Empties – May 2018

Hi there! Happy Friday! It’s the 1st of June, so it’s time for my May Empties post. As always, I’ve used a number of single-use face masks. Whilst I don’t keep the empty sachets, you can read about my latest face mask finds if you click here. Now onto the ‘real’ empties!

1 Pacifica Island Vanilla Perfume – this was nice while it lasted, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again. Having said that, I believe I have 2 Island Vanilla scented perfume roll-ons in my stash…

2 Superdrug Optimum Skin Illuminating Glycolic Overnight Peel – I really liked this one. However, Superdrug sells another glycolic overnight peel that gives me the same results and that’s half the price, so I’ll stick with the cheaper product.

3 The Body Shop Early Harvest Raspberry Eau De Toilette – I’m glad this one’s finished. I wouldn’t buy it again. I have another bottle in my stash, but I’ll pass it on to my teenage relative who I hope will enjoy it more.

4 B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz – this is one of my holy grail products! 🙂

5 Olay Hydration & Cleansing 2 In 1 Cleanser & Moisturiser Duo – this is a nice cleansing milk. I will buy it again, no doubt!

6 Christina Aguilera Eau De Parfum – this is a really nice fragrance. I might buy it again.

7 Palmolive So Tempting Shower Gel – this is a lovely shower gel that reminds me of Flower by Kenzo. I am happy to buy it (the shower gel, not the perfume) again. 🙂

8 TRESemmé Colour Revitalise Vibrant Colour Protection Conditioner – this conditioner is the epitome of “average”. I am glad it’s gone.

9 Treacle Moon Warm Cookie Dough Bath & Shower Gel – this shower gel is awesome. My husband enjoyed it too, so this one’s a shared empty. I’ll buy it again, no doubt!

10 Dr. Organic Aloe Vera Shampoo (travel size) – this is a decent shampoo. I might buy it again.

11 Boots Essentials Cucumber Facial Toner – this toner is excellent. I’m happy to repurchase it.

12 Boots Extracts Sweet Mango Body Spray – Boots’ mango fragrance is simply the best. I’m glad a have a few bottles of this awesome body spray in my stash.

13 Radox Feel Exotic Shower Gel – I didn’t love this shower gel, and I won’t buy it again.

14 Classics Nail Polish Remover – this is the best nail polish remover there is for £1. I’ve gone through several bottles over the years, and I’m sure I’ll buy many more.

15 Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Smoothing Nourishing Lotion With Cocoa Butter – this body lotion is awesome! I’ll buy it again, no doubt!

This is everything I finished in May. I’m happy I managed to finish a few fragrances and skin care products – and that 900ml conditioner. 🙂 Have you tried any of these products? Which products have you emptied recently? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for reading!

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Optimum Skin Illuminating Glycolic Overnight Peel

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug’s Optimum Skin Illuminating Glycolic Overnight Peel. This product promises to refine, firm and plump the skin, to make fine lines and wrinkles appear smoother, and to enhance and improve the natural skin tone for a radiant and more youthful looking complexion.

All you have to do is apply a small amount of product to your face before you go to bed, and wash it off the next morning. I’ve been using this product at least 4 – 5 times a week since October, so let me tell you more about it. 🙂

I really like this product! The gel texture is nice and easy to use. It feels a little sticky on the face, but I’m OK with that. I also think that this glycolic peel is effective because it makes my skin look more relaxed and more refreshed. Nice!

But the big question is… is this glycolic overnight peel better than Superdrug’s other glycolic overnight peel? I would say… no! I think they’re equally good. This one looks fancier, but the other glycolic peel is a lot cheaper. So whilst I really like this product, I think I’ll continue to buy the cheaper one because it gives me the same results.

Superdrug’s Optimum Skin Illuminating Glycolic Overnight Peel is available as 30ml for £12.99. I paid £6.45 (half price offer). This product carries the Leaping Bunny logo which means that it’s cruelty-free. In addition, this product is also vegan.

Major Haul! Awesome New Products / Beauty Stuff I Bought In September And October

Hi there! I forgot to do a haul post last month, so today I’m showing you what I bought in September and October. 🙂

I bought a set of 5 SpaScriptions face masks – the set was £4.99. I also bought a set of 5 panda face masks – this set was £4.99 as well. TK Maxx

I bought a Superfacialist Rose Hydrate Mask (£4), a large 1kg Kallos Multivitamin hair mask (£7.99), and a Superfacialist Rose Hydrate Creamy Cleanser (£4). TK Maxx

I picked up 3 Superdrug items – a Salted Caramel Shower & Bath Soak (£1.47), a Glycolic Tonic (=toner) and another Glycolic Overnight Peel to replace the one I finished. The last 2 products were £5.99 each, but there was a buy 1 get 1 free offer, so I paid £5.99 in total for the 2 Naturally Radiant products.

