montagne Jeunesse face mask!

Now meet Montagne Jeunesse Wild Strawberry Peel Off with natural wild strawberry and rhubarb extracts.

This mask is a peel-off mask. You apply it, you let it dry for about 15 to 20 minutes, then you peel it off, and then you rinse off any residue.

How’s this mask? I think it’s alright. It’s just as good as any other peel-off mask.

However, I don’t love the fragrance. The rhubarb scent is quite strong, and the strawberry note is cloyingly sweet. I wouldn’t buy this face mask again – but that’s only because I don’t care for its fragrance.

If you’d like to try this mask, you can pick it up for £1 (give or take a few pence, depending on where you shop) at Poundstores, Boots, Asda, pharmacies, etc. This mask carries the Leaping Bunny logo – it’s certified cruelty-free!

100% Cruelty-Free – Montagne Jeunesse Pineapple Peel Off Mask

Montagne Jeunesse Pineapple Peel OffHi there! Let me tell you about my new favourite peel-off face mask, Montagne Jeunesse Pineapple Peel-Off.

This face mask works like all the other peel-off face masks out there – you apply it, you let it dry, and then you peel it off.

I think this mask leaves my skin feeling soft, clean and refreshed – which is what I expected.

However, I didn’t expect to fall in love with the fragrance. This mask smells absolutely delicious!

So if you love the aroma of pineapples, you need to try this mask. If you’re looking for a new peel-off mask, you need to try this one. If you’ve never had a peel-off mask, you should try it!

Another thing that’s great is that this mask is suitable for vegetarians, and that it’s BUAV-approved – it carries the Leaping Bunny logo which means this product is cruelty-free! So there’s no reason not to try this amazing face mask. 🙂

100% Cruelty-Free – Montagne Jeunesse Passion Peel-Off Mask

Montagne Jeunesse Passion Peel OffHi there! If you read Monday’s post, you know that I’ve got a ridiculous amount of face masks. But I’m tackling my stash by using one mask every four to six days (as usual) – and by not stocking up on any more face masks (that’s new).

Today I’m telling you about my experience with Montagne Jeunesse’s Passion Peel-Off Mask.

First of all, this mask is available for around £1. But I found Montagne Jeunesse face mask duos (yes, that’s two masks!) at Poundland (where the Passion Peel-Off mask is teamed up with the brilliant Lemon Zest mask).

But back to the Passion Peel-Off Mask. The first thing I noticed is that this mask smelled exactly like Superdrug’s Fruit Sorbet Antioxidant Peel-Off Mask.

So I checked the ingredients of both face masks, and I found the first third (or so) of the listed ingredients is the same for both masks. Sure, the proportions may be different, and there are certain ingredients (i.e. polyvinyl alcohol) which can be found in all these peel-off masks. But since I’ve never actively compared ingredients, I was a bit surprised by how similar these masks are.

However, I’ve noticed that Montagne Jeunesse’s Passion Peel-Off Mask was considerably less runny than Superdrug’s mask. So Montagne Jeunesse’s mask was easier (and less messy) to apply.

As always, I left the mask on until it was completely dry (about 20 minutes). Then I peeled off the mask (Awesome fun!) with my fingers, and then I rinsed off the residue in the shower. The result was soft, smooth and clean skin – just as expected. 🙂

I think this is another very nice face mask from Montagne Jeunesse. And I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a fruity peel-off mask. Another plus is that this mask is suitable for vegetarians, and that it’s BUAV-approved – it carries the Leaping Bunny logo which means this product is cruelty-free!

100% Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Tropical Cocktail Peel Off Mask

Superdrug Tropical Cocktail Peel Off MaskHi there! Thanks to a recent promotion (triple points on Superdrug own-brand products AND 3 for 2 on face masks) I bought anther 15 or so face masks.

I’m not a fan of coconuts, but I bought this Superdrug Tropical Cocktail Peel-Off Mask anyway. And I’ve already tried it.

This mask works like any other peel-off mask. You apply it, you let it dry for 15 to 20 minutes, and once it’s dry, you just peel it off.

