Hi there! Today I’m reviewing 3 shower gels which sound perfect for summer – Original Source Hibiscus & Pomegranate Tea, Vanilla & Raspberry, and Skin Quench Cherry & Jojoba Oil. These shower gels are also suitable for vegans – they’re approved by the Vegan Society.
You can find Original Source shower gels in most supermarkets and drugstores where the 250ml bottles retail for £2 to £2.30. Or you can pick them up for £1 or less (bargain stores, special offers). Now onto the reviews!
Original Source Hibiscus & Pomegranate Tea is very nice. It smells of tea, red fruits and exotic flowers. Despite the ‘red’ fragrance this shower gel is actually refreshing. I think it’s one of the best limited editions Original Source ever did!
Original Source Vanilla & Raspberry sounds great – but it’s not. From the bottle it smells like raspberry ice cream, but as soon as you start to lather it up on your skin, the ice cream fragrance disappears, and the shower gel starts to smell like candle wax. The only good thing about this shower gel is that it doesn’t feel drying. However, since I don’t want to shower with anything that smells like candle wax, this shower gel will end up in the hand soap dispenser in the kitchen…
Original Source Skin Quench Cherry & Jojoba Oil is really good. This shower gel is very moisturising (those jojoba oil beads really work), and it smells like boiled cherry sweets. Awesome fun!
Have you tried any of these shower gels, or would you like to try them? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for reading. 🙂

Hi there! Today’s post is about two shower and bath creams which I found at one of the bargain stores a while ago – Possibility Raspberry Pavlova Ultra Rich Shower Gel, Shampoo & Bubble Bath and Possibility Vanilla Crème Brûlée Ultra Rich Shower Gel, Shampoo & Bubble Bath. Whilst I don’t remember what I paid for these two 510ml bottles, I’m sure it was around £1 each. And now, let’s get to the products!
Possibility Raspberry Pavlova really smells like a raspberry pavlova. Whilst it’s not my favourite dessert (or fragrance), I have to say it’s quite authentic. If you love raspberries and / or raspberry pavlovas, this is the shower gel you’ve always wanted. Another plus: The formula is very moisturising!
Possibility Vanilla Crème Brûlée is very nice. I love the moisturising formula, and I think the fragrance is wonderfully natural. It smells of sweet and innocent vanilla and cream. It’s lovely! In fact, it’s that lovely that my husband already moved it closer to his shower gels. I think I’ll use it a few more times, and then I’ll let him have it. It’s not like I’m running out of shower gels any time soon! 😉
Possibility is a brand from the UK. Whilst the big 4 supermarket chains and the big 2 drugstore chains don’t stock Possibility products (yet), you can find them in bargain stores!

Hi there! I found a few I Love… shower products for 89p each (!) at my local Home Bargains store a while back. I had a sniff, I liked them, and I bought them. Now meet I Love… Choca Mocha Lala, Tangerine Dream and Raspberry Vanilla.
Choca Mocha Lala is a shower cream. The formula is quite runny, and the shower cream doesn’t produce much of a lather. But it’s really gentle and it makes my skin feel soft and nourished. The authentic (!) chocolate fragrance is absolutely addictive – it’s super sweet and yummy. 🙂 I think I’ll leave this one for autumn.
Tangerine Dream is a shower gel. It’s just as runny as the Choca Mocha Lala shower cream. However, this one isn’t very nourishing. Saying this, I love the fragrance. Tangerine Dream smells of sunny citruses. It’s like a refreshing breeze on a summer morning. It’s wonderful!
Raspberry Vanilla is another shower cream. It’s quite thick and it feels rich and nourishing. The fragrance is perfectly delicious – like raspberry ice cream!
All these shower products have been discontinued – which is a shame. I know I Love… revamped its entire collection – and I hope the ‘new’ (?) chocolate and raspberry products are similar to Choca Mocha Lala and Raspberry Vanilla. I’ll give the new products a sniff soon! However, it’s sad that Tangerine Dream didn’t make a comeback.
Hi there! I’ve been shopping for toiletries again and I found an interesting looking spa-themed body care collection at Asda: NSPA. They do shower and bath gels, body scrubs, body butters and body mists with different scents (mango, raspberry, vanilla, coconut, passion fruit, etc.).
The products are £3 each, but they had a 3 for £4 offer so I opted for three products from the raspberry collection: NSPA Fresh Sweet Raspberry Shower & Bath Gel, Rich Body Butter and Fragrance Body Mist.
Let me start with the Shower & Bath Gel. If you love the scent and flavour of raspberries, this is a shower gel you should try. The raspberry scent is sweet and quite intense – almost like the real thing. Well done NSPA and Asda! A big plus: You’ll get a 500 ml bottle for £3 which is great value.
Up next is the Rich Body Butter: I’m enjoying this body butter very much at the moment. It’s indeed rich and I can see this one becoming a winter favourite because it really takes care of dry skin. This sweetly-scented raspberry body butter is priced at £3 for a 200 ml tub.
The Fragrance Body Mist is almost literally the icing on the cake. If you want to smell of summery and sweet raspberries, spray this fragrance all over your body. Whilst the raspberry body mist won’t last all day, it really helps if you moisturise your skin with the matching body butter first. In any event, £3 get you a 200 ml bottle which means you’ll get plenty of product to douse yourself in. Incredible value!
I’m very pleased with NSPA‘s offerings and would recommend them if you love raspberry-scented body care products. The fruity products are £3 each , but at the moment most full-size NSPA products are £1.97 only at Asda (I just checked online).
