Empties – February 2021

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I emptied in February. I used 12 single-use face masks. I didn’t keep the empty sachets (I never do), but the big bottles are more fun anyway. 🙂

1 Westlab Cleansing Himalayan Salt – my husband and I like these bath salts a lot. I have 2 more big bags in my stash – 1 of them is already in use. Since my husband used these bath salts too, this is a shared empty!

2 Radox Feel Relaxed Lavender & Waterlily Bath Soak – I used to like this bath soak, but they changed the fragrance, and now it doesn’t smell great anymore. I won’t repurchase it. This was a shared empty too.

3 Garnier Intensive 7 Days Nourishing Lotion with Mango Oil – this is an alright body lotion. “Alright” isn’t good enough for a repurchase.

4 Herbal Essences Revitalise Blue Ginger Conditioner – this is a very nice conditioner. I will buy it and the matching shampoo again!

5 Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Original Moisturising Shower Cream – a lovely shower gel. I have a backup bottle!

6 Paco Rabanne Ultrared (x 2) – this is a cute berry and liquorice fragrance. I think I have a few more bottles (I used to be obsessed with it when it was new about 10 years ago).

7 Zatik Rosehip & Black Seed Organic Oil Serum – this is excellent for very dry skin! I might buy it again.

8 Creightons Argan Oil Intensive Hand Cream – my husband and I used this hand cream as a foot cream, and it did a good job. I would (re)purchase other hand creams from Creightons, but I didn’t like how this one smelled (I’m generally not the biggest fan of argan oil scented products).

9 Rimmel 60 Seconds 313 Rita Rouge – a nice colour! I’ve worn this a lot over the past few months. But I wouldn’t buy it again. I have dozens of similar nail colours in my stash.

10 Boots No 7 Radiant Results Revitalising Daily Face Polish (travel size x 3) – these were really nice. I might buy the full-size.

This is everything I finished in February. 13 products in total (not counting the single use face masks) – not too bad! Thanks for stopping by, lovelies! x

Beat The Cold With A Hot Bath – Radox Muscle Therapy, Relax and Eastern Spirit

Hi there! I love my daily shower in the moning, but I also love a hot bath before bed, especially during the winter months. I’m emptying countless bottles of bath gel, cream and soak every winter. And this year I’m trying hard to reduce my bottomless toiletries stash by actually using stuff up and not leaving half-empty bottles around the bath tub.

At the moment I’m using three Radox bath soaks in a rota – Radox Muscle Therapy with black pepper and ginseng, Radox Relax with lavender and water lily, and Radox Eastern Spirit with lotus flower and orange blossom. These three bath soaks are very popular in our household. So let’s have a closer look.
Radox Bath 1
Radox Muscle Therapy has been one of my husband’s favourite bath soaks for years. He swears by it. Whenever he’s had a rough day or his muscles ache, this is his go-to bath soak. Muscle Therapy doesn’t do much for me – and that’s mainly because I find the black pepper & ginseng fragrance too masculine. But that’s alright. My husband and I agree that Muscle Therapy is a man bath soak! 🙂

Radox Relax is my favourite of the bunch. I love the lavender & waterlily fragrance. It smells warm, feminine, pleasant and very relaxing. I’ll definitely buy it again. This bath soak has been renamed. Its new name is Feel Relaxed.

Radox Eastern Spirit is the creamiest of these three bath soaks. The lotus flower & orange blossom fragrance is wonderfully exotic and feminine. If I close my eyes and breathe in, I sometimes forget that it’s cold and dark outside. A very lovely fragrance! This bath soak has been renamed as well. It’s now called Feel Enchanted.

Radox Muscle Therapy, Feel Relaxed and Feel Enchanted are available as 500 ml for £1.99 each – but they can usually be found for £1 each or slightly less. Feel Relaxed is also available as shower gel, and Feel Enchanted is available as hand wash and shower gel.