What I like about this mask is that it isn’t as runny as Superdrug’s Fruit Sorbet Antioxidant Peel-Off Mask. This mask is rather gooey which is great because it’s easier to apply.

Another thing I like is that the pineapple and coconut fragrance isn’t very strong. I can smell a random tropical scent when I apply the mask, but it doesn’t last long. So all in all, I think this is a really nice peel-off face mask. I’d recommend it and I’m sure I’ll buy it again.

If you’d like to try Superdrug’s Tropical Cocktail Peel-Off Mask, it’s 99p only. In addition, Superdrug often runs 3 for 2 promotions on face masks.

100% Cruelty-Free – Montagne Jeunesse Lemon Zest Peel Off Mask

Hi there! The other day I discovered Montagne Jeunesse face mask duos at my local Poundland. Yes – that’s 2 masks for £1. Needless to stay I bought quite a few. 🙂 The first one I tried was Montagne Jeunesse’s Lemon Zest Peel Off Mask which claims to ‘reveal a cleansed, toned and radiant complexion’. Now let’s have a look at how the mask fared!
Montagne Jeuness Lemon Zest Mask
I like that this face mask isn’t too runny. Sure, it’s gooey and gloopy, but gooey masks are obviously easier to apply than runny ones. I also like that this mask dries properly and evenly – after about 20 minutes you won’t be able to find any moist spots on the mask. Because of this it’s super easy (and it’s fun) to peel off the mask. Mine even came off in one piece. Brilliant!

But was the mask actually effective? Yes! I don’t think that my skin looks more radiant, but it feels very clean, smooth and soft! So yes, I would definitely recommend this face mask!

Montagne Jeunesse’s Lemon Zest Peel Off Mask is available as part of a mask duo (the other one’s a pomegranate and passion flower mask) for £1 (Poundland) – so this lemon face mask is actually 50p only! And another big plus is that this face mask is approved by BUAV (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo) and by the Vegetarian Society – so it’s cruelty-free and suitable for vegetarians.

100% Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Fruit Sorbet Antioxidant Peel-Off Mask

Superdrug Fruit Sorbet Face MaskHi there! I bought a bunch of face masks a while ago. But I never touched them – until now. 🙂

So, I’ve now finally tried Superdrug’s Fruit Sorbet Antioxidant Peel-Off Mask.

Out of the sachet this mask is very runny. I tried to keep the goo away from my eyebrows (with peel-of masks you never know what else comes off) but it didn’t really work.

So I let the goo settle for a minute and then I wiped the excess product off my eyebrows. That did work.

For the first couple of minutes the mask felt pleasantly cool and refreshing. But this sensation went as the mask dried.

Superdrug recommends to leave the mask on for 10 – 20 minutes or until the mask has dried. I left it on until it was completely dry – which was about 25 minutes. It was easy to peel the mask off. A few bits remained on my skin, but it was just as easy to remove these leftover bits with warm water.

I think this mask left my face feeling softer than it usually is. However, I didn’t really notice any other improvement. On the back of the sachet it says the mask lifts away dead skin cells and impurities. Whilst I’m not saying the mask didn’t do that, I certainly didn’t see or feel a difference in this regard.

I’ve got a few more sachets and I’ll try to use the mask on a weekly basis. But I doubt that a mask as gentle as this one would make much of a difference. However, if my skin looks much better in a month or so, I’ll definitely report back.

Would I recommend this face mask? Yes and no. If you want a powerful mask that helps with skin impurities, keep looking because this isn’t it – and you’re probably better off with a mud mask anyway. But if you want a gentle and refreshing face mask that softens your skin and makes you feel pampered, this inexpensive mask is definitely worth a try.

Superdrug’s Fruit Sorbet Antioxidant Peel-Off Mask is usually 99p in store – but for some reason it’s only 49p on Superdrug’s web site. In addition, Superdrug runs 3 for 2 promotions on face masks very frequently, so you can get yourself 3 sachets of this face mask for under £1! Fingers crossed they won’t increase the price! 😉
