L’Oréal Elvive Dream Lengths Restoring Shampoo & Detangling Conditioner

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 hair care products I’m using at the moment – L’Oréal Elvive Dream Lengths Restoring Shampoo & Detangling Conditioner. These products contain keratin, vitamins and castor oil, and they’re aimed at people with long hair (Duh!). The shampoo promises to reinforce fragile hair, and the conditioner claims to detangle hair with less breakage.

L’Oréal Elvive Dream Lengths Restoring Shampoo is not great. Whilst I think that the shampoo feels cleansing, it also seems to leave a film behind – I think it might be from the castor oil, but I don’t really know. I’ve noticed that the shampoo tangles up my hair. This isn’t great. And there’s the fragrance – I don’t like the strong and dense fragrance (which reminds me of the questionable hairsprays my mum used in the 80s). All in all, I find the shampoo disappointing.

L’Oréal Elvive Dream Lengths Detangling Conditioner isn’t great either. I don’t like its fragrance, and I don’t think it detangles my hair well. The conditioner has a weird texture, and I need to use quite a bit of product to be able to detangle my hair. And this weighs my hair down! I’m not impressed.

I just looked back at all the hair products I used and finished this year, and this combo is my least favourite! So… I won’t repurchase these 2 products, and I have no interest in trying anything else from L’Oréal’s Dream Lengths collection.

However, if you’re interested, L’Oréal Elvive Dream Lengths Restoring Shampoo & Detangling Conditioner are available as 400ml for £4.99 each. I paid £2.25 each (special offer).
