Nail Of The Day – NYC In A Minute 296 Water Street Blue & Stamping With Pueen 76 / Nail Art Challenge #5 Blue Nails

upload-1Hi there! I’ve got another nail post for you today.

I’m also continuing with the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge, and today’s mani is for challenge #5 Blue Nails. Easy, eh? 😉

For this mani I painted my nails with NYC In A Minute 296 Water Street Blue (2 coats).

I used Essence’s white stamping polish to stamp on the floral images. The stamping plate I used was Pueen’s 76 plate which is part of Pueen’s Buffet Leisure collection.

I like how this mani turned out. It’s not too flashy, but it’s not too boring. It’s a nice and safe stamping mani. How do you like my nails? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – P2 Color Victim 240 Joyful & Stamping / Nail Art Challenge #3 Yellow Nails

upload-1Hi there! Today’s post is about another mani that counts towards the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge (which I’m doing as a lifetime challenge). It’s mani #3 Yellow Nails.

For this mani I painted my nails with P2 Color Victim 240 Joyful (3 coats). This polish is a bright and sunny yellow with an old-fashioned frosty finish. It’s not really a favourite.

I used my unbranded Flowers 01 stamping plate and NYC In A Minute 001 Evil to stamp on the images.

I think this mani wasn’t great, but it was OK to wear it for two days. I got a few compliments, but that was only because the shiny yellow caught peoples’ eyes.

Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Boots No.7 Devil’s Delight & Stamping With Pueen 77 / Nail Art Challenge #1 Red Nails

uploadHi there! I’m continuing with the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge, and today’s post is about Red Nails (Nail Art Challenge #1).

For this mani I painted my nails with Boots No.7 Devil’s Delight (two coats). I like the formula of this polish. It’s perfect. And the No.7 brush (wide, flat) is great too.

If you know me, you know I can’t just paint my nails and leave it at that. And I think the Nail Art Challenge is worthy of more than just plain red nails.

So I decided to stamp! I chose a cute image from Pueen’s 77 plate (which is part of Pueen’s Buffet Leisure collection). The white stamping polish is Essence’s fantastic Stampy Polish.

I’m pleased with this mani and I really like the red and white colour combination. Do you agree? Feel free to let me know what you think. Oh, and the next mani might be ‘inspired by fashion’ (I’m thinking of something…) so let’s see how it goes! And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – NYC In A Minute 027 Love Match & Stamping With Manhattan Quick Dry 60 Seconds 46K & Flowers 18 Plate

NYC Love Match Flowers 18Hi there! Today’s post is another nail post. I’ve previously mentioned that orangey colours are my least favourite nail polish colours.

However, I have lots of orange and coral nail polishes, and for some reason I keep buying them.

For this mani I painted my nails with NYC In A Minute 027 Love Match – a bright summer orange that’s fully opaque in two thin coats.

The stamping plate I chose is called Flowers 18. It’s a cheap no-name plate I found online.

I liked the green/green, blue/blue and mauve/pink manis I did recently, so I thought I’d try orange/red this time.

I chose an old untried polish, Manhattan Quick Dry 60 Seconds 46K, as my stamping polish. 46K isn’t a glamorous name, but the polish looks nice – it’s a creamy vampy red that also stamps well.

I think this mani turned out OK. The images don’t look that great on my nails, and the colour combo isn’t a favourite. But the mani looked really nice from a few feet away. 🙂 Please feel free to let me know what you think. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Astor Fashion Studio 242 Aqua Leaf & Stamping With Rimmel Salon Pro 544 Bewitch & Flowers 02 Plate

Astor Aqua Leaf StampingHi there! This is a mani from a few weeks ago. In mid-July the UK enjoyed a few really hot summer days – and I wanted a ‘cool’ mani.

I painted my nails with Astor Fashion Studio 242 Aqua Leaf (two coats). I love this fresh and cute shade.

I didn’t want my mani to be too flashy – so I went for a simple green on green look.

I chose Rimmel Salon Pro 544 Bewitch as my stamping colour. It’s dark green in the bottle, but it goes on as a pretty medium greeen when it’s stamped on.

And I used my Flowers 02 stamping plate. I have no idea who makes this plate, but many online stores sell it.

