June Beauty Awards

Hi there! It’s the last day of the month, so it’s time for my monthly favourites post. I picked my TOP 3 from all the products I reviewed this past month. And I’ve got a couple of honourable mentions as well. 🙂

3rd place – I Love… Raspberry & Blackberry Refreshing Body Spritzer
Runner-Up – Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Body Oil Gel

This I Love… body spritzer smells wonderful, and it’s insanely refreshing. I love it!
Vaseline’s cocoa body oil gel is simply amazing. Another new favourite!

WINNER – Elizavecca Milky Piggy Aqua Rising Argan Gelato Steam Cream

This Elizavecca moisturiser is truly special. Another new favourite for sure! 🥰

Onto the honourable mentions! I was impressed with Beauty Formulas’ collagen sheet mask. And I’m very happy with the formula and the flavour of Rimmel’s Sunkissed lip balm.

Have you tried any of these products or would you like to try any of them? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading! 😘

Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Body Oil Gel

Vaseline Cocoa Oil GelHi there! Today’s post is about this Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Body Oil Gel.

This body gel promises to nourish skin and to leave skin with a healthy looking glow.

I’ve been using this product for 2 weeks now. Whilst I think that this isn’t the most suitable moisturiser for this time of year, I’m still very happy with it.

I’ve tried this oil gel on dry and on damp skin. I prefer to use it on dry skin – but it works well either way.

The cocoa fragrance is simply amazing. It smells like… paradise! Wow!

I also agree that this oil gel makes my skin glow – so what’s not to love?

Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Body Oil Gel is available as 200ml for about £5.79. I paid £2.59 (better than half price offer).

Nail Of The Day – MUA MakeUp Academy U ROK & Stamping With Pueen 72

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did just a few days ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with MUA MakeUp Academy U ROK (2 coats). This is a good quality polish. It dries quickly, and the formula is great too.

For the images I used a random black nail polish and my Pueen 72 stamping plate (which is part of Pueen‘s amazing Stamping Buffet collection).

I really liked this mani. I love this beautiful shade of purple, and this Pueen stamping plate is one of favourites too.

Rimmel Colour Rush Long Lasting Intense Colour Balm 610 Sun-Kissed

Hi there! Today’s short review is about a lip product I’m using at the moment – Rimmel Colour Rush Long Lasting Intense Colour Balm 610 Sun-Kissed. I bought this one online, and I thought it would be a bit more nude-ish. However, this is essentially a bright coral shade. It’s not the greatest colour for me (redhead with green eyes).

I do like the formula – it’s deeply nourishing, but not slippery. So the colour stays put. I also love the cute candy vanilla flavour. It’s like Tic Tacs without the mint.

So whilst this isn’t the most flattering colour on me, I’m happy to continue to use this lip product. Rimmel Colour Rush Long Lasting Intense Colour Balm 610 Sun-Kissed is available online (but I’ve seen these at Poundland too). I paid 99p.

Skin Treats Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel Collagen Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Skin Treats Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel Collagen Face Mask which I picked up from my local B&M store for £1. This face mask promises to energise dull and fatigued skin for a renewed appearance.

This is a gel mask. You’re supposed to leave it on for 20 minutes, then massage the leftover essence into your skin. Then follow with your regular skin care.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s OK. The gel mask itself is pretty useless. It doesn’t hold any essence, and I don’t think it has any effect on the skin. So instead of wasting my time with the gel mask, I popped a fresh, compressed sheet mask into the sachet. And once it had soaked up the essence, I was able to enjoy a proper sheet mask.

In regards to the essence, I agree that it feels hydrating. However, it also has a strong coconut fragrance (Why?!) which I didn’t care for at all. Because of this, I won’t repurchase this mask.

If you’re interested, Skin Treats Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel Collagen Face Mask is available as a 60g single use mask for £1 at B&M Bargains.

Nail Of The Day – Ciaté Cabaret & Nfu Oh 51

Hi there! Happy Monday! Today’s post is about a mani I did just last week.

And for this mani I painted my nails with Ciaté Cabaret (2 coats).

I’m not the biggest fan of Ciaté. However, they did a good job with this polish. I’m very happy with the colour, the formula and the drying time. Thumbs up!

The beautiful rainbow flakie top coat I used is the one and only Nfu Oh 51.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to capture its magic in any of the photos I took, but I’ll use it again shortly, so hopefully I’ll be able to take a better picture next time.

Garnier Skin Active Refreshing Botanical Cleansing Milk & Toner With Aloe Extract

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 facial cleansing products I’m using at the moment – Garnier Skin Active Refreshing Botanical Cleansing Milk & Toner With Aloe Extract. These products are aimed at normal to combination skin.

Garnier Skin Active Refreshing Botanical Cleansing Milk With Aloe Extract is a disappointment. It feels nice and cleansing, and the aloe scent is alright too. However, as soon as I follow up with a toner, it’s obvious that the cleansing milk doesn’t really remove the make-up. I’ve had the same problem with another Garnier cleansing milk before. And while we’re at it, Nivea’s rose cleanser was similarly disappointing.

Garnier Skin Active Refreshing Botanical Toner With Aloe Extract is not the greatest toner either. I think this one would be good for people who don’t wear make-up and who don’t experiece impurities. I will contiue to use it in the morning after I’ve washed my face in the shower. But I can’t use it after I’ve removed my make-up in the evening, because it’s not very effective, and I don’t want to end up double-toning as this would make my skin angry.

If you’re interested, Garnier Skin Active Refreshing Botanical Cleansing Milk & Toner With Aloe Extract are available as 200ml for £3.49 each. I paid £1.74 (half price offer)

I Love… Raspberry & Blackberry Refreshing Body Spritzer

Hi there! Today’s post is about this I Love… Raspberry & Blackberry Refreshing Body Spritzer which I’ve been using on and off since March.

I’ve used so many different I Love… products over the years. And I had this body mist in my stash for a while. I can’t believe I’ve only started to use it this year! 🤦‍♀️

Anyhoo, how’s the product? Well, it’s amazing! I could kick myself for not trying it sooner! The fragrance itself is incredibly yummy. It smells of sunny blackberries and raspberries, and it’s as refreshing as a cool lemonade on a hot summer day. This is so much better than all of those sickeningly sweet strawberry fragrances many women seem to enjoy.

Whilst this is obviously not a sophisticated fragrance, I’m enjoying the refreshing scent quite a bit. My husband likes this one too!

I Love… Raspberry & Blackberry Refreshing Body Spritzer is available as 100ml. I paid £1 (Poundland).
