100% Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Antioxidant Fruit Sorbet Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Superdrug Antioxidant Fruit Sorbet Face Mask with raspberry, cranberry and red grape.

I used to like this mask (initially I didn’t cae for it, but it grew on me after a few uses). I haven’t used it in years though (the reason is my ever growing stash of face masks).

When I saw that Superdrug gave their own-brand face mask collection a make-over, I thought it’s time to repurchase a few of the masks I used to like or love.

This peel-off mask is supposed to left on for 10-20 minutes (until it’s dry). It promises to remove dead skin cells and to leave skin with a radiant glow.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s good. I enjoyed the fruity fragrance, and I’m happy to report that the mask left my skin feeling super soft. I will definitely buy this mask again – hopefully it won’t be another couple of years!

If you’re interested, Superdrug Antioxidant Fruit Sorbet Face Mask with raspberry, cranberry and red grape is available as a ml single-use mask for 99p. I bought 3 of these masks on a 3 for 2 offer.

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Fruity Strawberry & Raspberry Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Superdrug Fruity Strawberry & Raspberry Face Mask. This is a sheet mask which is supposed to be used after cleansing. Simply leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes, then massage the leftover essence from the sachet into your skin.

This mask contains witch hazel, sodium hyaluronate, as well as a number of botanical extracts. There is no mention of who the mask is aimed at and what it’s supposed to do. Interesting!

I’ve given this mask a try, and I can report positive and negative bits. Positive – the mask felt hydrating, and it plumped up my skin. This was very ice! Negative – this is one of these ultra-thin sheet masks which are wrapped around a mask-shaped piece of plastic. This stuff is terrible for the environment, and it cancels out the vegan & cruelty-free aspect of the mask. I also didn’t care for the sickly sweet fragrance.

Based on my experience, I wouldn’t really recommend the mask. If you’re interested, Superdrug Fruity Strawberry & Raspberry Face Mask is available as a set of 3 sheet masks. I paid £1.49 (clearance, Boxing Day 2019). But I’ve seen that Superdrug still sells these masks, so if you want to give it a try, you know what to do.

100% Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Anti-Ageing Moisture Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Superdrug Anti-Ageing Moisture Mask. This face mask contains aloe vera leaf juice, a number of fruit extracts, as well as vitamin E.

This face mask promises to lock in moisture, to boost skin’s hydration levels, and to leave skin looking smoother, firmer and more radiant. This mask is easy to use. Cleanse your face, then apply the mask to your skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s lovely! 😍 This face mask kept its promises – it was deeply hydrating, and it made my face smoother. Whilst the effect was short-lived (this was expected), I was (and still am) impressed with this cheap little mask!

Superdrug Anti-Ageing Moisture Mask is available as a single-use face mask for 99p. More good news – this face mask is certified cruelty-free. It carries the Leaping Bunny logo!

Haul! New Stuff I bought since Boxing Day! 👀

Hi there! Today’s post is about most of the stuff I bought since Boxing Day. There is one gift set I have no photo of because it’s already been packed up for the house move. The gift set is a Thierry Mugler Aura fragrance set (plus mini shower gel and mini body lotion). OK, now let’s look at the goodies I was able to take photos of!

I bought plenty of face masks. Primark had a number of heavily discounted face masks (some £1, some 50p), and I bought over 20. I also picked up 3 Yes To face masks for a total of £2 (reduced to clear for £1 each and a 3 for 2 offer on top at Boots). I also found Simple face masks at Poundland, Boots and B&M Bargains. They normally retail for £2.99 each, but most of them were £1, some £1.49.

A set of mini nail files from Superdrug. The set was 10p (clearance). Bioré Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar for £1.99 at Home Bargains!

A set of 4 Charcoal Self-Heating One Minute Masks from Bioré£1.99 at Home Bargains. And a set of 3 fruity face masks from Superdrug for £1.49 (I bought 2 sets).

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Micro Polish – 3 tubes for 60p each (clearance). A set of nail files – these were 50p at Poundland (clearance bin). I use glass nail files at home, but I always carry one of those cheapo files in my handbag.

Sanctuary Spa face mask set£2.99 at Superdrug. I bought 2 sets! I have no idea if these are any good, but I thought I might give one of these sets to a friend.

Imperial Leather Narwhal Always Love You and Imperial Leather Drop It Like A Sloth shower gels. I found these at Poundland – 400ml each for £1 each. I’m looking forward to using these cute shower gels! 😍

And this is most of what I bought since Boxing Day. I did buy 5 nail polishes (all Revlon, £1 each at Poundland), but these have been packed up for the move as well.