I got a few more masks – I couldn’t resist those Hunny Bee grapefruit masks (£4.99 for a set of 5 masks), and I bought another SpaScriptions mask set (£4.99 for a set of 5 masks). TK Maxx

I found an Argan & Marula shampoo and conditioner combo (99p each) and a My Little Pony shower gel (99p). Home Bargains

I got another Superfacialist Rose Hydrate product – I bought the Day Cream (£6.99), and I picked up 2 Sanctuary Spa Being fragrances (£3.75 each). And I spent £6.99 on my Superfacialist Vitamin C + Brighten night cream. TK Maxx, Boots

The Zatik Passionfruit Cacao Lotion was £5, the Scinic Vita Ade Eye Cream was £6, and the Scinic Sparkling Pore Toner was £6 as well. TK Maxx

I bought a big It’s True Moisture Cream (£9.99), a Smack Beauty Firming Night Cream (£3), and another Hunny Bee mask set (£4.99 for 5 masks). TK Maxx

I got my hands on a Skin Care Chemist Macadamia Beauty Oil (£3), and I bought a Sukin Chia Seed Oil+ Foaming Facial Cleanser set. The set was £7.99 which is excellent value because the chia seed oil is usually £14.95 on its own! TK Maxx

And I bought 2 big jars of compressed sheet masks. These were £4.99 each. The bamboo jar contained 22 masks, the assorted jar contained 23 masks. TK Maxx

This is everything I bought in September and October. It’s quite a lot, I think. 🙂 Have you tried any of these products? Or would you like to try any of them? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!

42 New Products – Asda, Superdrug & Bargain Buys Beauty Haul

Hi there! In the past couple of months I haven’t done that much stocking up on stuff I don’t need. 😀 But I just couldn’t resist temptation (offers) the other day. I went to Asda – and found a few items I had to have. And I placed three Superdrug orders in 24 hours. And then I swung by my local Bargain Buys store… Now here’s what I bought!
NSPA at Asda
NSPA Vanilla Fragrance Body Mist (200ml), NSPA Moisturising Shea Butter (200ml), NSPA Pineapple Shower & Bath Gel (500ml) and NSPA Pineapple Fragrance Body Mist (200ml). These products were all on special and they were £2 each.
Haul 6
Dolly’s Mixtures Piña Colada Shower Gel (300ml) and Body Mist (100ml) – these were on special for 75p each! 2 Superdrug Cucumber Peel-Off Mask tubes (75ml each, there was a buy one get second half price offer – so that’s £3.98 in total for 150ml of product), Tommyguns ‘Leave me in Conditioner’ & Styling Crème (250ml) – I bought this one because it was 70p!
Haul 5
3 Superdrug Fruit Sorbet Antioxidant Peel-Off Face Masks – 49p each, 3 for 2 offer – so I paid 98p in total for 3 face masks. B. Soft Blendable Kohl Eyeliner 122 Chocolate and 100 Black – these were 90p each. B. Rich Intense Colour Lipstick 54 Eton Mess and 186 Rose Quartz. The lippies were £1.80 each. And then there’s the B. Sweet Popping Candy Highlight Serum – it was £3.
Haul 7
Superdrug Optimum PhytoBrighter Black Moisturiser and Superdrug Optimum Skin Illuminating Glycolic Overnight Peel. These products are usually £12.99 each – but thanks to a half price offer I paid £6.45 each only.
Haul 3
B. nail polishes were 30p – so I just picked a few randomly – Mulberry, Peach Melba, 3 base coats, Piglet, Minx and Sea Foam.
Haul 4
The day before Superdrug reduced the prices on their B. range dramatically (I think it’s going to be discontinued) was the last day of the 3 for 2 deal on all make-up. I didn’t want to buy anything this time, but MUA nail polishes were 50p only – so I bought 9 polishes for £3 in total. I chose these colours: Red Rose, Leapfrog, Whitewash, Fever Red, Orchid and Pitch Black. I also added two clear polishes to make the most of the 3 for 2 offer. 🙂
Haul 9
I also like to go to Bargain Buys. I always find at least one make-up item or nail polish to buy. This time I bagged 2 NYC nail polish trio packs – they were £1 each. Yes, that’s 6 polishes for £2 in total! The shades in the first set are: I Need A Dollar, Flame The Night and Lavender Cupcake. The shades in the second set are: Love Never Dies, Empire Purple and Perpetual Peony. The picture below is what the trio packs look like. So if you’ve got a Bargain Buys or Poundworld near you, you might want to swing by to check what kind of goodies they’ve got. 🙂
Haul 8
So this is it. Finally! 😀 I didn’t have to buy more skin care, I certainly didn’t need any toiletries, and I don’t even want to mention my nail polish stash (some of the polishes I bought are back-ups of what I’ve already got). But with all those great offers I just couldn’t resist! What can I say? I’m a compulsive bargain hunter! By the way, I only spent just under £44 in total for all of those 42 products – not bad at all! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate it! ♥
