Empties – April 2022

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I finished in April. I used a bunch of single-use face masks – but I didn’t keep the empty sachets (I never do). But here are the big bottles and tubes.

Yves Rocher Monoï Lagoon Moisturizing Perfumed Body Mist – a very nice tropical body mist. I have at least 1 more bottle in my stash.

2 Anna Sui La Vie De Bohème Body Lotion – not my favourite Anna Sui fragrance. The body lotion was nice to use, but I wouldn’t repurchase it (or the matching fragrance).

3 Superdrug Layering Lab Blossom Body Mist – the best cheap Mugler Alien dupe you can find. I have a few more bottles, and I’d always repurchase this body mist.

4 Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum – one of the best serums ever. A definite repurchase.

5 Agent Provocateur Fatale Intense Eau De Parfum – a really nice fragrance, similar to Mugler’s Angel. I don’t think I’d buy it again though. I have a bunch of other Angel dupes to try and use (and use up).

6 MakeUp Gallery Time To Shine Completely Clear 1 – Poundland’s own brand clear polish. Not the best clear polish, but definitely good enough as a base or top coat.

7 Palmolive Aroma Moments So Sweet Shower Gel With Rooibos Tea, Rose And Almond – one of Palmolive’s best shower gels ever! My husband likes this one too. Unfortunately discontinued, but I have a few more bottles in my stash!

8 Sainsbury’s The Collection Sleep Relax Bath Soak – a very nice bath gel, and a definite repurchase!

9 Imperial Leather Indulgence Rich Moisturising Body Wash Beautiful – a lovely shower gel. Unfortunately discontinued, otherwise I’d buy it again.

10 Yves Rocher Jardins Du Monde Energising Shower Gel With Grapefruit – a decent shower gel. Not my favourite type of grapefruit scent, but I would probably still repurchase this shower gel.

11 Rightguard Shower + Oils With Argan, Marula & Almond Oil – what a beautiful shower gel! My husband used it a few times too, and he also liked it a lot! Unfortunately, this one appears to have been discontinued.

12 Gliss Ultimate Volume Conditioner – just lovely! Too bad Gliss discontinued the Ultimate Volume product line, otherwise I’d buy this conditioner (and the matching shampoo) again.

April was a decent month for empties. I’m glad I managed to finish 3 fragrances and 5 shower and bath products. I hope May will be good too. I already finished 2 products today.

The Battle Of The Purples Part II – Asda Sleep & Relax Bath Soak VS Sainsbury’s The Collection Sleep Relax Bath Soak

Hi there! Today’s post is a product comparison, and it’s about Asda Sleep & Relax Bath Soak and Sainsburys The Collection Sleep Relax Bath Soak. They look and sound pretty much the same – but they’re not!

Let’s start with Asda Sleep & Relax Bath Soak! This one was quite a surprise. I bought it as a refill for the hand soap dispenser in the kitchen when hand soap was sold out at the local shops. But this bath soak is too good to be used as a hand soap because it smells way too good! It’s almost an exact copy of Palmolive’s amazing Aroma Moments So Relaxed bath foam, although the fragrance of the Asda bath soak isn’t as rich or as longlasting as the Palmolive one. However, this bath soak really makes me feel relaxed and sleepy. And priced at 75p for a 500ml bottle, this is a total steal! 🤑

Onto Sainsbury’s The Collection Sleep Relax Bath Soak! From the bottle, this bath soak smells rather sharp and cold (in comparison to Asda’s bath soak). So my immediate reaction was that it could hardly become a favourite. I thought this one might become the next kitchen hand wash refill, but I still wanted to give it a try. And I’m glad I did! Once dissolved in water, this bath soak is actually even nicer than Asda’s. The scent is richer and even more purple! Awesome stuff! This bath soak is available as 500ml for 90p which is super cheap!

Based on my experience, I would recommend both bath soaks! I have a slight preference for Sainsbury’s bath soak. But I will repurchase both of them!

Empties – April 2021

Hi there! It’s the first weekday in May, so it’s time for my April Empties post. I used 11 single-use face masks – and you can read about my latest face mask finds here. Now let’s get to the bigger bottles, tubes and tubs!

1 Alberto Balsam Stunning Shine Shampoo & Conditioner – I loved this conditioner (and the matching shampoo). Unfortunately, the entire Blends line has been discontinued. 😦

2 Sainsburys The Collection Sleep Relax Bath Soak – what a surprise find! I have repurchased this one already! My husband used this bath product too, so this is a shared empty.

3 Boots Live + Be Beautiful Connection Bath Soak – this was nice, but I wouldn’t buy it again. I’ve had enough rose-scented stuff for the moment.

4 Ciaté Cabaret – I liked this colour. I wore it on its own a few times, and it looked really good. I won’t repurchase it though. I have lots of similar nail polishes.

5 Olay Anti-Wrinkle Firm & Lift Day Lotion – a beauty staple! Love it! ♥

6 Cellio It’s True Honey Moisture Cream – a lovely moisturiser. I would buy it again!

7 Superdrug Layering Lab Blossom Body Mist – the perfect Mugler Alien dupe as a body mist. I have already stocked up.

8 Tesco Kind & Pure Refreshing Face Wash – a decent face wash. I’d repurchase it (although not now as I have a few other face washes to finish).

9 Boots Extracts Sweet Mango Body Scrub – a great product. Too bad the entire line has been discontinued! 😦

10 Radox “Perky Peach” Peach & Berry Scent Shower Gel – a great shower gel! I’d like to buy it again.

11 Superdrug Layering Lab Blossom Body Lotion – I’m glad this body lotion is gone! Bye!

12 Superdrug Layering Lab Blossom Shower Foam – I didn’t care for it at all, and I won’t buy it again.

13 Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Body Mist – this was nice enough while it lasted, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

14 Creightons Manuka Honey Hydrating Hand Cream – one of my favourite hand creams. I would like to repurchase it!

15 Creightons Cocoa Butter Softening Hand Cream – another great hand cream that I’d be happy to buy again.

16 L’Oréal Elvive Full Restore 5 Repairing Cica-Masque – this is actually a really good hair mask but the fragrance started to annoy me half-way through the tub, so I won’t be repurchasing this product any time soon.

17 Boots Extracts Rosehip Body Butter – OMG, I love this body butter! The Extracts line has been discontinued, but I have a few more tubs.

And this is everything I managed to finish in April. Not bad! Which products have you said goodbye to recently? Feel free to let me know via the comments. And thanks for reading!
