100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug’s Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser. I’ve been using this product on and off since January, so it’s time for a review! 🙂 Let’s start with the basics! This cleanser claims to help revive skin’s radiance and to even out skin tone. And in addition it promises to make skin look and feel renewed, soft and ultra-clean.

And how does it work? You’re supposed to massage the cleanser into wet skin (face and neck) to dissolve make-up. Then rinse the muslin cloth in hand-hot water, wring it out, and use it to “polish off” the cleanser. And then just rinse (or splash) your face with water, and pat it dry with a towel. Now that sounds easy enough!

Like I said, I’ve been using this cleanser on and off since January. That’s because I always go back to my Olay Anti-Wrinkle cleansing products which I like bit more. However, this Superdrug cleanser is still very good because it’s quick and easy to use and it cleanses very well. And yes, it makes my skin feel clean and soft! I haven’t noticed any additional skin brightening effect that I could trace back to this cleanser, but since I only use it 1 to 3 times a week, I’m not expecting any miracles.

I would recommend this hot cloth cleanser + muslin cloth duo to everyone who wants to cleanse their face quickly and easily – and with water. I will definitely continue to use this cleanser, and I will stock up on muslin cloths because they seem to be great beauty tools!

Superdrug’s Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser is available as 150ml (+ muslin cloth) for ÂŁ5.99. I paid ÂŁ2.95 (half price offer).

Boots Botanics Skin Brightening Deep Clean Gel & Skin Brightening Toner

Hi there! I’ve previously mentioned that I’ve got drawers full of toiletries with lots of untouched stuff from ages ago. My quest to use up at least some older products before buying new ones led me to these to (g)oldies: Boots Botanic Skin Brightening Deep Clean Gel and Boots Botanics Skin Brightening Toner.

The Skin Brightening Deep Clean Gel is one of the best face washes I’ve ever had. It’s incredibly powerful at removing make-up, grease and grime; at the same time it doesn’t feel harsh at all.

I can also see that this face wash really brightens my skin. I’ve noticed that the yellow patches just above my cheek bones have disappeared within a couple of weeks. This face wash is absolutely brilliant!

The Skin Brightening Toner does a really nice job too. When I use the toner, I can feel that it does something to my face. It doesn’t burn or sting, and it also doesn’t cause redness, but I can feel that it works.

I think that this toner, in addition to the face wash, really helps brightening my skin. I use it about two to three times a week only (it’s too precious), but I can see a big difference. This toner is amazing!

Now here’s the but… Boots discontinued these products when it revamped in Botanics collection. Boots has new products which promise to brighten skin, and I will certainly try them, but no matter how good the new products are, I’ll miss these oldies when they’re gone.
