Carex Vitamin Fresh Shower Gel & Carex Nourishing Shower Cream

Hi there! I picked up two random shower products – Carex Vitamin Fresh Shower Gel and Carex Nourishing Shower Cream. These were £1 each at Boots. Now let me tell you if these shower products are any good.

Carex Vitamin Fresh Shower Gel for hair and body with vitamins A&E has a fairly random marine scent. The scent is not bad at all – it’s actually pleasant – but it’s just not very imaginative. I thought I’d end up squeezing this shower gel into the hand wash dispenser in the kitchen. However, this shower gel leaves my skin feeling amazingly clean but also hydrated, so I’m happy to continue to use it in the shower. All in all, this is a really good product!

Carex‘s Nourishing Shower Cream for dry skin has a random creamy scent – it’s pleasant enough, and it fits the colour and the formula of the product. This shower cream cleanses my skin gently. It’s not the best shower gel to use after a work-out, but it’s definitely more than just good enough for day-to-day use. It feels nice on my dry skin, and it even lets me get away with not using body lotion after a shower. Another positive surprise from Carex!

Based on my experience, I’d recommend these products. They’re much better than comparable gentle shower products from Dove and other such brands. Carex Vitamin Fresh Shower Gel and Carex Nourishing Shower Cream are available as 250ml and 500ml. I picked up these two 250ml bottles when they were on special (£1 each).

Nivea Shower Creams – Free Time & Harmony Time

Hi there! Today’s post is about Nivea‘s Free Time and Harmony Time Shower Creams. I’ve had these 2 products in my stash for quite some time, and I’ve finally gotten around to giving them a try.

Nivea Free Time smells wonderfully refreshing. The aloe and star fruit fragrance is gorgeous. I also love the formula because it’s not drying at all. Well done, Nivea!
Nivea Shower 1
Nivea Harmony Time was a nice surprise. I thought it would have a random rose scent, but it smells of sweet almond milk. It’s absolutely lovely! As expected, the shower cream formula is gentle on my dry and moody skin.

I think Nivea did a great job with these shower creams. I’ll continue to use them, and I can definitely see myself repurchasing both shower creams. Nivea Free Time and Harmony Time Shower Creams are available as 250ml each. I paid £1 each (Poundland).

Radox Brazilian Fusion and Eastern Spirit

Hi there! Today’s post is about two Radox shower gels I picked up at a bargain store – Radox Brazilian Fusion with dragonfruit and camu camu berry, and Radox Eastern Spirit with lotus flower and orange blossom.

Radox Brazilian Fusion with dragonfruit and camu camu berry is more of a shower cream than a shower gel. My dry skin loves it! But the fragrance isn’t what I expected. I thought it would smell somewhat tropical or exotic, but it’s more like an old-fashioned white flower fragrance. I do like it, but I don’t love it. And obviously this shower gel isn’t as ‘summery’ as I’d hoped.
Radox Shower 01
Radox Eastern Spirit with lotus flower and orange blossom is just as I remember it. I really like the feminine and exotic floral fragrance. It’s lovely. And just like Brazilian Fusion, Eastern Spirit is more of a shower cream than a shower gel which is very nice!

Whilst I’m not entirely sure about Eastern Spirit (aka Radox Feel Enchanted – which I spotted at my local Sainsbury’s store very recently), I’m pretty sure Brazilian Fusion has been discontinued. But I reckon quite a few bargain stores still have it. I bought both shower gels for £1 each (at my local Poundstretcher store, I believe).

Rightguard Shower + Lotion with Pomegranate & Rightguard Shower + Nutrients with Acai Berry

Hi there! Today’s post is about the two Rightguard shower creams I picked up at my local Home Bargains store a while ago – Rightguard Shower + Lotion with Pomegranate and Rightguard Shower + Nutrients with Acai Berry.

The Pomegranate shower cream feels very nice on my skin. And it really does let me skip the moisturiser every once in a while. I wouldn’t say this shower cream is nourishing – but it’s not that far off! The fragrance is a bit generic, but I’d definitely recommend this shower cream to everyone with dry skin. Seriously, try it!
Rightguard Shower
The Acai Berry shower cream feels just as nice as the pomegranate shower cream. However, the acai berry shower cream gets extra points in my book for smelling divine. I didn’t expect that because this shower cream didn’t smell that great from the bottle – but it turns into fresh berries and yoghurt heaven as soon as it hits the skin. Awesome product!

In terms of creaminess, I think these Rightguard shower creams are even better than Palmolive Naturals! If you’d like to try more Rightguard products, check out their Shower + Vitamin C (with yummy pink grapefruit) and their Shower + Oils (with pampering argan, marula and almond oil). Rightguard shower products are usually around £2 – but you can often find them for under £1 when they’re on special. 🙂

Dove Purely Pampering Almond Cream With Hibiscus, Pistachio Cream with Magnolia and Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla

Hi there! Now that it’s cold and my skin is really dry, I thought I’d treat myself to a few new shower creams. Meet Dove Purely Pampering Almond Cream with Hibiscus, Pistachio Cream with Magnolia and Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla.

Let me start with the Almond and Hibiscus shower cream which also happens to be my favourite of the three. This shower cream smells absolutely delicious – like hot chocolate with a touch of almond milk. I’ll definitely buy it again – soon!
Dove Purely Pampering Shower
I don’t care much for the Pistachio and Magnolia shower cream. The fragrance isn’t bad. It just doesn’t tickle my fancy. Well, and it started to annoy me a bit half-way through the bottle. I won’t repurchase this one.

The Shea Butter and Vanilla shower cream smells wonderful. The fragrance is sweet, warm, comforting and cuddly. It’s almost as lovely as the almond and hibiscus fragrance. I will definitely buy this one again!

I think these shower cream really work for dry skin. They can’t replace a moisturiser, but they do leave my skin feeling soft for hours. Dove Shower Creams are available as 250 ml for about £2.50 each and 500 ml for around £4 to £4.40. The big 500 ml bottles are currently half price at Tesco’s! 🙂
