Superdrug Treat Me Salted Caramel Shower & Bath Soak

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug Treat Me Salted Caramel Shower & Bath Soak.

I’ve been using this shower gel for a few days now, and I’m happy to say that I like it.

Whilst NSPA’s Caramel Fudge shower gel has set the standards for yummy caramel-scented toiletries, Superdrug’s version smells really nice too. It smells just like salted caramel!

I also like how the shower gel feels on my skin. I’m satisfied that it cleanses my skin properly, but it doesn’t feel drying at all.

Superdrug Treat Me Salted Caramel Shower & Bath Soak is available as 500ml for £2.99. I paid £1.49 (half price offer). This products is suitable for vegans, and it’s certified cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo)!

Reducing My Oldies Stash – 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Raspberry Bubblegum Shower Gel

upload-1Hi there! A few days ago I paid my local Superdrug store a visit. I was shopping for essentials (no frivolities, I promise). However, I did spend some time looking at the make-up and skin care products and sniffing shower gels and shampoos.

I also saw a cute and promising limited edition shower gel – one that I knew I had in my stash! And when I got home I made an effort to find this shower gel. And I found it! Now meet Superdrug Raspberry Bubblegum Shower Gel!

First of all, when I picked up this shower gel, all I saw was BUBBLEGUM. So I was a little surprised when I realised that it was a raspberry bubblegum fragrance.

Anyway, I tried the shower gel right away – and I think it’s OK. It does smell like raspberries and it does smell like bubblegum. It’s not a very memorable fragrance, but it is pleasant nonetheless. People who love sweet and fruity shower gels will certainly like this one!

Whilst I don’t think I’d repurchase this shower gel, I’m happy to finish my bottle. Like I said, the fragrance is pleasant after all. 🙂

If you’re interested, Superdrug’s Raspberry Bubblegum Shower Gel is a limited edition shower gel. I can’t find it online, but it was 99p for 250ml at my local Superdrug store – that was just a few days ago. This shower gel is suitable for vegans – and it’s certified cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo)!

Original Source Lime vs. Superdrug Lime & Ginger

Hi there! I know that Original Source’s Lime shower gel is a summer favourite for many people, so I thought I’d compare it with a cheaper alternative, Superdrug’s Lime & Ginger shower gel.

Superdrug does a few shower gels which seem to be similar to Original Source’s offerings, i.e. tea tree & mint and lemon & tea tree. Both lines are vegan, with Original Source’s products being approved by the Vegan Society, whilst all of Superdrug’s products are BUAV-approved and carry the Leaping Bunny logo.
Original Source vs Superdrug Lime
So, let’s start with the actual product reviews. Original Source’s Lime shower gel is a classic. It’s been around for ages and men and women love it – especially in summer – because of its cool, refreshing and zesty lime fragrance. I too love to use it in summer, either to wake me up in the morning, or to give my skin a quick detox after a long, hot day.

Superdrug’s Lime & Ginger shower gel does essentially the same – it cleanses my skin and it’s refreshing. However, its scent is not as nice. Straight from the bottle it smells quite strong and like a household cleaning product. It gets much better once it hits the skin, but I still think that the scent is quite synthetic. Because of this I’ve now squeezed the contents of the bottle into the hand wash dispenser in the kitchen. 🙂 In any event, I don’t think I would buy it again. Saying this, scents are personal preferences and the next person might love it.

To sum it up in one sentence: ***In my opinion, Original Source is the clear winner of this comparison.*** Original Source’s Lime shower gel (250 ml) is available for about £2.20, but it can usually be found for £1 somewhere. Superdrug’s Lime & Ginger shower gel (250 ml) can be yours for 99p, but most of the time there’s a 2 for £1.70 deal.
