Best Of Beauty 2020 – Face

Hi there! 2021 has just begun, but I thought I’d share my favourite products from 2020. Since I loved so many products, there’ll be a second post tomorrow. Anyhoo, today’s post is all about my 2020 favourites for the face (in no particular order).

Elizavecca Milky Piggy Hell-Pore Cleanup AHA Fruit Toner

This toner is just WOW! It’s one of my all-time favourite skin care products!

Elizavecca Milky Piggy Aqua Rising Argan Gelato Steam Cream

Another amazing Elizavecca product! I loved this moisturiser!

Boots No. 7 Youthful Replenishing Facial Oil
Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Refreshing Toning Mist

Boots’ facial oil is the best facial oil I’ve used so far. 11 stars!
Superdrug’s face mist has served me very well, and I’ll buy it again soon!

Cellio It’s True Moisture Skin Pearl Natural Skin Care System

Cellio’s toner is one of my current beauty favourites.

Cellio It’s True Acai Berry Moisture Cream

Cellio’s Acai Berry moisturiser is another current beauty favourite.

Scinic Vita Ade Eye Cream

Scinic’s eye cream was incredible. I’m heartbroken that it’s been discontinued.

Zatik Rosehip & Black Seed Organic Oil Serum

Zatik’s insanely rich oil serum has kept my dry skin in great shape this winter.

Superdrug Vitamin C Detox Skin Care Refreshing Cleansing Pads

Superdrug’s Vitamin C Facial Pads are lovely. I will repurchase them soon.

Primark PS… Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask

Primark’s Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask was one of my favourite beauty finds last summer.

Boots Sheet Mask With Added Dipeptide
Bling Pop Soothing & Brightening Face Mask With Pumpkin

Boots sheet mask with added Dipeptide is simply wonderful.
Bling Pop’s pumpkin sheet mask is awesome too.

DearBoo Lavender & Cactus Everyday Mask
Simple Pollution Protect Sheet Mask

DearBoo’s lavender & cactus mask was a very welcome surprise.
Simple’s Pollution Protect mask has been a firm beauty favourite since the beginning of 2020.

Spascriptions Brightening Spa Treatment Mask With Vitamin C & Glycolic Acid
Montagne Jeunesse Pink Cactus Flower Peel Off

SpaScription’s orange mask is something special.
And Montagne Jeunesse’s cactus flower mask is my favourite peel-off mask of 2020.

And these are my favourite skin care products in 2020. Have you tried any of these products, or would you like to give them a try? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thank you for reading! 😘

Empties – June 2020

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I said goodbye to in June. As always, I used a number of single-use face masks, and if you’d like to read about my latest face mask findings, you can click here. Now let’s focus on the big bottles and tubes.

1 Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Refreshing Toning Mist – this is an amazing face mist which I’ll buy again for sure!

2 Nivea Clay Fresh Deep Cleansing Shower With Hibiscus & White Sage Scent – this is a nice shower gel. I’ll buy this again in the future.

3 Boots Extracts Cocoa Butter Body Wash – I love this stuff! I might have a few more tubes in my stash – I certainly hope so because the entire Extracts collection has been discontinued. 😢

4 Beauty UK 76 Jade – this is a good quality polish! I won’t repurchase it though because I have at least 15 very similar shades in my stash.

5 CND Creative Play Top Coat – this is an amazing top coat. I found it at Poundland! I’m glad I have a few more of these in my stash.

6 Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Beauty Serum – this is a lovely serum. I have one more, and I’m halfway through the second tube as well. I will repurchase the current version of this serum, no doubt!

7 Manhattan Colour Loop Lipgloss 52S Soft Nude – I love this lipgloss! This is already the 2nd one of these that I’ve gone through. I have one more, and I aim to finish it this or next month.

8 Sukin Nourishing Chia Seed Oil – this is a very rich facial oil. It has served me very well. However, I didn’t care for its strong smell, so I won’t repurchase this one.

