22 New Products – Home Bargains, Poundworld, Poundland & Asda Beauty Haul

Hi there! If you read my blog, and if you remember this post – you know I’d like to get away from being a beauty and toiletries hoarder. However, I simply can’t resist a bargain when I see one. Now let’s have a look at the new stuff that’s going to be stashed away somewhere at my place…
haul-10
I found these NSPA shower gels at Home Bargains – for 79p each. These are 500ml and they’re normally £3 at Asda. I think these ones are going to be discontinued. 😦 By the way, all NSPA products are made in the UK.
haul-11
Home Bargains also had a few nice and cheap body mists. From left to right: Anovia Fragranced Body Mist With Fruit Extracts Sensual Argan & Marula 150ml, Anovia Fragranced Body Mist With Fruit Extracts Light & Refreshing Passion Fruit & Pineapple 150ml, Dolly’s Mixtures Peach Melba ‘Just Peachy’ Body Mist100ml, NSPA Luscious Fresh Clementine Body Mist 200ml.

The Dolly’s Mixtures Body Mist was 49p (usually £2 at Asda), the other three body mists were 79p each. I’ve never seen the brand Anovia anywhere before today, so I can’t comment on what their products cost elsewhere, but the NSPA fragrances are usually £3 at Asda. Oh, and all these body mists were made in the UK!

Up next we’ve got Alberto Balsam Stunning Shine shampoo & conditioner. They’re 300ml each and they were £1 each (special offer) at Asda. The next item is NSPA’s Cherry Body Scrub – also from Home Bargains. The 225ml scrub set me back 79p (instead of £3 at Asda). The eyeshadow brush is from Poundworld – of course it was £1.

And here’s the actual beauty stuff – 2 Barry M eyeshadows (£1 for the pack of 2), 2 Sally Hansen nail polishes, 2 Max Factor eyeshadows, 2 Max Factor nail polishes, 2 L’Oréal nail polishes and 1 Rimmel nail polish which is a backup. Some of these products came from Poundland, some from Poundworld. All in all I paid £10 in total for all these eyeshadows and nail polishes.

Yes, I stocked up on stuff I didn’t really need. But everything was so cheap. In fact I only paid £19.02 for everything! I live for bargains, you know. Bargain hunting might actually be ma raison d’être. 🙂 Have you done any shopping recently? Any hauls you’d like to tell me about? Feel free to let me know in the comments. And thanks for reading!

42 New Products – Asda, Superdrug & Bargain Buys Beauty Haul

Hi there! In the past couple of months I haven’t done that much stocking up on stuff I don’t need. 😀 But I just couldn’t resist temptation (offers) the other day. I went to Asda – and found a few items I had to have. And I placed three Superdrug orders in 24 hours. And then I swung by my local Bargain Buys store… Now here’s what I bought!
NSPA at Asda
NSPA Vanilla Fragrance Body Mist (200ml), NSPA Moisturising Shea Butter (200ml), NSPA Pineapple Shower & Bath Gel (500ml) and NSPA Pineapple Fragrance Body Mist (200ml). These products were all on special and they were £2 each.
Haul 6
Dolly’s Mixtures Piña Colada Shower Gel (300ml) and Body Mist (100ml) – these were on special for 75p each! 2 Superdrug Cucumber Peel-Off Mask tubes (75ml each, there was a buy one get second half price offer – so that’s £3.98 in total for 150ml of product), Tommyguns ‘Leave me in Conditioner’ & Styling Crème (250ml) – I bought this one because it was 70p!
Haul 5
3 Superdrug Fruit Sorbet Antioxidant Peel-Off Face Masks – 49p each, 3 for 2 offer – so I paid 98p in total for 3 face masks. B. Soft Blendable Kohl Eyeliner 122 Chocolate and 100 Black – these were 90p each. B. Rich Intense Colour Lipstick 54 Eton Mess and 186 Rose Quartz. The lippies were £1.80 each. And then there’s the B. Sweet Popping Candy Highlight Serum – it was £3.
Haul 7
Superdrug Optimum PhytoBrighter Black Moisturiser and Superdrug Optimum Skin Illuminating Glycolic Overnight Peel. These products are usually £12.99 each – but thanks to a half price offer I paid £6.45 each only.
Haul 3
B. nail polishes were 30p – so I just picked a few randomly – Mulberry, Peach Melba, 3 base coats, Piglet, Minx and Sea Foam.
Haul 4
The day before Superdrug reduced the prices on their B. range dramatically (I think it’s going to be discontinued) was the last day of the 3 for 2 deal on all make-up. I didn’t want to buy anything this time, but MUA nail polishes were 50p only – so I bought 9 polishes for £3 in total. I chose these colours: Red Rose, Leapfrog, Whitewash, Fever Red, Orchid and Pitch Black. I also added two clear polishes to make the most of the 3 for 2 offer. 🙂
Haul 9
I also like to go to Bargain Buys. I always find at least one make-up item or nail polish to buy. This time I bagged 2 NYC nail polish trio packs – they were £1 each. Yes, that’s 6 polishes for £2 in total! The shades in the first set are: I Need A Dollar, Flame The Night and Lavender Cupcake. The shades in the second set are: Love Never Dies, Empire Purple and Perpetual Peony. The picture below is what the trio packs look like. So if you’ve got a Bargain Buys or Poundworld near you, you might want to swing by to check what kind of goodies they’ve got. 🙂
Haul 8
So this is it. Finally! 😀 I didn’t have to buy more skin care, I certainly didn’t need any toiletries, and I don’t even want to mention my nail polish stash (some of the polishes I bought are back-ups of what I’ve already got). But with all those great offers I just couldn’t resist! What can I say? I’m a compulsive bargain hunter! By the way, I only spent just under £44 in total for all of those 42 products – not bad at all! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate it! ♥

Poundland & Poundworld Beauty Haul

Hi there! I’ve paid my local Poundland and Poundworld stores a visit the other day. And I found quite a few things I just had to have. Here’s what I bought:

Montagne Jeunesse face masks – I tried a few Montagne Jeunesse masks just recently and I loved them so much that I bought more. I got six mask duos in total – three Mud Pac / Amore Rose duos and three Passion Peel Off / Lemon Zest Peel Off duos. That’s twelve individual masks for £6 in total.

