Harmony Hair Indulgence Herbal Shampoo & Conditioner With Ginseng Extract

Hi there! You may remember that I picked up a few different Harmony hair products at Family Bargains (R.I.P. Family Bargains) a while back. OK, of course you don’t remember – but you can read about the other two shampoo and conditioner combos if you click here and here. But now, let’s look at Harmony Hair Indulgence Herbal Shampoo & Conditioner With Ginseng Extract.
Harmony Indulgence Ginseng
The shampoo is really nice. It’s very gentle – but at the same time it does a great job cleansing my hair and my scalp. I think this is one of the best clarifying shampoos I’ve ever had! This shampoo would definitely be gentle enough for people with dry hair – after all, that’s the hair type this shampoo is aimed at!

The conditioner is very good too. Whilst it’s not as good as the original Herbal Essences conditioners (they’re my holy grail products for a reason), it makes my hair feel soft and silky without weighing it down or making it feel greasy. Very nice!

Another thing I love about these Harmony products is their fragrance. Whilst the shampoo and the conditioner don’t smell exactly like a certain fragrance, they strongly remind me of all those popular ‘nude’ fragrances like J Lo Glow or Narciso Rodriguez. So if you like ‘nude’ fragrances or if you buy your hair products based on what they smell like, give these Harmony products a try!

Harmony Hair Indulgence Herbal Shampoo & Conditioner With Jasmine Extract

Hi there! Not too long ago I had Harmony Hair Indulgence Herbal Shampoo & Conditioner with Mulberry Extract. I found those products decent, so I tried another Harmony combo. Now meet Harmony Hair Indulgence Herbal shampoo & conditioner with Jasmine Extract. These two products promise extra shine for coloured hair. Now let’s see if they’re any good. 🙂
Harmony Indulgence Jasmine
The shampoo is quite good. It lathers up nicely, and whilst it cleanses my hair and my scalp properly, it’s not too harsh. The conditioner isn’t that great. It’s not very effective at detangling my long, curly hair. So I have to double-condition just to get all the knots out. I think the conditioner would probably be OK for fine, straight or short hair – but it’s simply not good enough for long, thick and curly hair.

I also think the jasmine fragrance is very strong. However, this is only from the bottle and in the shower. As soon as the products are rinsed out, that overpowering smell is gone and my hair smells of the most wonderful jasmine flowers.

In terms of shine I’m not sure if these products have done much. They didn’t make my hair appear dull, but I don’t think they made my hair extra shiny. So I would say these products maintained my hair’s natural sheen.

L’Oréal Elvive Colour Protect Caring Shampoo & Conditioner

Hi there! As I’m using different shampoos and conditioners all the time, I sometimes forget old favourites – like L’Oréal’s Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner. However, I’ve now bought these two products again – and I remembered why I always loved them so much.

The shampoo is great. It smells pleasant and it cleanses my hair and my scalp nicely. The conditioner is one of the best I’ve ever used – second only to Herbal Essences’ Classics conditioners. What I love about the conditioner is that it detangles my hair nicely and that it doesn’t weigh my hair down – just the way I like it. 🙂

I also noticed that these two products really help maintain the intensity of my hair colour after I’ve dyed my hair. Normally the colour bleeds quite a bit for a few washes after I’ve dyed my hair – but these two products made a huge difference! Well done, L’Oréal!

I would definitely recommend L’Oréal’s Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner to anyone with coloured hair. If you want to hold on to your hair colour for as long as possible, you really should try these two products!

The shampoo and the conditioner are available as 250ml for £2.99 and 400ml for £3.99. This is really good value. However, there’s usually at least one supermarket or drugstore chain that runs a half price or BOGOF promotion on the big bottles. So keep your eyes peeled for the best offer! 🙂

Alberto Balsam Mandarin and Papaya Shampoo and Conditioner

Hi there! Today’s post is about Alberto Balsam’s Mandarin and Papaya shampoo and conditioner. These two products are aimed at people with normal or dry hair. I’d like to think of my hair as normal, so I thought these products would be perfect for me to try. And I’m not disappointed at all. Here’s why.

The shampoo is great. It smells fresh and fruity and it cleanses my hair and my scalp nicely. The shampoo is powerful, but gentle. Great stuff! The conditioner is just as nice. It detangles my long curls without any problems and without weighing my hair down. And it makes my hair feel super soft and silky. I love it!

I think this shampoo / conditioner combo is much better than some of the branded stuff out there. It’s not as good as Herbal Essences’ originals line, but it’s definitely better than most of Garnier’s offerings.

Alberto Balsam has recently revamped its entire line. And apparently they ‘improved’ the formulas. So I will have to check what exactly they’ve changed and if the new formulas are as good as the ‘old’ ones. If they are, Alberto Balsam’s Mandarin and Papaya shampoo and conditioner will become beauty staples!

Alberto Balsam’s shampoos and conditioners are available for £1 each. The old bottles are 400ml, and the new ones are 350ml – but that’s still great value.

Alberto Balsam Mango and Passion Fruit Shampoo & Conditioner

Hi there! A couple of weeks ago I bought my first Alberto Balsam shampoo and conditioner combo in years. And I liked it so much (yes, really) that I thought I’d give the other two Superfruits combos a try too.

I’ve been using the Alberto Balsam Superfruits Mango and Passion Fruit shampoo and the matching conditioner for the past two weeks now and I’m fairly happy with these products which claim to strengthen normal or dry hair. The shampoo cleans my scalp and my hair well and it smells delicious of exotic fruits. The conditioner is good too. It detangles my hair without making it feel greasy or heavy.

I think this shampoo and conditioner combo is softer than the Mulberry and Acai Berry one, so if you’ve got dry hair, you’ll most certainly prefer the Mango and Passion Fruit set.

My husband likes this shampoo a lot too. He’s happy with how well it cleanses his hair and scalp afterthe gym. Alberto Balsam Superfruits Mango and Passion Fruit Shampoo and Conditioner are available as 400ml. They’re £1.29 each at the big supermarkets, but you can find these products for £1 in Poundstores.
