February Beauty Awards

Hi there! It’s the last day of the month, so it’s time for my Monthly Favourites post – a.k.a. Mrs Strawberry Blonde’s February Beauty Awards. As always, I’ve picked my top 3 from all the products I’ve reviewed this month. And, of course, there are a few honourable mentions as well. 🙂

3rd place – The Crème Shop Rose Oil Depuffing & Anti-Inflammatory Overnight Gel Mask

I’m very impressed with The Crème Shop’s Rose Oil Overnight Gel Mask. This product makes my skin look great, and it’s also fun to use. Recommended!

Runner-Up – The Crème Shop Holiday Cheer And Clear “Naughty” Clarifying Face Mask

This Clarifying Face Mask from The Crème Shop is simply amazing. It reduces redness significantly, it calms down angry skin, it shrinks pores, and it’s deeply hydrating. What’s not to love?!

WINNER – Boots Botanics All Bright Gentle Cleansing Cream & Cleansing Toner

Boots did a fantastic job with these All Bright facial cleansing products. I saw a huge difference after 2 weeks of using the cleanser and the toner. These products are outstanding. 11 stars!

Onto the honourable mentions! I loved The Crème Shop’s Last Christmas “Nice” Forever Young Face Mask and Primark’s PS… Deep Cleansing Bubble Mask With Blueberry.

But I was also impressed with a couple of body care items. Baylis & Harding’s Beauticology Pink Grapefruit & Raspberry products (especially the body butter) are really lovely, Superdrug’s Cherry & Macadamia Body Scrub is fantastic, and Treacle Moon’s Happy Melon Sorbet is one of the best shower gels I’ve ever used. It’s… wow!

Which products have you been loving lately? Have you tried any of these products or would you like to try any of them? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for reading!

The Crème Shop Depuffing & Anti-Inflammatory Rose Oil Overnight Gel Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about my current night cream – The Crème Shop‘s Depuffing & Anti-Inflammatory Rose Oil Overnight Gel Mask which promises skin that feels silky and that looks well-rested and bright.

This product is easy to use – use it like a normal night cream. By the way, I’ve checked the ingredients, and I found that this poduct contains macadamia oil – great stuff! And now that I’ve been using this product for a few weeks now, here’s what I think!

I think this is a great product! I love the gel formula. It feels refreshing, it absorbs quickly, and whilst it feels hydrating, it doesn’t feel sticky at all. In addition, I’m happy to confirm that my skin feels soft and looks well-rested and bright in the morning. Since I have very dry skin, I generally prefer richer night creams. However, this overnight gel mask does everything I need it to do, and I am very happy with it!

I’ve previously used one of The Crème Shop’s Overnight Gel Masks – the Charcoal version, and I was happy with that one too. This rose version is more hydrating, and I would consider it most suitable for people with normal to dry skin, whilst the charcoal version is best suited for people with normal to oily skin. Either way, I would recommend both products because they do what they promise to do, and they’re awesome fun! 🙂

The Crème Shop’s Depuffing & Anti-Inflammatory Rose Oil Overnight Gel Mask is available as 50ml. I paid £4.99 (TK Maxx).

June Beauty Awards

Hi there! Welcome to the June Beauty Awards – a.k.a. my monthly favourites post. 🙂 I’ve chosen my top 3 from all the products I’ve reviewed this month. And there are a few honourable mentions as well. Let’s start with the top 3!

3rd place – The Crème Shop Charcoal Overnight Gel Mask

The Crème Shop’s Charcoal Overnight Gel Mask is awesome fun. I’m really enjoying the product, and I can’t wait to try The Crème Shop’s Rose and Collagen gel masks.

Runner-Up – Imperial Leather Foamy Banana Shower Cream, Bath Cream, Hand Wash

Imperial Leather’s Foamy Banana products are simply sensational. I love the shower gel, the bath cream and the hand wash. Awesome stuff!

WINNER – Superdrug Calm Skin De-Stress Refreshing Facial Spritz

Superdrug did an amazing job with this facial spritz. I have very dry skin and I suffer from occasional bouts of eczema, but my my skin is also quite moody, and it’s prone to impurities.

This facial spray helps me because, thanks to its high glycerin content, it helps lock in moisture which allows me to stay on top of my eczema patches.

My skin hasn’t been moody for a few weeks, so I’m satisfied that this spray soothes my skin. On top of that, I’ve noticed that blemishes come and go faster than usual. I’m used to dealing with blemishes for weeks at a time. Seeing them heal within a few days is a very welcome change!

Onto the honourable mentions! The Crème Shop’s Charcoal Face Mask is really good. I’m enjoying my pack of 5 charcoal face masks very much.

Superdrug’s Charcoal Whitening Toothpaste is my new favourite toothpaste. I love it, and hope it won’t be discontinued!

MUA Luxe Utopia 10 Shade Eye Palette is one of my favourite products this month. This is a quality palette – and it was dirt cheap!

Have you tried any of these products? Would you like to try any of these products? Which products do / did you love the most this month? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by!

The Crème Shop Detoxing & Renewing Overnight Gel Mask With Charcoal

Hi there! Today’s post is about The Crème Shop‘s Detoxing & Renewing Overnight Gel Mask with Charcoal. The product promises to detox troubled or sensitive skin so that you can wake up with renewed and purified skin – even after a short night.

How does it work? On the back of the box it says… massage an even layer into your skin – right before bedtime. Focus on dry areas, and leave the product to do its magic overnight. And wake up to hydrated and brighter skin.

I really like the idea of an overnight gel mask. However, it’s just a fancy name for a night cream. 😉 Having said that, I love the gel formula! It’s awesome fun! I’m also satisfied that this product moisturises my skin without greasing it up, and that it helps maintain my skin’s brightness. Another thing I need to mention is the soapy fragrance – it’s clean and pleasant. Nice!

All in all, I think this is a nice and fun product, and I would recommend it to everyone who enjoys a good skin care product at a reasonable price. The Crème Shop‘s Detoxing & Renewing Overnight Gel Mask with Charcoal is available as 50ml for £4.99 (TK Maxx).
