Empties – August 2021

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I finished in August. I went through a lot of single-use face masks, and you can click here if you’d like to check out my latest face mask finds. Now let’s take a closer look at the big bottles, tubes and tubs!

1 Pacifica Hawaiian Ruby Guava Body Wash – this is a really nice shower gel. It smells sweet and warm, and the formula is very cleansing but also gentle on the skin. Nice one!

2 Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Smoothing All Over Body Cream With Acacia Collagen – I love this body cream. A definite repurchase!

3 Maui Moisture Strength & Anti-Breakage Agave Conditioner For Chemically Damaged Hair – not a terrible conditioner, but the not the most suitable one for my hair type. I won’t buy it again.

4 Radox Mineral Therapy Sleep Aromatherapy Bath Salts With Lavender & Ylang Ylang – these are wonderful bath salts! A definite repurchase!

5 Agent Provocateur Fatale Pink Eau De Parfum – a major disappointment. This stuff isn’t worth anyone’s time or money.

6 M&S The Fragrance Collection Vanilla & Woods Eau De Toilette – I LOVE this fragrance. It’s a modern classic. Feminine and cuddly. An ageless beauty. You wouldn’t believe it considering the ridiculously low price, but this fragrance is simply fabulous.

7 Superdrug Calm Skin Skincare De-Stress Refreshing Facial Spritz – I love this face mist. Too bad it has been discontinued, otherwise I’d pick it up again!

8 Palmolive Aroma Therapy Morning Tonic – I love this shower gel. Why did Palmolive discontinue this beauty? Fortunately, I have one more bottle in my stash.

9 Palmolive Aroma Therapy Sensual – same as above! 😢

10 Sanctuary Spa Ultra Rich Wet Skin Moisture Miracle – this is a really nice in-shower moisturiser, and I can see myself buying it again.

11 Poundland #6 Anti-Ageing Eye Cream – this £1 eye cream is much better than its price suggests. A very likely repurchase.

12 Superdrug Layering Lab Blossom Body Mist (x2) – this is the perfect dupe for Thierry Mugler’s Alien – but this body mist is actually better considering that it wraps you in a nice fragrance cloud (which L’Oréal’s watered-down version of Alien can’t do anymore). I have at least 2 more bottles in my stash, and I will continue to buy this body mist.

13 Poundland #6 Anti-Ageing Retinol Night Cream – a very good night cream! I might buy it again!

14 Poundland Anti-Ageing Retinol Day Cream With SPF 25 – same as above! 👌

I’m happy with the amount of products I finished in August. I don’t think September will be a great month for empties since I finished a lot of skin care in August already, but let’s see how it goes. Have you tried any of these products or would you like to try any of them? What have you finished recently? Feel free to comment, and thanks for reading!

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Smoothing All Over Body Cream With Acacia Collagen

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Smoothing All Over Body Cream With Acacia Collagen. This body cream is aimed at people with mature or dry skin, and it promises to replenish and to hydrate the skin. Sounds great! What else sounds great? This product is certified cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo), and it’s suitable for vegans! 😍 Onto the review!

I’ve been using this body cream for about 4 weeks now, and I love it! The formula is amazing – it’s very hydrating, but it feels so light and the cream is absorbed in no time. It makes my skin feel amazing, and it’s perfect for warmer summer days! The fragrance is outstanding too. It’s sweet, floral, powdery and dreamy – it reminds me a bit of Superdrug’s limited edition moonstone extract body cream from 2019.

All in all, this is a great body cream! Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Smoothing All Over Body Cream With Acacia Collagen is available as 300ml for £4.99. I bought it (and another body cream) when Superdrug ran a Buy 1 Get 2nd Half Price promotion.

HAUL! New Products From No 7, M&S, Boots, Superdrug, Herbal Essences, Radox, Imperial Leather, Garnier & More

Hi there! Today’s post is about the majority of the products I bought before Christmas (or so). I’m saying majority because I didn’t take photos of everything I bought, and there’s some stuff I know I’ll only remember after posting. Without further ado, here’s the stuff:

Boots No7 Skincare Stars The Star Of The Show – this incredible set has products worth £149, but it was £39 for a few days in the run-up to Christmas.