I really love how this mani turned out. It looked cool and fresh and it had a strong holiday vibe. 🙂 Do you agree? Feel free to let me know what you think. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Salon Pro 444 Seduce & Stamping With Pueen 72

Rimmel Essence Pueen StampingHi there! Today’s post is another nail of the day post. I did this mani a few weeks ago. It didn’t turn out as pretty as I had hoped. But it’s not a nail fail. 🙂

I painted my nails with Rimmel Salon Pro 444 Seduce (pinky, middle finger, index finger, thumb) and MUA White Wash (ring finger).

I wanted to stamp white on purple and purple on white. So I used Essence’s fantastic white stamping polish – and Rimmel 444 Seduce.

The exotic floral image is from Pueen’s 72 plate (from Pueen’s Stamping Buffet collection) which is one of my favourite plates.

All in all, I’m happy with the mani. Yes, it’s unfortunate that the purple polish didn’t stamp very well. However, I can look past that. 🙂 Feel free to let me know what you think and thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – NYC In A Minute 019 A Perfect Day, MakeUp Revolution True Blue, Miss Sporty Sparkle Touch 888 Glitter & Stamping With QA89

NYC A Perfect Day MUR True Blue Miss Sporty Glitter and StampingHi there! A couple of weeks ago I did a blue and grey themed mani. It didn’t turn out the way I wanted. But I thought I should still share it.

I painted my nails with MakeUp Revolution True Blue (pinky, index finger, thumb) and NYC In A Minute 019 A Perfect Day (ring finger, middle finger).

I added some glitter – namely Miss Sporty Sparkle Touch Top Coat 888 Glitter – to my ring finger. And then I started stamping. 🙂

I chose my QA89 stamping plate – which is one of the many plates I haven’t used before (that’s because the images are too small for my nails when my nails are longer).

And I stamped on different images using Essence’s amazing White Stampy Polish.

Looking closely, the mani wasn’t perfect because the crown and flower images didn’t turn out the way I wanted them to. But I have to admit that, from a distance, the mani actually looked quite nice.

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 080 Black Cab, Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique Kate, Barry M Masquerade & Stamping With JQ-L04

Rimmel Black Cab Andrea Fulerton Kate JQ-L02, Essence Stampy Polish White Barry M MasqueradeHi there! After a few recent nail fails I seem to have found my mani mojo again. 🙂 So today’s post is about a recent mani I really, really liked.

As usual, I didn’t know what to do with my nails. So I started with two base colours – Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique Kate (pinky, index finger) and Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 080 Black Cab (ring finger, middle finger, thumb).

I wanted to stamp. So I selected a few pretty images from my JQ-L04 stamping plate. And I stamped on the images with Essence’s Nail Art Stampy Polish in white.

But I also wanted some sparkle. And I opted for Barry M‘s Masquerade (gold, fuchsia and light blue glitter in a clear base).

I’m very pleased with how the mani turned out. It’s got a butterfly and floral images, glitter, purple and black & white. What’s not to love? 🙂 Please feel free to let me know what you think about this mani. And thank you for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Underwater Mani – Featuring Max Factor, Orly, Pueen & Sugar Bubbles

Marine Mani with Orly and Max FactorHi there! I’ve done a few underwater-themed manis in the past few months – and I haven’t run out of ideas for even more underwater-themed manis. So here’s another one! 🙂

I painted my nails with Max Factor Glossfinity 140 Cobalt Blue. This is a really nice polish – it’s basically opaque in one coat!

I selected images from two stamping plates – Sugar Bubbles SB 031 (pinky, ring finger) and Pueen 91 (middle and index fingers) from Pueen’s Buffet Leisure collection.

The light blue polish I used to stamp on the images is Orly Snowcone. It’s not a real stamping polish but it stamps so well that I’ll use it for stamping only from now on.

I think this mani turned out even better than I hoped. I really love it. Please feel free to tell me what you think. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Gosh 549 Holographic Hero & Stamping with Pueen 55

Gosh Holographic Hero and StampingHi there! I’ve been sporting really boring manis for the past week. Nothing worth mentioning.

And, of course, I got bored of those plain manis. So I grabbed a holo polish, Gosh 549 Holographic Hero, and my stamping kit.

I applied two coats of Holographic Hero. The polish dried quickly and was opaque in two coats. It’s not the strongest holo polish out there, but I only paid £1.99 for it, so I won’t complain.

Then I chose a stamping plate – Pueen 55 from Pueen’s Stamping Buffet. I opted for the leafy image and stamped it on with Revlon Colorstay Stiletto. I think this mani turned out alright. What do you think? 🙂
