The Crème Shop Calm Down, Skin! Animated Animal Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about a very cute looking product – The Crème Shop’s Calm Down, Skin! Animated Animal Face Mask. This sheet mask contains pink grapefruit, and it promises to soothe the skin.

This masks works like almost any other sheet mask out there – wash your face, enjoy the mask for 15-20 minutes, then treat your skin to a massage using the leftover essence from the sachet.

I’ve given this mask a try, but I haven’t found it to be soothing. I do think this is a good mask, but it does the opposite of what it claims to do. This mask feels more like an oil-absorbing and pimple-busting anti-breakout mask.

The mask itself didn’t look as cute as expected, and the eyes were a little creepy. However, the mask was a good fit for my face.

I’m not unhappy with these masks at all. However, I would have preferred it if they hadn’t been labelled as soothing when they do the opposite. If you’re interested, The Crème Shop’s Calm Down, Skin! Animated Animal Face Mask is available as a pack of 3 sheet masks. I paid £4 (TK Maxx).

The Crème Shop Maca Root Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this The Crème Shop Maca Root Face Mask. On the back of the sachet it reads that maca root is a skin super food that’s rich in vitamins, minerals and amino acids. And the mask claims to promote revitalised skin and more skin strength, energy and glow.

This mask is easy to use – cleanse your skin, place the mask on your face, leave it on for 10-15 minutes, then take it off and massage the remaining essence into your skin.

I think this is a great little face mask. It feels deeply hydrating without being greasy or sticky, it has a subtle soapy fragrance, and it feels refreshing and energising. I would also agree that this mask has a plumping effect and that it makes my skin look a little glowy. Based on my experience, I would recommend this face mask!

The Crème Shop Maca Root Face Mask is available as a pack of 5 face masks. I paid £4.99 (TK Maxx).

The Crème Shop Pumpkin Spice Fusion Sheet Mask

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing this The Crème Shop Pumpkin Spice Fusion Sheet Mask with pumpkin and cinnamon. According to The Crème Shop, pumpkin enzymes help boost skin cell renewal to reveal a rejuvenated and brighter complexion, and cinnamon absorbs excess sebum.

This is a sheet mask which is supposed to be left on for 15-20 minutes. I always leave sheet masks on until they’re dry to make the most of the product. 😎

I’ve now used 3 of these masks already, and I think they’re fantastic. I would agree that these masks make my skin look brighter, clearer and more refreshed. At the same time I’ve also noticed a calming and smoothing (!) effect. I’m enjoying these masks very much, and I would recommend them.

If you’re looking for a product that has a calming effect on moody skin, or if you want a product that gives you a brighter and fresher complexion, these sheet masks are for you! The Crème Shop Pumpkin Spice Fusion Sheet Mask is available as a pack of 5 masks. I paid £4.99 (TK Maxx).

The Crème Shop Last Christmas “Naughty” Energy Boost Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about The Crème Shop‘s Last Christmas “Naughty” Energy Boost Face Mask which is aimed at people who skimp on sleep, forget about SPF and rub and scrub their skin. This face mask promises to invigorate skin and to improve skin resilience and suppleness.

This mask works like almost any other sheet mask – place it on your cleansed face, leave it alone for 15 minutes (I leave sheet masks on until they’re dry), then massage the remaining essence into your skin. I’ve given this mask a try, and here’s what I think.

I think this mask is fantastic. It feels hydrating without being greasy, it feels refreshing without any dodgy cooling effect, and it appeared to plump up my skin. So yeah, it delivered on its promise! A look at the back of the mask reveals that it’s bursting with botanical extracts – which is impressive!

I like this mask a lot, and I’m glad I dug it up from the clearance section! The Crème Shop’s Last Christmas “Naughty” Energy Boost Face Mask is available as part of a set containing 3 Naughty and 3 Nice face masks – that’s 6 masks in total. I paid £5.99 for the set (TK Maxx Clearance).