Marks & Spencer Discover Spiced Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Soft Iris – these fragrances are vegan and certified cruelty-free. The set was £6.65 (30% off offer), but even the full price of £9.50 is a total steal for 3 x 30ml. I already reviewed this set.

M&S Discover Water Jasmine, Fresh Lychee, White Coconut – I’ll review this set soon. Same price and amount as above, and all these fragrances are vegan and certified cruelty-free as well!

Radox Perky Peach, Radox Mint To Be – I’m looking forward to trying these shower gels, although I made a mistake with the minty one. I ignored the name and the mint leaves, and I somehow assumed it would be a lime scent… 🤦‍♀️ These 400ml shower gels were about £1.30 each.

Imperial Leather Wild Thing, Imperial Leather Shake Your Bambootay – these 2 cute 250ml shower gels were 99p each. I’ve been using them for almost 2 weeks now, and the review will be up tomorrow!

Herbal Essences Bio Renew Micellar Water & Blue Ginger Shampoo & Blue Ginger Conditioner – these are in use too, and the review will be up on Friday! Oh, and these were £3 each!

I also bought plenty of face masks – but they were too many to list. I’ve already tried and reviewed some of them!

Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Shower Cream, Boots Live+Be Beautiful Connection Bath Soak – I bought these and lots of other Live+Be products as it looks like the entire range is going to be discontinued. Really sad (and typical because I just discovered these last month). I already reviewed the 2 products above.

Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Lavender – I bought this when Superdrug ran a Buy 1 Get 2nd Half Price promotion. They’re usually £4.99. I already reviewed this body cream.

Superdrug Vitamin Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Acacia Collagen (also £4.99) was the other product I got with the Buy 1 Get 2nd Half Price deal.

I bought 2 Superdrug Vitamin E Moisturising Shower Creams. I’ve never seen these before but it was time Superdrug finally made a shower gel with their iconic Vitamin E fragrance. These were £1.20 each (Better Than Half Price offer). Garnier Body’s Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion With Shea Butter was a repurchase. This is a big 400ml, and it was £2.49 (B&M Bargains).

Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Hibiscus Extract was on a Save 1/3 offer. It’s usually £4.49 for a 465ml, but I paid £2.99.

And lastly, Boots Ingredients Glycolic Acid Toner, Boots Ingredients Niacinamide Serum and Boots Vitamin C Brightening Cleansing Gel. The first 2 products were £5, the cleanser was £4 but was actually free (3 for 2 offer).

The No 7 set was a bit more expensive (it wasn’t if you consider the actual value of the products in it), everything else was rather cheap! Have you tried any of these items? Would you like to try any of them? What have you bought recently? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for stopping by! 😘

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Lavender

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Lavender. This body cream is meant to be used before bedtime as it promises to hydrate your skin while you sleep.

In addition to vitamin E and lavender, it also contains shea butter, lactic acid (!), retinyl palmitate (!), and horse chestnut extract. This body cream is certified cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo), and it’s suitable for vegans.

I’ve been using this body cream on and off for almost 3 weeks now, and I think it’s very good. It’s richer than the “regular” vitamin E body cream, and feels like it’s sitting on the skin for a bit before it’s absorbed. Based on this, I’d agree that this body cream is more suitable for use before bedtime, especially during the colder months.

The lavender scent is quite strong, so you should like or love lavender, otherwise you won’t get much joy from this body cream. Luckily, I love lavender, so I’m very happy with my purchase!

If you’re interested, Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Lavender is available as 300ml for £4.99. I bought it (and another body cream from this range) when Superdrug ran a Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price promotion in December.

Empties – November 2019

Hi there! November is behind us, and today’s post is about my November 2019 beauty trash. 🙂 I used quite a few single-use face masks. I didn’t keep the empty sachets, but if you’d like to read about my latest face mask finds, click here. Onto the big empties!

1 Boots Botanics All Bright Cleansing Foam Wash – I enjoyed this face wash, and I’d like to buy it again (once I’m at least halfway through my face wash stash).

2 Imperial Leather Relaxing Orchid & Ylang Ylang Infusions Bath Cream – this a lovely bath cream that I will buy again.

3 Jennifer Lopez Glow EdT – whilst I’m not a fan of the singer/actress J Lo, I’m enjoying quite a few of her fragrances. I can definitely see myself buying a big 100ml bottle of Glow again!