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Pink Clay Purifying Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug‘s Pink Clay Purifying Mask.

This face mask contains mineral-enriched rosa clay. It claims to draw out impurities and to absorb excess oils, and to leave skin feeling fresher and looking brighter. This sounds promising!

This mask is easy to use – apply it to cleansed skin, leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then wash off. The usual.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I like it. Whilst it didn’t brighten skin, I’m happy to confirm that this mask gave my skin a deep cleanse.

I also liked that the mask didn’t make my skin feel uncomfortable at any point.

Superdrug‘s Pink Clay Purifying Mask is available as 15ml for 99p, but Superdrug runs a 3 for 2 promotion on face masks most of the time. This face mask is also certified cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo), and it’s suitable for vegans.

100 Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Lemon & Honey Peel-Off

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug‘s Lemon & Honey Peel-Off Mask.

This face mask is aimed at all skin types. It promises to lift away dirt, impurities and dead skin cells for softer skin.

When I gave this mask a try, I wasn’t impressed. Within seconds of applying this mask, it felt hot, almost burning, on my skin. I’ve never experienced this with any other peel-off mask. Fortunately, the burning sensation went away quickly.

Yes, the mask made my skin feel softer, and the honey & lemon lozenge scent is amazing. However, I wouldn’t buy this mask again because it gave me a major scare.

If you’d like to try it, Superdrug‘s Lemon & Honey Peel-Off Mask is available as 10ml. It’s 99p but these masks are on a 3 for 2 promo most of the time. This product is 100% cruelty-free (Leaping Bunny certified) and suitable for vegetarians.

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Charcoal Peel-Off Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug‘s Charcoal Peel-Off Mask.

This face mask, which is aimed at people with normal skin, contains charcoal and witch hazel, and it promises to give pores a deep cleanse.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think that it’s alright. I can feel that it picks up dead skin cells, and that it makes my skin feel soft for a day. However, it didn’t do much else. I think this mask isn’t powerful enough to give pores a deep cleanse.

I don’t think I’ll buy this face mask again. If you’d like to try Superdrug‘s Charcoal Peel-Off Mask, it’s 99p at Superdrug (Superdrug runs 3 for 2 promotions on their face masks quite often).

This face mask is also 100% vegan and certified cruelty-free. It carries the Leaping Bunny logo!

100% Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Detoxifying Dead Sea Mineral Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is Superdrug‘s Detoxifying Dead Sea Mineral Mask.

This face mask is suitable for vegetarians, and it’s certified cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo). Cool!

What does it do? This mask, which is aimed at people with normal to dry skin, promises to cleanse and detoxify skin for a clearer and more vibrant complexion.

Does it work? To some extent it does. I’m happy that this mask cleanses my pores, but it doesn’t give my skin that deep clean feel that it gets from almost every other mask. And I don’t think that it makes my complexion look any different, so I have to say that it doesn’t give me any visible results.

Superdrug‘s Detoxifying Dead Sea Mineral Mask is available for 99p. Superdrug runs 3 for 2 promotions on own-brand face masks almost all the time.

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Cucumber Peel-Off Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug’s Cucumber Peel-Off Mask.

This face mask with cucumber extract is suitable for all skin types, and it promises a fresh and radiant complexion.

How does it work? This mask is like every other peel-off mask. You apply it to your face, leave it alone until it has dried (which takes about 15 minutes), and then you peel it off – gently! 🙂

What’s the result? I think this mask is really nice. It left my face looking refreshed and feeling soft. I also like the mild and pleasant cucumber fragrance, and I’m happy that this mask is easy (and fun) to peel off.

Superdrug’s Cucumber Peel-Off Mask is available as 75ml for £2.59. I bought 2 tubes (2 for £4 offer). This face mask is certified cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo), and it’s suitable for vegans!

100% Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Sugar & Spice Self-Heating Mask

upload-1Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug’s Sugar & Spice Self-Heating Mask which I picked up for 99p.

This mask promises to cleanse, brighten and soften skin. Does it work?

I think this mask is just OK. It gave my skin an okayish cleanse, but it didn’t make my pores look smaller, and it didn’t brighten my skin.

It was obvious that this mask is nowhere near as powerful as all the other self-heating masks that I’ve tried.

The best thing about this mask is its sweet caramel tea fragrance. However, I wouldn’t buy a face mask for its fragrance. This means that I won’t be buying this face mask again.

Superdrug’s Sugar & Spice Self-Heating Mask is certified cruelty-free. It carries the Leaping Bunny logo.