The Crème Shop Last Christmas “Nice” Forever Young Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about The Crème Shop‘s Last Christmas “Nice” Forever Young Face Mask. This face mask promises to smooth out wrinkles, to restore skin vitality, and to repair worn skin. It contains sodium hyaluronate (which is listed as the 4th ingredient) and a number of botanical extracts.

I think this is a great mask! It feels deeply hydrating, and I am happy to confirm that it reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. I guess that’s because of the hydration boost! Whatever it is, I am impressed! Another great thing is that the mask smells like baby powder which is just lovely! 😊

I would definitely recommend this face mask! The Crème Shop‘s Last Christmas “Nice” Forever Young Face Mask is available as part of The Crème Shop’s Last Christmas face mask set (3 Naughty and 3 Nice face masks). I paid £5.99 for the set (TK Maxx, clearance).

The Crème Shop Turmeric Face Mask

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing The Crème Shop‘s Turmeric Face Mask. This sheet mask promises to help correct skin discolouration, to soothe acne, eczema and dry skin, as well as to combat wrinkles and age spots.

Using the mask is easy – just place it on your face, leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then massage the excess serum into your skin. I always leave sheet masks on until they’re dry. And then I pop a compressed sheet mask into the sachet with the excess serum – this way I can enjoy a second sheet mask the next day!

This sheet mask is simply unbelievable. It really helps with discolourations. Using this mask on 2 consecutive days has not only brightened my skin tone, it also completely eradicated the remains of the dark patches that started to form on my face last summer. I’ve also noticed that my skin looks calmer and considerably less moody. In summary, these masks are some of the best I’ve ever used. If you come across them, you should pick them up. You won’t regret it!

The Crème Shop‘s Turmeric Face Mask is available as a set of 5 sheet masks. I paid £4.99 (TK Maxx).

May Beauty Awards

Hi there! It’s the last day of the month, so it’s time for my Monthly Favourites post, a.k.a. Mrs Strawberry Blonde’s May Beauty Awards. 😜 As always, I’ve chosen my TOP 3 from all the products I’ve reviewed this month, and I’ve thrown in a few honourable mentions as well. Let’s start with the TOP 3!

3rd place – Garnier Intensive 7 Days Smoothing Nourishing Lotion With Cocoa Butter
Runner-Up – The Crème Shop Resveratrol Face Mask

I love Garnier’s Cocoa Butter body lotion. It makes my skin feel super soft and silky, and it smells gorgeous!
The Crème Shop’s Resveratrol face mask is one of the best face masks I’ve tried so far this year.

WINNER – Thierry Mugler Alien Aqua Chic Eau De Toilette

I think Thierry Mugler did a great job with this limited edition fragrance. It made me curious about the other limited editions I missed!

Onto the honourable mentions! Radox‘s incredible Feel Rejuvenated Shower Gel almost made the TOP 3. It was very close! Montagne Jeunesse‘s Sunburst Sauna face mask is pretty awesome too.

Olay‘s Anti-Wrinkle Instant Hydration Eye Cream is very nice. And Garnier‘s Pure Active Anti-Imperfection Cleansing Gel is simply great!

Have you tried any of these products? Or would you like to try any of them? Which products did you love the most this month? Please get in touch via the comments. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂

The Crème Shop Resveratrol Face Mask

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing The Crème Shop‘s Resveratrol Face Mask. Resveratrol is a natural antioxidant that can be found in dark chocolate and red wine. It promises to reduce inflammation, to reverse skin damange and to make skin appear smoother.

You’re supposed to leave the mask on for 20 – 30 minutes, or until the mask is dry (which is what I do). Don’t wash it off! Just proceed with your normal skin care routine. 🙂

So how’s the mask? I think it’s great! The serum is really powerful. It made my lines disappear for just over a day. It was impressive! I also loved the feel and the fragrance of the serum. My skin felt pampered, and the fragrance is what I imagine gummiberry juice to smell (and maybe taste) like. 😊

I’d recommend The Crème Shop‘s Resveratrol Face Mask in an instant. If you’d like to try this mask, TK Maxx sells packs of 5 sheet masks for £4.99 which is great value!
