Yves Saint Laurent Saharienne Eau De Toilette

Hi there! Today’s post is about Yves Saint Laurent Saharienne. I bought the big 125ml bottle last year when I spotted it on sale at one of the big department stores. I’m more than halfway through the bottle, so it’s time for a review! 🙂

First of all, this fragrance contains the following notes: lemon, bergamot and mandarin (top notes), white flowers, cassis, orange flower, galbanum and petitgrain (heart notes), as well as ginger and pink pepper (base notes).

What’s the fragrance like? I think Saharienne is nothing more than a glorified cologne. It smells of bergamots and white flowers, it’s definitely a unisex fragrance, it’s very mediterranean, but it’s hardly more than an inoffensive (summer) office fragrance. And whilst I enjoy wearing Saharienne to the office, I wouldn’t repurchase it because it’s not very special.

It appears that Yves Saint Laurent Saharienne has been discontinued. None of the big retailers have it in stock. However, I have no doubt that it can be found online for years to come!

I Love… Chocolates & Oranges Refreshing Body Spritzer, I Love… Gingerbread Refreshing Body Spritzer

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 I Love… body mists that I picked up a few months ago – I Love… Chocolates & Oranges Refreshing Body Spritzer and I Love… Gingerbread Refreshing Body Spritzer. I forgot that I had these body mists, but I remembered that I bought them when I saw they were still on sale (Primark) the other day. To make a long story short… I went looking for these two body mists in my stash – and I found them! And now that I’ve tested them, let me tell you more.

I Love… Chocolates & Oranges isn’t great at all. It smells cheap and synthetic – it’s borderline unpleasant. But since I hated the matching shower gel, it’s not surprising that I didn’t like the body mist.

I Love… Gingerbread smells like gingerbread! Whilst I’ve never liked gingerbread, I have to say this body mist smells exactly like the baked treats. If you like gingerbread, and if you’d like to smell like it, give this body mist a try!

Like I said, these 2 I Love… Refreshing Body Spritzers are available at Primark. My local store isn’t the biggest Primark store, but they have lots of different I Love… products (shower gels, body sprays, etc – different fragrances) for £1 each!

Burberry Weekend For Women

Hi there! Today’s post is about a fragrance which I know I’ll finish soon – Burberry Weekend For Women. A quick look at Burberry’s web site revealed that Burberry Weekend contains the following notes: tangerine, tree sap and reseda plant (top notes), wild rose, peach blossom, iris, hyacinth and nectarine (heart notes), and cedarwood and sandalwood (base notes). If you read on, I’ll tell you what I think of this fragrance.

I think Burberry Weekend is the ultimate nice and inoffensive office fragrance. It’s light, it doesn’t last long, it smells floral and fruity – in a grown-up way, and it’s perfectly forgettable. I understand why someone would buy it (well, after all, I bought it too), although I don’t understand why someone would buy it again and again and again… I mean no disrespect to anyone who loves this fragrance. And I honestly think that Burberry Weekend is a pleasant fragrance – there’s no argument here. But it’s not very special or individual at all…

In any event, I’m glad I only bought the 30ml bottle. And as of today the bottle is about half full. I think I’ll be able to finish this one quickly. It might not be in this month’s empties, maybe not even in next month’s empties (I like warmer fragrances when it’s cold). But this one will be gone by early spring.

Burberry Weekend For Women is available as 30ml for £27, 50ml for £45 and 100ml for £60. However, it’s always on special somewhere. The 30ml bottle can usually be found for about £15, and the 100ml bottle can be yours for less than £30 if you spend 30 seconds comparing prices online. 😉
