Nail Of The Day – Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 046 Shout Out Loud, Water Decals & Foils

Hi there! Today’s Nail Of The Day post is about a mani I did not too long ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 046 Shout Out Loud (2 coats, middle and ring fingers, thumbs). I used some gold foil to add a touch of sparkle to the plain green nails.

Then I used floral water decals on my pinkies and ring fingers. I applied 1 coat of Essie As Gold As It Gets for a hint of sparkle. It’s hardly visible in the photo, but it looked nice in real life.

I liked the mani! It looks very busy in the photo, but it’s actually not – you have to try to ignore the colourful sticker on the nail polish lid.

Nail Of The Day – Revlon Colorstay 120 Red Carpet, Rimmel 60 Seconds 831 Magic Stardust & Water Decals / 31 Day Nail Art Challenge #1 Red Nails

Hi there! Happy Monday! This week’s going to be NAIL WEEK, so I’ll be posting about manis only.

I’ve also decided to redo the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge. I’ve done it before (I’ve completed it in summer 2017), and I want to do it again – but on my own terms. I won’t be doing 31 manis in 31 Days, but over the next couple of months.

I might also skip a few individual challenges and replace them with something else, but I’ll try not to pick and choose too much. 🙂

Alright! For this mani, which is challenge #1 RED NAILS, I painted my nails (pinkies, ring fingers) with Revlon Colorstay 120 Red Carpet (2 coats).

I used water decals on my thumbs, index and middle fingers. I tore one of the decals, and another one ended up looking very wrinkly. So I decided to cover up the mistakes with glitter. I chose Rimmel 60 Seconds 831 Magic Stardust.

I liked this mani, and I am looking forward to using decals more often. Just a few weeks ago I bought around 130 sheets of nail decals, so I better use them! 🙂

And just in case, these are the individual nail art challenges:

1 Red Nails

Nail Of The Day – Astor Fashion Studio 002 Cotton Candy, Orly Hair Band, Water Decals & Stamping With Pueen 103

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did a few weeks ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Astor Fashion Studio 002 Cotton Candy (2 coats, thumbs, index and middle fingers).

This is an OK nail polish. I decided to use it for this mani because the bottle is more than half-empty, and I’m thinking I might actually finish this polish!

I used Pueen‘s 103 plate (which is part of Pueen‘s Make Your Day stamping plate collection) and Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto for the images.

I used floral water decals for my ring fingers and pinkies, and I painted 1 coat of Orly Hair Band over them.

I didn’t love the mani, but I did like it. This was a nicer than expected filler mani. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin, Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 270 Steel Grey, Water Decals & Foils

Hi there! I have a Nail Of The Day post for you today. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin (2 coats, middle and index fingers, thumbs) and Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 270 Steel Grey (2 coats, pinkies, ring fingers).

I love the black polish. It’s a true black. Gorgeous! “Steel Grey” isn’t grey at all. It’s more like one of those (more or less) nude-ish shades with maybe a hint of grey.

I used gold foil to add a contrast to the black base colour, and I used water decals to give the mani a halloweeney look. Yes, it’s not Halloween yet, but doing several Halloween manis throughout the month of October is simply more fun.

Nail Of The Day – Christmas Nail Ideas / Revlon Colorstay 180 Indigo Night, Stamping & Water Decals

Hi there! Today’s post is about another Christmas-themed mani I did a couple of days ago.

I started by painting my nails with Revlon Colorstay 180 Indigo Night (2 coats).

I love this polish. The formula is a dream to work with, and the colour is stunning.

I used my new unbranded Christmas-themed stamping plate and Orly Snow Cone (which is my favourite light blue polish) to stamp images onto my nails.

The stamping plate isn’t the best because the images didn’t transfer perfectly. However, no one gets that close to my nails in real life. So no one noticed. 🙂

I used water decals on my ring fingers to make the mani look more christmassey, and I think it worked! By the way, I’m sorry about those blue splotches in the image. I don’t know where they came from. It can only be a technical issue with the camera. It’s just unfortunate that I didn’t notice it until I wrote the post. And now I’m already 2 coats of polish into a new mani…

All in all I’m happy with this mani. Whilst the stamped images didn’t turn out to be perfect, I still think this mani looks really nice. I also love the blue + light blue + red theme because it’s different from all those standard red/green/gold and blue/silver manis.

What do you think? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Halloween Nail Art Ideas / Revlon Brilliant Strength 190 Entice, Essence Colour Boost 05 Instant Summer, Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 702 Marshmallow Heaven & Water Decals

Hi there! 2 weeks ago I told you that I’d be doing a couple of Halloween Nail Art Ideas posts this month. So today I’m showing you another Halloween-themed mani that I did recently. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon Brilliant Strength 190 Entice. This is a great quality polish. Great formula, great brush (flat, wide). Good job, Revlon!

I used a small piece of a cosmetic sponge to apply yellow (Essence Colour Boost 05 Instant Summer) and purple (Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 702 Marshmallow Heaven) splashes of colour.

But the best things about this mani are the water decals (which I bought last year).

I think this mani looks really cute! It’s clearly Halloween-themed, but it’s not orange, it’s not gory, there aren’t any pumpkins or witches… I think this kind of mani would be perfect for everyone who wants to do a Halloween-themed mani that doesn’t look too standard, but that’s still easy to do.

How do you like this mani? Feel free to let me know. And thanks for reading!
