Pure Awesomeness – Ramer Sponges Cleansing Shammy For Sensitive Skin

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Ramer Sponges Cleansing Shammy For Sensitive Skin. According to Ramer Sponges (I’m almost quoting them) the shammy’s tiny sponge pores make it ultra soft to the touch and ensure that cleansing and toning are quick and easy.

The shammy also promises to leave the skin feeling squeaky clean. This sounds great! And how do you use it? That’s easy! Use it like you’d use any face cloth. Give it a thorough rinse after cleansing, and leave it to dry naturally.

I picked up this little shammy at an independent pharmacy, and I used it for the very first time this past Monday. And I am absolutely blown away! From now on, I don’t think I’ll ever use anything else to remove my make-up. Here’s what I do: Instead of removing my make-up with cleansing milk and a cotton pad, I just massage the cleansing milk into my skin. Then I use the moist shammy to remove all the beige. It works perfectly, and I no longer end up with cleansing milk residue or cotton pad fluff in my hair.

The shammy leaves my skin feeling incredibly clean. It feels so gentle. But it’s the most effective make-up removing tool or accessory I’ve ever used. Also, the shammy is machine-washable at 40 degrees. 😍 So it will last for a long time! I love it so much that I already ordered a few more directly from the manufacturer. If you’re interested, the incredible Ramer Sponges Cleansing Shammy For Sensitive Skin is available in pharmacies, at B&M Bargains and directly from Ramer Sponges.

You Need This In Your Life – Danielle 2 In 1 Jade Dual Sided Facial Roller

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Danielle 2 In 1 Jade Dual Sided Facial Roller which I found at my local TK Maxx store about 2 weeks ago. I’ve been thinking about buying a facial roller for quite a while. But I wasn’t sure which type, which gem (jade, opal, rose quartz…) and, of course, whether I actually needed one. But I liked the look and the price of this double-ended one, so I bought it.

Alright… what does is say? It promises to help eliminate puffy eyes, to brighten and to firm the skin, to relieve tension, and to promote relaxation and circulation. Wow, this sounds good! So I put it to the test.

Let me start by saying that this facial roller is my new favourite beauty tool. I LOVE IT! And here’s how I use it.

I shower and wash my hair in the shower every morning. Then I start with my actual skin care routine – by using a toner. My new step 2 is now the facial roller. I use the end with the massaging nubs all over my forehead, cheeks, chin, between the nose and lips – all over my face really. Then I use the smooth end around my eyes.

The smooth end of the facial roller is cool. It feels amazing on my face. I can see and feel that it massages my skin and that it helps a lot with circulation – which also makes it easier for the skin to absorb products. đŸ„° In addition, it has an unexpected but very welcome exfoliating effect – results were visible very quickly.

Once I’ve given my skin the facial roller treatment, I use a face mist and a serum (the face mist “stretches” the serum, and the serum locks the hydration boost from the face mist into the skin), then my eye cream, then my day cream, leaving a few moments between steps.

I’ve noticed that my skin looks so much better than it usually does. It’s still my skin – but it’s better. Everything – skin tone, firmness, how clear my skin is… I wouldn’t want to miss this facial roller for the world. I already bought another (for travel, and also in case I lose, misplace or break mine). Based on my experience, I’d recommend this facial roller to everyone! If you’re interested, Danielle 2 In 1 Jade Dual Sided Facial Roller is available for ÂŁ9.99 at TK Maxx.

You Need These In Your Life – Primark PS… Cellulose Facial Cleansing Sponges

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing the PS… Facial Cleansing Sponges that I found at Primark. I’ve been using one of these sponges for about 4 weeks now – and I love it! I think I love these cellulose sponges more than konjac sponges! Now let me tell you why I think that you need to try these sponges too. 🙂

I think these sponges are super easy to use – you use them just as you would use any other facial sponge or washcloth. Just apply a small amount of face wash to the moist sponge and rub it all over your face. And that’s it! I think this sponge makes my skin feel super soft and clean, however, it’s not harsh at all. This sponge is definitely suitable for daily use, and I’m sure it’s perfect for all skin types.

