January Beauty Awards

Hi there! Today’s post is about my favourite products in January. I didn’t write many posts at all – in fact it’s been another terrible month for blog posts, but I’m glad that I got to review a few amazing products. Here are the TOP 3:

3rd place – Skin Techniques Vitamin C Eye Serum

This cheap eye serum turned out to be an amazing find! I think it’s awesome!

Skin Techniques Vitamin C Eye Serum

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Skin Techniques Vitamin C Eye Serum. This eye serum promises to repair the skin around the eyes and to improve the appearance of wrinkles and dark circles.

You’re supposed to use this product after you’ve cleansed your skin. Simply pat 1-2 drops of this eye serum around the orbital bone without pulling or stretching your skin. Then apply your regular moisturiser.

I’ve been using this eye serum for just 2 weeks now, but I like it a lot! The eye cream that I used for the past 6 (or so) months was nice, but this eye serum is much better. I love the watery formula – it’s very hydrating. The serum plays very well with my other facial products – face mist, moisturiser, make-up and so on. No issues at all!

I’ve also noticed that the skin around my eyes feels smoother. No difference in how it looks though – hey, it’s only 2 weeks. But based on the feel and the rich hydration I’m getting from this eye serum, I’m already very happy with it.

Based on my experience, I’d recommend this product. If you’re interested, Skin Techniques Vitamin C Eye Serum is available as 15ml. I paid £1.49 (B&M Bargains).

Skin Techniques Pomegranate Infused Sheet Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Skin Techniques Pomegranate Infused Sheet Mask. This mask with pomegranate and algae extracts and hyaluronic acid promises to hydrate, brighten and detoxify the skin.

Start by washing your face. Then place the mask on your face and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Massage the remaining essence into your skin, and follow with your regular skin care if you want.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I liked it. The mask was hydrating, and it left my skin looking plump and refreshed. Very nice! I couldn’t really see or feel any detoxifying effect, but I don’t mind. This mask is really nice, and I’d recommend it. I will buy it again, no doubt.

If you’re interested, Skin Techniques Pomegranate Infused Sheet Mask is available as 25ml for £1 (B&M Bargains).

Skin Techniques Charcoal Bubble Sheet Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this detoxifying and cleansing Skin Techniques Charcoal Bubble Sheet Mask. On the back it says that the bubble foam formula with charcoal removes impurities and firms pores whilst the mud hydrates the skin.

Before you use this mask, you’re supposed to cleanse your skin. Once done, simply put the mask on, leave it on for 15 minutes, then take it off and rinse your face.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I didn’t care for it. The bubble effect is minimal, and the mask had no visible effect on my skin. My skin also didn’t feel better or worse, so based on my experience I’d say that the mask did nothing.

I won’t buy this mask again, but if you’re interested, Skin Techniques Charcoal Bubble Sheet Mask is available as a 25ml single-use sheet mask for £1 (B&M Bargains).

Skin Techniques Volcanic Mud Bubble Sheet Mask

Hi there! This week’s going to be Face Mask Week, so until Sunday I’ll be reviewing face masks only. Let’s start with this Skin Techniques Volcanic Mud Bubble Sheet Mask which I found at my local B&M Bargains store.

This face mask claims that the volcanic ash cleanses and exfoliates the skin and tightens large pores, whilst the mud hydrates and revitalises the skin. You’re supposed to leave the mask on for 15 minutes, then wash your face with warm water.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it does nothing at all. The bubble effect is almost non-existent, and it looks like my pores got bigger. I mean, how is this even possible? Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this mask.

However, if you’re interested, Skin Techniques Volcanic Mud Bubble Sheet Mask is available as a single-use 25ml mask for £1 (B&M Bargains).
