Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin, Barry M Bubblegum, MUA Whitewash & Revlon Colorstay 170 Coastal Surf / A-Z Nail Art Challenge F – Fuzzy Topper

Hi there! Today’s post is about the first mani I did for the A-Z Nail Art Challenge. This challenge is called Fuzzy Topper. Cute, eh?

I have quite a few ‘fuzzy toppers’. But, unfortunately, I rarely use them. So this challenge provides the perfect opportunity to sport one of those fuzzy toppers!

And these are the nail polishes that I used:
Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin (base colour, pinkies, index fingers, thumbs),
Barry M Bubblegum (fuzzy topper),
MUA Whitewash (base colour, ring fingers),
Revlon Colorstay 170 Coastal Surf (base colour, middle fingers).

I also stamped! I chose an ornamental floral image for my middle and ring fingers. The stamping plate I used is Pueen’s 74 plate (which is part of Pueen’s Buffet Leisure collection). The black polish I stamped with is Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 080 Black Cab.

How do you like this mani? I think it looks quite nice. And I think I did a good job with these 3 colours! Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 080 Black Cab + Foils

upload-1Hi there! I’ve got another mani post for you today. I’ve done quite a few manis which I never got around to show you, so I’ve decided that I’m doing another nail week this week.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 080 Black Cab (2 coats).

This polish is one of those that I only use as a background colour for foil manis because the formula is just awful. 😦

Why? Well, the polish is thin, it’s poorly pigmented, it takes ages to dry and (despite the name) this polish just doesn’t last long.

I’m talking about visible tip wear in under half a day and chipping within 24 hours…

Rimmel’s I ♥ Lasting Finish collection is definitely my least favourite Rimmel collection.

But back to this mani! I intended to do a messy foil gradient (green, yellow, orange, red). But the first attempt (which you’ll never see any photographic evidence of) went wrong, so I redid the mani – in a much simpler way. So whilst I didn’t manage to do a foil gradient this time, I was still happy with how this mani turned out.

What do you think? Feel free to let me know. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Unicorn Puke Foil Mani

galaxy foilsHi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did a few weeks ago when my nails were shorter. I’m only doing the post now because I didn’t save the photo where I’d normally save it.

But let’s start! I used Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 080 Black Cab as my base colour. I really like this black polish because it doesn’t dry too quickly (great for foils).

I let the polish dry to the point where it would be tacky – and then I started to press different foils (rainbow, gold, blue, purple, red, green, pink, etc) onto my nails. I repeated this process until all the nails looked like they were covered in unicorn puke. 😀

Then I let the mani dry for a while before I applied one coat of regular clear polish.

And this is the finished mani. I’m sorry the nails look messy in the photo – I should have cleaned up around the cuticles before taking the photo. The blurriness is real though – that’s what the mani looked like. 🙂 Sorry about the word puke. But I looked at the finished mani and I thought ‘this is what unicorn puke must look like’. There it was again! Oops! Anyway, thanks for stopping by. The next post will be a regular product review, I promise!

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 080 Black Cab, Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique Kate, Barry M Masquerade & Stamping With JQ-L04

Rimmel Black Cab Andrea Fulerton Kate JQ-L02, Essence Stampy Polish White Barry M MasqueradeHi there! After a few recent nail fails I seem to have found my mani mojo again. 🙂 So today’s post is about a recent mani I really, really liked.

As usual, I didn’t know what to do with my nails. So I started with two base colours – Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique Kate (pinky, index finger) and Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 080 Black Cab (ring finger, middle finger, thumb).

I wanted to stamp. So I selected a few pretty images from my JQ-L04 stamping plate. And I stamped on the images with Essence’s Nail Art Stampy Polish in white.

But I also wanted some sparkle. And I opted for Barry M‘s Masquerade (gold, fuchsia and light blue glitter in a clear base).

I’m very pleased with how the mani turned out. It’s got a butterfly and floral images, glitter, purple and black & white. What’s not to love? 🙂 Please feel free to let me know what you think about this mani. And thank you for stopping by!