4 Max Factor Pan Stik 25 Fair – my holy grail foundation! And this is the original Pan Stik – not the stuff they sell now…

5 Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Moonstone Extract – this is a lovely body cream. It’s a limited edition, but I have one more tub!

6 Nourish Protect Cooling Toning Mist – this is a very good face mist. I enjoyed using it! I’ll buy it again if it’s on special.

7 Good Things Spa Manuka Honey Nourishing Body Wash – another amazing body wash that I’d like to pick up again!

8 Boots Time Delay Deep Cleansing Facial Exfoliator – this stuff was good but not great. It’s been discontinued now, but I wouldn’t have repurchased it anyway.

9 Maybelline Black Eyeliner – this is a very good eyeliner. It may have been the last of the bunch or I might have a few more (I used to buy these in bulk). I’d buy these eyeliners again.

10 Boots No 7 Devil’s Delight Nail Polish – this is a good quality polish. I might have a backup (from one of the countless half price Christmas gift sets I bought over the past few years). Anyhoo… I’m happy to have finished another colour polish!

11 Boots Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day Cream SPF15 – this day cream was very nice. I’m sure I’ll buy it again!

12 L’Oréal Elvive Dream Lengths Detangling Conditioner – a very unspectacular conditioner. Repurchase? Nope!

13 Imperial Leather Moroccan Spa Orange Blossom & Argan Oil Spa Escape Bath Cream – another amazing bath cream that I’ll buy again soon!

14 Yves Rocher Les Plaisirs Nature Organic Vanilla Silky Lotion – I enjoyed this silky lotion very much. I have 2 more bottles (old and new packaging).

I’m pleased with what I finished last month – I like to finish big bottles as well as small items like nail polish and eyeliner. I think I’ve done well again! Which products have you finished lately? Feel free to get in touch via the comments, and thanks for reading! 😊

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Moonstone Extract

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug‘s Vitamin E All Over Body Cream With Moonstone Extract. This is a limited charity edition (just like this one), and 15% of the price of the product will go to Marie Curie. This is awesome!

About the product itself… this is a body moisturiser that’s aimed at people with normal to dry skin. It contains a number of vitamins – E, A, B5, F and H, as well as coconut oil, horse chestnut extract, and moonstone extract.

I’ve been using this moisturiser for about 2 weeks now, and I’m blown away! The formula is something between Superdrug’s light Vitamin E moisturiser and a body butter. It has the best of both worlds – proper hydration, no stickiness. This makes it very suitable for all seasons, even for warm-to-hot summer days. 😍

The fragrance is very lovely too. I can’t describe it properly, but it’s a mix of pearls, powder and a hint of poppies. It’s gorgeous!

I’m very happy with this moisturiser, and I’d recommend it! Superdrug‘s Vitamin E All Over Body Cream With Moonstone Extract is suitable for vegans and certified cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo). It’s available as 465ml for £3.49. Superdrug runs Buy 1 Get 2nd Half Price promotions on their Vitamin E stuff most of the time – and that’s why I picked up 2 tubs for £5.24. 😊

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Dragon Fruit

Hi there! A few week’s ago I picked up Superdrug’s Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Dragon Fruit. I’ve tried a few different products from this collection – and I liked all of them. So how could I not give this one a try? 😉

This body cream is aimed at people with normal to dry skin. It promises to hydrate the skin and to defend it from environmental damage. This body cream contains a number of vitamins – E, A, B5, F and H – and coconut oil!

I’ve been using this body cream for a few days now, and I think it’s awesome! It’s easily absorbed, and it’s 100% non-sticky which makes it the perfect body cream for workday mornings (or whenever you’re in a hurry). I also believe that this body cream would be perfect for those warm summer days when you just can’t deal with heavy moisturisers. What else? I love the gorgeous fragrance – it’s warm, exotic and feminine. Yes, feminine. Not girly.

Superdrug’s Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Dragon Fruit is available as 475ml (the tub is huge!) for £2.99. 15% of the price of the product will go to Marie Curie – awesome stuff! This product is also 100% vegan and cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo).

Empties – December 2017

Hi there! Happy New Year, everyone! My first post in 2018 is about all the products I emptied in December 2017. If you read my empties posts regularly, you know that, every month, I use a number of single-use face masks and that I don’t keep the empty sachets. If you want to read about my latest face mask finds, click here. Now… onto the tubs, tubes and bottles… the big empties… the real empties!

