100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Vitamin C Detox Skincare Brightening Vitamin C Tonic

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Superdrug Vitamin C Detox Skincare Brightening Vitamin C Tonic which I’ve been using since I finished Boots’ Glycolic Acid Toner some time in June (or July).

This toner with kakadu plum and goji berry promises to brighten, smooth and exfoliate the skin for a more radiant complexion.

The instructions state that you’re supposed to use this toner after you’ve cleansed your face in the evening. Use it like any other regular toner.

I’m using this toner in the morning – within minutes after coming out of the shower. I’m also working from home, so there is no risk of me getting a sunburn.

How’s the toner? It’s excellent! One of my favourite skin care products this year – but not just for this year. It has brightened my skin so much, it’s insane! No spots, no dry patches – just bright and beautiful skin! This toner is almost finished, but I will repurchase it very soon. This toner is a new beauty staple!

Superdrug Vitamin C Detox Skincare Brightening Vitamin C Tonic is available as 100ml for £4.99. I bought this and another product from this collection on a special Buy 1 Get 2nd Half Price offer.

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Vitamin C Detox Skincare Revitalising Jam Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Superdrug Vitamin C Detox Skincare Revitalising Jam Face Mask. This face mask contains sugar, orange peel, goji berry and kakadu plum, and it promises to exfoliate, to purify and to brighten the skin.

How does it work? Superdrug recommends you apply a thin layer to your face. Leave the mask on for 5-10 minutes, then splash some water onto your skin and massage the product all over your face in circular motions.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s fun to use! It’s really sticky – like jam indeed. It has a bit of a warming effect which I found unusual but not bad at all. The sugar can be seen and felt – it acts as an exfoliant – not when you apply the mask, but once you massage the product all over your face before you wash it off.

I’m not sure if the mask has an actual brightening effect, but based on my experience, I would recommend it. If you’re interested, Superdrug Vitamin C Detox Skincare Revitalising Jam Face Mask is available as 75ml for £4.99. I bought it alongside another product from the same product range when Superdrug ran a Buy 1 Get 2nd Half Price promotion. Also, this product is vegan and certified cruelty-free. It carries the Leaping Bunny! 😍

Empties – July 2020

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I emptied in July. If you read my blog regularly, you know I don’t take photos of empty face mask sachets, but rest assured that I used lots of face masks last month! If you want to read about my latest face mask finds, click here! Now let’s get to the big bottles…

1 Palmolive Aroma Moments So Relaxed Aromatic Bath Foam (no photo) – one of my favourite bath products! Sorry, I have no photo. My husband was the one who finished the bath foam, and he binned the empty bottle.

2 Spa Premium Epsom Salts (no photo) – I enjoyed these bath salts, and I want to pick them up again next time I swing by my local Poundstretcher. Sorry there’s no photo. My husband finished these bath salts, and, of course, he doesn’t keep empty packs or bottles around. And no, he also doesn’t know that I photograph my trash! 😁

3 Herbal Essences Bio Renew White Grapefruit & Mint Volume Shampoo & Conditioner – not a bad conditioner, but not good enough for me to buy it again.

4 Body-X Twilight Amber – I liked this shower gel a lot, and I’d like to buy it again.

5 Imperial Leather Drop It Like A Sloth – a nice shower gel. The scent is a bit too masculine for my taste, but I think I’ll pick it up again for my husband.

6 Superdrug Vitamin C Detox Skincare Refreshing Cleansing Pads – these were lovely, and I’l repurchase them, no doubt!

7 Color Club Nail Polish – not sure about the name of the shade. This was 1 of the 6 polishes from their Bridal Collection set. I used this polish as a base coat. I think I emptied one of these before, so I have 4 more… In any event, I wouldn’t buy any of these non-colours again.

8 Barry M Base Coat Top Coat Nail Hardener – I think this is an OK clear polish for all sorts of purposes. I don’t think I’ll buy it again (unless it’s an emergency purchase).

9 I Love… Raspberry & Blackberry Shower & Bath Crème – This is I Love…’s best fragrance. I have several bottles (250ml and 500ml) of this amazing shower gel in my stash.

10 Radox Scent Touch Feel Fresh – I won’t buy this shower gel again. It smells too masculine for my taste.

11 Baylis & Harding Skin Spa Rose, Ylang Ylang & Patchouli Hand Lotion – it took me ages to finish this hand lotion – and most of it was actually used as a foot lotion. But it doesn’t matter. I DID IT! With my husband’s help. So this is a shared empty.

July wasn’t the greatest month for empties, but August should be better. I know I’ll finish a shower gel, a fragrance, a toner, a serum and a face mist well before the end of this week.

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Vitamin C Detox Skincare Refreshing Cleansing Pads

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug‘s Vitamin C Detox Skin Care Refreshing Cleansing Pads with goji berry and kakadu plum extracts. These pads promise to cleanse skin and to remove impurities, excess oil and makeup – including mascara.

They also claim to leave skin feeling softer, smoother and visibly brighter. I’ve been using these pads on and off for over a month now, and here’s what I think!

I’m enjoying these cleansing pads very much! I use them instead of a toner, and I’m happy to report that they’re effective at removing all sorts of gunk, and that they’re gentle enough to be used around the eyes (which was expected since they claim to remove mascara).

These pads aren’t as powerful as Superdrug’s Glycolic Acid Pads, but these pads are perfect if you have sensitive or delicate skin that doesn’t tolerate AHAs, BHAs and the likes, or if you want an all-in-one pad that you can use around your eyes.

Superdrug‘s Vitamin C Detox Skin Care Refreshing Cleansing Pads (which are vegan and certified cruelty-free) are available for £4.99 (for 60 pads), and most of the time there’s also a Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price offer on Superdrug’s Vitamin C products!