I also like that these sponges are easy to clean. Just squeeze out any residue under running water – job done! Another big plus is that these sponges dry quickly. Whilst I’m not sure how long it takes for these sponges to dry, my sponge is always dry when I want to use it – and sometimes I use it twice a day.

To make a long story short – these sponges are fantastic! I’d recommend them in an instant, and I’ve already stocked up (I’ll do another haul post soon). PS… Facial Cleansing Sponges are exclusive to Primark. A pack of 2 sponges is ÂŁ1!

You Need This In Your Life – Superdrug Dehydrated Facial Konjac Sponge

Hi there! Today’s post is about my new favourite beauty accessory – Superdrug’s Dehydrated Facial Konjac Sponge. I didn’t know what to expect because I’ve never used a konjac sponge before. I know they’ve been around for a while, but over the past couple of weeks I’ve read several blog posts in which fellow bloggers mentioned how much they loved their konjac sponges – and all of a sudden I wanted one! 🙂

And now I have my konjac sponge! Well, I bought 3 sponges – but there was a 3 for 2 offer. OK, let’s get to the product. This konjac sponge is made from pure vegetable fibres – I’m assuming it would be suitable for vegans. The sponge is dehydrated, so it has to be soaked in water for a few minutes before it can be used for the first time. But this is a one-time-thing, and from then on all you need to do is rinse the sponge under the tab for a few seconds – and it will be ready for use.
superdrug-konjac-sponge
And what does the sponge do? This konjac sponge promises to exfoliate and to cleanse skin, and to improve circulation for clear and soft skin. And does it work? Yes, absolutely! All you have to do is use the sponge on your face – the same way you’d use any other sponge, flannel or washcloth.

Does it work with cleansing products? Yes. You can apply a drop of cleansing milk or face wash (or whatever you use to remove your make-up or to cleanse your face) to the moist sponge. Just rub it all over your face and you’ll see that it removes make-up, dirt and dead skin cells very well. Your skin will look and feel soft and clear. Awesome stuff!

Another good thing is that konjac sponges are gentle enough for daily use. Whilst harsh scrubs can damage skin, konjac sponges are perfectly suitable for dry, sensitive and flaky skin. And even people with rosacea can use them – because apparently they don’t irritate skin – at least that’s what a dermatologist told Allure magazine (I refer to this article). Personally, I believe these sponges are perfect for every day use – and I’ve made them part of my cleansing routine.

More good stuff: Konjac sponges are all natural, so when they fall apart you can compost them. 🙂 I’ll continue to use Superdrug’s konjac sponges – they’re ÂŁ1.99 each, so they’re much better value than the “cheap” ones you can find on that auction web site or that online marketplace. 😉

Feel free to let me know what you think of konjac sponges. Do you love them too? For how long have you been using them? Or if you’ve never used konjac sponges before, will you give them a try? Please let me know your thoughts. And thanks for reading!

Poundland Allura Make-Up Brushes

Hi there! I’ve wanted to review Poundland’s own brand make-up brushes for quite some time – because I’ve been using them for ages and I’m very happy with them. Allura is Poundland’s old own brand. They do all kinds of different brushes – kabuki, foundation, blush, powder and eyeshadow brushes. And I’ve got them all.

I’ve only taken pictures of the double-ended angled eyeshadow brush, the kabuki brush and the angled blush brush – that’s because these were the only unused back-up brushes I could find right now. I also want to apologise for the poor photo quality. Due to the lighting it was impossible to take better pics of the brushes in their original packaging. But back to the brushes!
Allura Make-Up Brushes 2
What I like about Poundland’s make-up brushes is that they’re synthetic. If you’ve got trouble with brushes with natural (= animal hair) bristles, you’ll be fine when you use these brushes because the bristles are 100% synthetic.

I also love the quality of Allura’s make-up brushes. I’ve been using some of their brushes for well over a year – and they still look pretty good. I clean my eyeshadow brushes after each use, so I’m not easy on them!

