Nail Of The Day – The Ultimate Halloween Mani Feat. Revlon, Rimmel, MoYou London & More

Hi there! I’ve got a Nail Of The Day post for you today.

For this spooky Halloween mani I painted my nails with:
MUA Whitewash (pinkies, index fingers), Revlon Colorstay 090 Sorbet (ring fingers), and Rimmel I  ♥ Lasting Finish 401 Wedge Of Lime (middle fingers, thumbs).

I used Boots No 7 Devils Delight and a small piece of a sponge for the blood effect. The stamping plate I used is MoYou London’s Festive 53 plate. The black polish I stamped with is Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto.

For this mani I simply “recycled” a few old mani ideas from the past few years and put them together. And I liked the result!

Nail Of The Day – Revlon Colorstay 090 Sorbet & China Glaze Black Mesh

Hi there! This is another mani I did not too long ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon Colorstay 090 Sorbet (2 coats). I’m not a big fan of the colour orange, but this is, without doubt, my favourite orange polish because it’s a great base colour for stamping (evidence here and here).

However, this time I didn’t stamp. I found a few special effect top coats in my stash, like this one – China Glaze Black Mesh.

A few years ago this kind of crackle or shatter top coat was the rage. I didn’t care for these top coats, but when they hit the Poundstores, I picked up a few colours to play with.

Needless to say, I didn’t do too many manis using these special effect top coats… However, I want to make an effort to use unloved products too. And that’s why I ended up with this mani. I think this mani looked kind of cool. Ugly but cool. Cool in its own little ugly way. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Revlon Colorstay 090 Sorbet, Collection 2000 Hot Looks 30 Sherbet Lemons, Rimmel Lycra Pro 322 Sweet ‘N’ Spicy & Stamping With Pueen 79

Hi there! I’ve got a Nail Of The Day post for you today.

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon Colorstay 090 Sorbet. I knew I wanted to stamp, but I found the base colour a little boring, so I decided to add some colour.

I used a small piece of a make-up wedge to sponge yellow and red blobs of colour onto my nails. The 2 colour polishes that I used were Collection 2000 Hot Looks 30 Sherbet Lemons and Rimmel Lycra Pro 322 Sweet ‘N’ Spicy.

Then I stamped! I used Pueen‘s 79 plate (which is part of Pueen‘s Buffet Leisure collection) and a home-made black polish.

I really liked this mani. It doesn’t look super cool when you stare at it from up close, but in real life it looked great.

Have you ever applied nail polish with a make-up wedge or sponge? If so, how did it turn out? And if not, why not?! 😜 Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Halloween Nail Art Ideas / Revlon Colorstay 090 Sorbet & Stamping With MoYou London Festive 53

Hi there! I’ve got a Nail Of The Day post for you today.

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon Colorstay 090 Sorbet (3 coats). I don’t really love the colour, but I think it’s the perfect Halloween-pumpkin colour!

I used MoYou London’s Festive 53 plate and Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go to stamp on the images.

I also used one of my unbranded stamping plates to add a few small bats. 🙂

I think this mani turned out OK. I was hoping it would look cooler and cuter, but all in all, it’s not bad, and it’s definitely very halloweeny!

How do you like this mani? Feel free to let me know! And by the way, if you’d like to order from MoYou, you can get 10% off if you order through this link. Oh, in case you’re wondering… yes, I did purchase this stamping plate myself!

Nail Of The Day – Revlon Colorstay 090 Sorbet & Stamping With Bundle Monster BM-S161 / Nail Art Challenge #12 Stripes

upload-1Hi there! This is my first nail post of the year – and I’m continuing with the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge. This mani is my entry for challenge #12 Stripes.

I didn’t fancy ‘proper’ stripes, so I went for animal stripes.

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon Colorstay 090 Sorbet (2 coats). I’m not a big fan of orange nail colours in general, so whenever I wear orange polish, I stamp!

The image I chose is from Bundle Monster’s BM-S161 plate which is part of Bundle Monster’s Fuzzy & Ferocious collection.

The black polish I stamped with is the phenomenal Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto.

I managed to smudge a few of the images – again. This is what happens when I do my nails 20 minutes before bed time. However, I was still pleased with the mani. It’s not the most individual mani, but in real life it looked surprisingly nice.

Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for reading!