Vaseline Essential Healing Lotion – I’ve never had this one before, so I bought it. The 200ml bottle was £1 only which is really cheap considering the same size is £2.75 at Superdrug’s.
Haul 1
I almost couldn’t believe it when I found two of my favourite facial cleansers, Olay Essentials Smoothing Face Scrub and Olay Essentials Refreshing Face Wash, for £1 each. Normally these products are around £3 each. I bought two face scrubs and two face washes, so I spent £4 in total for these four products which will last me for at least six month (probably longer) – not bad!

Dove Essential Nourishing Hand Cream – I didn’t really need another hand cream, but £1 for a Dove hand cream is a really good deal.
Haul 2
I’m really pleased with what I bought. And I only spent £12 in total for all those goodies. In case you’re wondering, the face masks were from Poundland, everything else was from Poundworld.

Thanks for reading! 🙂

Beauty Haul – Bargains From The Discount Stores – For £12 In Total!

Hi there! I often go to Poundland, Poundworld, Home Bargains and the likes. That’s because I find great stuff all the time. And I really want to show you what I came home with last week.
Olay Gift Set
This beautiful gift set contains a full size Olay Complete Day Cream (50 ml) and an Olay mirror. As a true Olay girl I had to have it. The face cream alone is usually £10. Superdrug sells the face cream and mirror set for £10. But the same set is £4 only (special promotion) at Poundland if you spend at least £1 in store. Bargain!
Max Factor Nail Polish
I also got my hands on 3 Max Factor Glossfinity nail polishes. From left to right: 140 Cobalt Blue, 100 Candy Floss, and 175 Aqua Marine. MF Glossfinity polishes are usually £5.99 at the big drugstore chains. But I got these for £1 each from Poundland and Poundworld.
Max Factor ES
I was really please to find Max Factor Max Effect Mono Eye Shadows as well. The two shades I bought are 12 Mysterious Black and 07 Vibrant Mauve. Max Factor has launched new mono eyeshadows, so these ones are on the way out – but they’re still £4.99 each at Superdrug. Or £1 each at Poundland and Poundworld.
Imperial Leather Shower 05
Up next are toiletries. I got Imperial Leather’s 500 ml (that’s 100% extra free!) Skin Kind body washes. The fragrances are (from left to right) Raspberry & Lime Blossom, Cotton Extract & Oat Milk, and Cucumber & Aloe Vera. They’re usually about £2.79 each – but Poundland sells them for £1 each.

I haven’t used any of these products yet, but the face cream, the shower gels and the eyeshadows are going to be used soon! I’ll let you know how I like all these products. 🙂

Poundworld Make-Up: Miss Beauty London Smooth Coverage Lipstick 360 Heather

Hi there! If you saw yesterday’s post, you know that I picked up two items from Poundworld’s new make-up range. Yesterday I reviewed the face powder, and now’s the time to tell you what I think of Miss Beauty London Smooth Coverage Lipstick 360 Heather.
Miss Beauty Lipstick 360 Heather
When I applied the listick I was surprised how creamy and moisturising it was. But despite the smooth texture the colour payoff was incredibly intense. I didn’t expect that at all. However, due to its creaminess I think this lipstick is best applied with a brush to get the right amount of colour onto the lips.

There’s one thing I didn’t like: When I removed the barcode sticker (which sealed the lippie), the sticky goo from underneath the sticker didn’t come off as easily as I had hoped. As I had done my nails only a few hours earlier, my poor husband had to remove the goo with nail polish remover… 😀

Anyway, I think that this lipstick is quite reasonable, especially as it’s £1 only. I didn’t like any of the other shades, but I can see myself wearing this shade.

Poundworld Make-Up: Miss Beauty London Pressed Powder 18 Ivory

Hi there! About two months ago Poundworld launched its own make-up range, Miss Beauty London. The products are made in the UK by the same company that also manufactures 2True products, so I was interested to see how Miss Beauty London would hold up.

When I had a look at what was on sale, I wasn’t too impressed. They had lots of lip and nail products, but only a handful of eyeshadows. The nail colours didn’t look bad at all, but the shades were fairly standard so I didn’t pick up any nail polish. In the end I bought two products – a lipstick (to be reviewed shortly) and this Miss Beauty London Pressed Powder (18 Ivory).
Miss Beauty Powder
This shade, 18 Ivory, is really nice for pale girls. It’s certainly the perfect shade for me because it’s a perfect match for my skin tone. This is also the reason why I didn’t take a photo of the powder on my skin – you wouldn’t see anything.

Another bonus: The powder has sunscreen and vitamin E added to it.  I don’t think that I need the extra sunscreen from the powder because my Olay moisturiser protects me from the sun. I also don’t think that the vitamin E reaches my skin because I use Max Factor’s Pan Stik. 🙂 But it’s nice to know the manufacturer thought of adding sunscreen and vitamin E – just in case.

In terms of quallity, this product is average. I’ve had better and worse face powders. It does what it’s supposed to do – it controls shine and sets make-up, but it needs a touch up every couple of hours. But then again, it’s £1 only so you can’t really go wrong. I’ll definitely keep this powder in my make-up bag!