The design of these brushes is also quite pretty. I really like the black / white / hot pink colour combo. I think these brushes look girly, but they don’t look as cheap as they are. 🙂

I’m very happy with my Poundland make-up brushes and I can only recommend them. I also think these would be great for someone who’s just starting to get into make-up, but who likes to experiment. A collection of all of Poundland’s make-up brushes would make a great gift for a young lady!

Poundand’s Allura make-up brushes are ÂŁ1 each. But Poundland is currently giving some of its own brand stuff a make-over. And these pretty brushes are being replaced with simple black & white ones under their Make-Up Gallery brand. If you’d rather have these girly ones, you need to be quick! And if you’re a nail nut, check out Poundland’s nail art brushes, too!

My New Tokidoki MakeUp Bag

Hi there! Today’s post is a really short one. But I had to show you my new make-up bag which I bought for half price (Boots, ÂŁ4) on Boxing Day. It’s a cute Tokidoki cosmetic bag which features Donutella, Donutino and two of the three Sprinklettes. And it’s got an all-over print featuring lots of different characters – including my favourite, SANDy!
Tokidoki MakeUp Bag 1
The cosmetic bag is medium-sized (about 18 cm x 8 cm) and all the cosmetics I need (define ‘need’…) have enough space in there. No more ‘stuff being beaten up by other stuff’! 😀 I bought another Tokidoki cosmetic bag, but I seem to have misplaced it. I’ll let you know when I find the other one which is just as cute!

My Little Pony MakeUp Bag

Hi there! A couple of days ago I had to say goodbye to my makeup bag. It was quite worn out anyway, but when the zipper broke, it had to go. Now I’m someone who has dozens of makeup bags (because they’re just given away as free gifts everywhere), but that didn’t stop me from picking up this cute My Little Pony makeup bag at Poundland.
My Little Pony MakeUp Bag
Actually, it’s a pencil case, but the size is quite alright (I reckon it’s about 24 cm x 10 cm) and all the stuff I need (define ‘need’…) fits in there, so… I now have a My Little Pony makeup bag! 😀

Who else came across something cute that made them smile recently? Thank you for stopping by!

Poundland Allura Nail Art Brushes

Allura Nail Art BrushesHi there and Happy Sunday! This week I’ve been really busy and it’s just now that I feel like I’ve got half an hour for myself. So what do I do? Write a quick post about one of my latest beauty purchases.

I bought Poundland’s Allura Nail Art Brushes not too long ago and now, after using almost all the brushes (I still haven’t used the fan brush), I wanted to let you know how awesome these little tools are. (And scroll down for a picture of the actual brushes!)

But let me start from the beginning. This set contains six nail art brushes and a small dotting tool. The dotting tool is great for tiny dots, but you can obviously create larger dots or circles as well. I like the dotting tool a lot because it’s great to do eyes when I’m working on a cute animal mani. I’ll show you soon! 🙂

I’m happy with the selection too. There is an angled brush, a square-ended brush, a pointed brush with a bend (which is very handy for spaces that you cannot reach easily), a fan brush (which I have yet to use), an actual ‘paint’ brush and a striping brush.

Apart from the fan brush I’ve used all the other brushes at least twice and I’m happy with the quality. No problems to report! These brushes are no different from the ‘value basic brushes’ you can order for ÂŁ3 online – but these ones are obviously ÂŁ1 only.

Granted, this set won’t give serious nail art pros an adrenaline rush, but it’s a nice little set for starters and for those who only use nail art brushes every now and then. And the set’s ÂŁ1 only, so you really can’t go wrong!

As promised, here’s the photo of the actual brushes. From left to right: angled brush, square brush, pointy brush, fan brush, paint brush, striping brush, dotting tool.
Allura Nail Art Brushes
Thank you for reading. And please feel free to comment if you’ve added these brushes to your nail art stash, or if you want to add them or if you’ve got anything else to say. 🙂