9 The Body Shop Frosted Berries Shower Gel – I liked the sweet berry fragrance, but the formula was just too drying.

10 Herbal Essences Silk N’ Shine Conditioner – this is my HOLY GRAIL conditioner. It has been discontinued but I’m sitting on a significant stash of original Herbal Essences shampoos and conditioners. 😁

11 Imperial Leather Narwhal Always Love You – I loved this one! I think I’ll buy it again!

12 Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser – this cleanser is good but it’s not in my all-time favourites, so I don’t think that I’ll buy it again.

13 Scinic Vita Ade Eye Cream – This is an amazing eye cream. I hope I can find it again.

14 Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Lotion – I loved this body lotion. Too bad it has been discontinued.

15 Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Spray – another sensational Boots Extracts product that I’ll miss dearly!

16 I Love… Raspberry & Blackberry Refreshing Body Spritzer – this is a lovely all-over body spray. I have at least 1 more of these in my stash.

I think June has been another amazing month for empties. I hope I can continue the streak! 😂

Which products have you said goodbye to recently? Feel free to get in touch via the comments, and thanks for stopping by! 😊

April Beauty Awards

Hi there! Welcome to Mrs Strawberry Blonde’s April Beauty Awards. Well, this post is about my favourite products in April. I chose my favourites from all the products I reviewed this month. I’m starting with the TOP 3, but there are quite few honourable mentions too!

3rd place – Palmolive Aroma Moments So Relaxed Bath Foam
Runner-Up – Yves Rocher Monoï Lagoon Moisturizing Perfumed Body Mist

Palmolive’s So Relaxed is one of my all-time favourite shower and bath products. The fragrance is outstanding!
Yves Rocher did a fantastic job with their Monoï body mist. I’m glad I have several bottles in my stash!

WINNER – Scinic Vita Ade Eye Cream

Scinic’s eye cream is one of my two all-time favourite eye creams. It’s simply marvellous!

Onto the honourable mentions! Alberto Balsam’s Zesty Orange Shampoo & Conditioner are amazing! They came really close to getting into my top 3! Primark’s PS… Charcoal. Detox, Purify & Cleanse Bubble Sheet Mask was lovely, and Primark’s PS… Prep & Perfect Glow Priming Sheet Mask was great too!

I was impressed with Beauty Formulas’ Radiate & Glow Facial Mask, and I’m enjoying Body-X’s Twilight Amber Shower Gel and Rightguard’s Shower + Oils Purple Orchid Shower Gel.

Wow, those are lots of great products! I didn’t think it would be this many, but those cheap face masks and shower gels were unexpectedly lovely! Have you tried any of these products? Or would you like to try any of them? Feel free to get in touch via the comments, and thanks for stopping by! 😘

Scinic Vita Ade Eye Cream

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Scinic Vita Ade Eye Cream which I’ve been using for a little while now. This eye cream promises to moisturise and to brighten dull skin around the eyes. It also claims to improve skin’s elasticity and to reduce wrinkles.

This eye cream contains plenty of amazing ingredients – niacinamide, ceramide, collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamins B, C and E (and others) as well as a number (I stopped counting at 15) of botanics extracts like aloe leaf juice, grapefruit and lime extracts, and many more!

I think this eye cream is wonderful! It’s one of my 2 all-time favourite eye products (the other one’s Olay’s original eye gel). Here’s why: I love the formula. It’s silky and smooth – almost like a serum. The eye cream is easy to apply, and it sinks right into the skin. It plays well with all the other products I’m using (toner, serum, facial oil, moisturiser, foundation, eyeshadow, etc.), and I have no complaints.

I have no lines around my eyes (Phew!), so I can’t comment on whether this eye cream would help with this. Having said this, I have no reason to doubt this eye cream’s youth-restoring powers because it keeps its other promises. I’m happy to report that this eye cream has improved the elasticity of the skin around my eyes, that it’s wonderfully hydrating, and that is really is brightening!

All in all, I love this eye cream, and there’s not a single thing about it that I’m not 100% happy with. Scinic Vita Ade Eye Cream is one of my new beauty favourites! I’d love to tell you how much product you’re getting, but this isn’t mentioned anywhere – I found this is the case with lots of products from Korea. However, I think it’s more than 15ml. Now, let’s look at the price – I only paid £6 for this fantastic product! Thank you, TK Maxx!