1 Olay Total Effects 7 In 1 Day Moisturiser – this is a fantastic moisturiser. I will buy it again, no doubt!

2 NYC In A Minute 202 Grand Central Station – this is one of the best clear polishes. I emptied one last month, and I emptied one this month. I’m really getting on top of my part-used clear polishes!

3 Max Factor Pan Stik 25 Fair – my holy grail foundation!

4 The Body Shop Vanilla Eau De Toilette – I loved the original TBS Vanilla, but this stuff is just average. I do have a few more bottles in various states of empty. I hope my teenage relative or someone at work wants them…

5 Palmolive Aroma Moments Feel Good – this shower gel is wonderful. Happy to buy it again!

6 Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream – this is a lovely moisturiser. It smells divine and it’s not sticky at all which makes it the perfect moisturiser for whenever you need to get ready in a hurry. Plus: This is a huge 475ml tub which is £2.99 only – and there’s usually a buy 1 get 2nd half price offer on SD Vitamin E products as well! 🙂

7 Gliss Ultimate Colour Conditioner – this is a good conditioner. I’ll buy it (+ the matching shampoo) again.

8 Radox Uplifting – this is a wonderful grapefruit shower gel. I will buy it again!

9 Classics Nail Polish Remover – 400ml for £1. Awesome stuff! I have a few more bottles, and I’ll continue to stock up on this nail polish remover.

10 Garnier Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion With Shea Butter – this is a lovely body lotion. It’s nourishing and it smells gorgeous. Happy to buy it again!

11 Manhattan Colour Loop Lipgloss 52S Soft Nude – this lip gloss was awesome. I’ve got a few more of these glosses (different colours), and I’ll review them soon!

12 My Little Pony Rainbow Dash Shower Gel – this travel-sized shower gel was part of a gift set. The shower gel was nice, and I’m sure I’ll buy MLP branded toiletries again soon!

13 Boots Essentials Cucumber Facial Scrub – this scrub was really good. I’ll buy it again!

This is what I emptied in December. I was hoping I’d be finishing a few more products, but it wasn’t meant to be. Ah well, so I have a few more empties this month. 🙂

One more thing… I finished 191 products in 2017. Those 191 products are…
41 shower and bath gels,
31 body and hand moisturisers,
22 fragrances (fragranced body mists included),
16 conditioners and deep conditioners (I don’t count shampoos – I’ve explained this here),
16 nail polishes,
11 face creams and lotions,
6 face serums,
6 face washes and cleansers,
5 Max Factor Pan Stiks
4 body scrubs,
4 face scrubs,
4 toners,
4 foot creams,
4 nail polish removers,
4 lip balms and lip glosses,
4 eyeliner pencils,
3 B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritzes,
2 eye creams,
2 glycolic peels,
2 face mask tubes (I didn’t count single-use face masks).
Not bad, eh?

Anyway… Happy New Year, everyone! 🙂

July Beauty Awards

Hi there! It’s the last day of the month, so it’s time for my monthly favourites post. I’ve chosen my top 3 products from all the products I’ve reviewed this month, and I have a few honourable mentions as well. Let’s start with the top 3!

3rd place – Claire’s Meringue Flavoured Lip Balm

This lip balm isn’t really meringue-flavoured, but I still love it. The random sweet flavour is pleasant, and I cannot enough of these cute meringue faces.

Runner-Up – Radox Revive & Radox Uplifting

Radox’s Revive and Uplifting shower gels share the silver medal. These shower gels are perfect for warm summer mornings. They’re awesome!

WINNER – Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream

Superdrug’s Vitamin E All Over Body Cream is one of the best moisturisers I’ve ever had. 11 stars!

Now onto the honourable mentions! I liked quite a few masks this month! Montagne Jeunesse’s Berry Sorbet Peel Off and Blueberry Blast Mud Masque were very good. Superdrug’s Argan Oil Clay Mask was really good too. And I think Boots Ingredients Energising & Revitalising Sheet Face Mask With Rooibos was just awesome.

Have you tried any of these products? If so, how do / did you like them? Which products did you like best this month? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!
