Empties – August 2020

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I finished in August. I used quite a few single-use face masks. You can read about my latest face mask finds here. Now let’s get to the big bottles and tubes!

1 Thierry Mugler Alien Flora Futura – such a stunning fragrance. I love it! It’s a limited edition from 2018, but it can still be found online. I might buy another bottle.

2 Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Beauty Serum – this is a lovely serum. This is the last tube of the “old” formula. But the current version is awesome too, so I will repurchase that.

3 Superdrug B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz – my go-to face mist. I have plenty of back-up!

4 Lucy B. Royal Water Lotus & Vanilla Musk – another amazing fragrance. I would love to buy it again if I find it somewhere (without having to pay for international shipping plus tax)

5 Imperial Leather Grapefruit & Pomegranate – one of my old favourites. It’s been discontinued, but I have 1 more bottle in my stash.

6 Palmolive Santorini Breeze – this is a very nice shower gel. Those big 500ml are quite a commitment, but I might buy this one again.

7 Alberto Balsam Stunning Shine Conditoner – I like this conditoner (and the matching shampoo) a lot. This collection has been discontinued (and replaced with a terrible new line), but I have another shampoo and conditoner combo as a back-up!

8 + 9 Essence Eyeliners Boogie Nights & Forever Green – I used to like these colours, but I won’t be using these anymore, so bye-bye!

10 Boots Extracts Luxurious Coconut Body Lotion (travel size) – a decent body lotion. I got this as part of a gift set, otherwise I wouldn’t have bought a coconut-scented product. I may have a few more of these…

11 Olay 2 in 1 Cleanser & Toner – such a lovely toner. I have a back-up bottle!

12 Maybelline Color Elixir By Colorsensational 135 Raspberry Rhapsody – I enjoyed this gloss very much, and I’m glad that I have another one in my stash!

13 Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go – this is one of the polishes I used as a stamping polish. I have no doubt that I have a few back-up bottles in my stash.

This is everything I emptied in August. I’ve done better than last month, and I’m happy with this. 🙂 Which products have you finished recently? Anything worth repurchasing? Feel free to let me know in the comments. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 370 Wild Orchid, Sally Hansen Sugar Coat 600 Sour Apple + 210 Royal Icing & Stamping With Pueen 114

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 370 Wild Orchid (middle and index fingers, thumbs, 2 coats).

For the images I used Pueen‘s 114 plate (which is part of Pueen‘s Make Your Day collection), Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure 819 Coat Of Arms.

On my ring fingers and pinkies I used Sally Hansen Sugar Coat 600 Sour Apple (pale green, 2 coats) and Sally Hansen Sugar Coat 210 Royal Icing (sheer turquoise with pink shimmer, 1 coat as a top coat). 🙂

I liked this mani a lot. I’ve rediscovered textured polishes, and I love purple nails with black and gold accents. And this mani has both! What colour nail polish are you wearing at the moment? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Salon Pro 312 Ultra Violet & Stamping With MoYou London Suki 14

Hi there! I hope you had a good weekend. 🙂

I have a Nail Of The Day post for you today. For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Salon Pro 312 Ultra Violet (2 coats).

This kind of nail colour (which I like to call milky purple) is my favourite nail colour!

The stamping plate I used it MoYou London‘s Suki 14 plate. I really like the image that I stamped on the pinkies and middle fingers!

The black polish I stamped with is Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go.

Whilst this wasn’t the most spectacular mani, I did like the look of it!

Nail Of The Day – Revlon 510 Sassy & Stamping With Pueen 74

Hi there! Today’s post is about a simple mani I did very recently. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon 510 Sassy (2 coats). This polish is almost a one-coater, and it dries reasonably quickly. I like it!

I thought the green base would be great for a very early Halloween mani, but I decided to go with a simple floral pattern instead.

I used Pueen‘s 74 stamping plate (which is part of Pueen‘s Buffet Leisure stamping plate collection).

The black polish I stamped with is Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go.

Nail Of The Day – Astor Perfect Stay Gel Shine 604 Just Fabulous, Rimmel 60 Seconds 507 Round And Round In Circles, Revlon Shining Strength & Stamping With Pueen 83

Hi there! This is the 7th Nail Of The Day post this week, so Nail Week is now over!

For this mani I painted my nails with Astor Perfect Stay Gel Shine 604 Just Fabulous (pinkies, ring fingers, 2 coats) and Rimmel 60 Seconds 507 Round And Round In Circles (middle and index fingers, thumbs, 2 coats).

To be honest, the yellow polish could have used another coat, but instead of that I decided to use a random light blue(ish) polish and a small piece of a sponge to add a few blobs of colour.

Then I used Revlon Shining Strength (a.k.a. Revlon 261 Sparkling) to add some sparkle to the ring fingers and pinkies.

And I used Pueen‘s 83 plate (which is part of Pueen’s Buffet Leisure collection) and Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go for the images.

I didn’t love the mani, but I think it was nice enough. I was also happy to find out how beautiful Revlon Shining Strength is. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Galaxy Nails Feat. Rimmel, Manhattan, Sally Hansen & Primark

Hi there! Today’s post is another Nail Of The Day post. I did this galaxy mani a few weeks ago. Here’s how:

I painted my nails with Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go (2 coats).

I used a small piece of a make-up sponge and Primark’s PS… Marshmallow polish to sponge white blobs onto my nails. Then I used 2 colour polishes, Rimmel Lycra Pro 431 Stormy Skies and Manhattan Mode Pilot 01M, to fill in the white blobs. I used a sponge for this too.

There’s no galaxy mani without glitter, so I applied 1 coat of Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear 235 Supernova. This is my favourite glitter top coat!

I’ve done better galaxy manis in the past. However, I still think this one looked quite cool. Do you like nail art? Have you tried to do galaxy nails before? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Galaxy Nails Feat. Rimmel, Sally Hansen, Max Factor, Primark & Essence

Hi there! I’ve got a Nail Of The Day post for you today!

Alrighty, for this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel 60 Seconds Hot Black To Go (2 coats, but 1 would have been enough).

Then I used a small piece of a make-up sponge to apply white blobs (Primark PS Nail Polish Marshmallow) to my nails.

I repeated the process with 2 random colour polishes – Essence Colour & Go 06 Instant Happiness and Max Factor Glossfinity 95 Flaming Pink.

The glitter top coat I used is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 235 Supernova which is not just my favourite glitter top coat, but most likely also the most beautiful and the most versatile glitter top coat in the history of the planet.

I really liked this mani. It was inspited by boredom, but it turned out to be quite cool. Have you tried galaxy nails? If not, why not? Would you like to try galaxy nails? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Revlon 510 Sassy & Stamping With Pueen 109, 114

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did not too long ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon 510 Sassy (2 coats). I don’t love this colour at all, but I’m happy with the quality of the polish which was applied easily and dried quickly.

I stamped with 2 new stamping plates – Pueen‘s 109 and 114 plates (which are part of Pueen‘s super cute Make Your Day stamping collection).

The black polish I stamped with is Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go.

I think the mani looked quite alright. I liked the bright green base, and I really love my new Pueen stamping plates! 🙂

Hi there! I’ve got another Nail Of The Day post for you today. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with NYC In A Minute 264 Lincoln Square Lavender (2 coats). I love this colour so much that I’ve already gone through one bottle.

I used Pueen‘s 76 plate (which is part of Pueen‘s awesome Buffet Leisure stamping collection), and I stamped with Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go.

I’m really happy with this mani. Like I said, I love the base colour. And I think the images came out great too!

How do you like this mani? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!
