100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug B. Comforted Camomile Facial Spritz

Hi there! Happy Friday! Today’s post is about Superdrug‘s B. Comforted Camomile Facial Spritz.

This product promises to replenish and to soften skin. It’s aimed at all skin types.

On the back of the spray it says that the product contains a blend of rose, plum, chestnut and camomile, and that it’s suitable for sensitive skin.

I use this product as the first product (that’s after I’ve washed my face in the shower) in my morning skin care routine. Five sprays of this product along with a few drops of serum or facial oil work wonders for me.

I also use the spray in conjunction with my day cream, my foundation and as part of my night time skin care routine.

And, of course, I use it in between too – basically every time I feel that my skin needs a little extra hydration or when I’m bored. 😁

Having said this, this product has a strong fragrance. It’s a strange mix of camomile and marzipan (or something else that’s simillarly sweet).

I would have loved the fragrance as a teenager, but now that I’m in my thirties, I find this kind of scent a bit annoying. Because of this, I won’t repuchase this product (I’ll buy the vitamin version instead).

Superdrug‘s B. Comforted Camomile Facial Spritz is suitable for vegans, and it’s certified cruelty-free (Leaping Bunny). It’s available as 75ml for £8.99. I paid £3.89 when Superdrug ran a Better Than Half Price promotion on B. products.

The Battle Of The Glycolic Acid Cleansing Pads – Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads VS Superdrug B. Soft Multi Acid Retexturising Pads

Hi there! Today’s post is a product comparison. Not too long ago I purchased Superdrug‘s Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads and Superdrug‘s B. Soft Multi Acid Retexturising Pads. It’s obvious these come from the same supplier, and the majority of the ingredients are identical. However, these products aren’t the same!

Superdrug‘s Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads are pretty awesome. They promise to awaken skin’s natural glow and to improve skin tone and texture.

I’m always using at least 1 brightening product, so it’s not always easy to determine which product does what. However, these cleansing pads are really something! I’m satisfied they maintained my skin’s brightness, and an improvement in my skin texture could be felt after a single use. In case you’re wondering, I used these 5 times a week (on the tub it says these can be used twice daily, but I didn’t want to over-exfoliate).

Superdrug‘s B. Soft Multi Acid Retexturising Pads do essentially the same thing. I have no doubt they work jus as well because the difference in ingredients is minimal. However, they don’t feel as powerful. I think there are 2 reasons for this:

1. the Naturally Radiant pads have a strong scent that matches the power of the product. The B. pads aren’t fragranced.
2. whilst the B. pads are moist, the Naturally Radiant pads are wet, so it feels like you’re getting more out of them.

All in all, these are great products, but the Naturally Radiant cleansing pads are the winners of The Battle Of The Glycolic Acid Cleansing Pads. I will repurchase the Naturally Radiant pads, no doubt! Superdrug‘s Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads and Superdrug‘s B. Soft Multi Acid Retexturising Pads are available in tubs with 60 pads each. They’re usually £5.99 each, but I paid £2.99 each (half price offer).

Nail Of The Day – B. Complete 154 Brit & Stamping With MoYou Sailor 06 and Pueen 91

Hi there! I have a Nail Of The Day post for you today.

For this mani I painted my nails with B. Complete 154 Brit (2 coats). This is supposed to be a long-lasting quality polish, but it’s not. Sensationally dull finish. Tip-wear in record time. I paid 10p (!) for this polish, and this is exactly what it’s worth!

Here’s what I used to stamp:
MoYou London Sailor 06 plate and MoYou London Powder Blue stamping polish (ring and middle fingers).

And Pueen 91 plate (from Pueen‘s Buffet Leisure stamping plate collection) and MoYou Cancun Coral stamping polish (pinkies, index fingers, thumbs).

Reducing My Oldies Stash – 100% Cruelty-Free – Superdrug B. B Cream Complete 6 in 1 Beauty Balm Light

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug’s B. B Cream which I picked up from the clearance shelf (£2!). I’m sure the Light shade has been discontinued, but I saw a couple of Medium B.B Creams at my local Superdrug the other day. I assume that the formula is the same for the light and medium shades, so a review might still be helpful for those who consider buying the medium bb cream.
B. B Cream 6 in 1 Beauty Balm Light
So, how’s the product? Well, this is the greasiest moisturiser I’ve ever had. The light shade isn’t much too dark for me, but this product is just too greasy. Because of this I’m using it on my dry patches only – this works well. There’s one more thing I need to mention – and that’s the product’s smell. It’s weird. Not funky or off. Just weird. I think the smell is extremely unlikeable.

All in all, I don’t like this moisturiser. It helps with my dry patches. But I wouldn’t use it anywhere else on my face. Anyhoo, have you tried this product? How do / did you like it? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for stopping by!

You Need This In Your Life – 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz

superdrug-b-hyaluronic-acid-facial-spritzHi there! I’ve been using Superdrug’s B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz for over a month now. So I think it’s time to tell you a little bit about this product.

First of all, this product is certified cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo) and it’s suitable for vegans!

I didn’t know that hyaluronic acid could be obtained from plant sources – but it appears that the humble potato is an excellent source of hyaluronic acid. So keep eating your spuds, OK?

Now let’s get away from the trivia. Superdrug’s B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz promises 12 hours of skin hydration and healthy skin with regular use. Sounds good!

In addition, the product claims to be a perfect pick-me-up for tired skin. And apparently this facial spritz is non-comedogenic, so it doesn’t clog pores. Nice!

The directions for use state that you can use this product on freshly cleansed skin, you can spray it over make-up, or you can use it “whenever your skin needs a refreshing boost”. So in summary, you can use it whenever you want. 🙂

As I said, I’ve been using this product almost every day for a month now. And I love it. I have to admit that I rarely use it right after cleansing. But I love to spray it over my make-up. Here’s why…

… I have very dry skin and I have eczema. Of course I also have semi-permanent dry patches, and there is only one foundation (Max Factor’s Pan Stik) that doesn’t highlight those dry patches. Actually, the Pan Stik conceals those dry patches perfectly! However, because of the cold and dry air in our office (I think the air con is set to permafrost…) I usually need to do some serious touching up on my make-up by lunch time – otherwise the dry patches show their ugly… scales.

But since I’ve been using this hyaluronic acid product, I don’t have to ‘redo’ my make-up during the day anymore! Two sprays in the morning after I’ve done my make-up, two sprays at lunch time, and sometimes two more sprays before I leave the office (but this depends on whether I’m doing anything exciting after work, or whether I just head home) – and that’s basically it. The only other thing I still (feel I have to) do is to go over my face with a kabuki brush every couple of hours – just to rearrange my face (that’s what my husband calls it…).

In summary, this product is amazing! It’s the best thing since I discovered konjac sponges (again, thank you Stashy and Kathy). Buy it! And buy konjac sponges! Superdrug’s B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz is available as 75ml for £7.99. However, at the moment Superdrug is running a buy one get one free promotion on selected B. skin care, so you really have to get two of these face mists (one for at home, the other one for your handbag). 😉
