March Beauty Awards

Hi there! Welcome to Mrs Strawberry Blonde’s March Beauty Awards. 😉 This post is about the products I loved the most in March. I picked my favourites from all the products I reviewed this past month. It was really difficult this month because I reviewed quite a few awesome products. Now, let’s start with the TOP 3!

3rd place – Montagne Jeunesse Pink Cactus Flower Peel Off
Runner-Up – Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Refreshing Toning Mist

Montagne Jeunesse did a fabulous job with this face mask. I bought a dozen more of these masks!
Superdrug’s Vitamin E Refreshing Toning Mist is simply wonderful. It’s a new beauty staple!

WINNER – Nivea Soft Refreshingly Soft Moisturising Cream

Nivea’s Soft Cream is one of my all-time favourite body moisturisers. I cannot believe I’ve never tried it until a few weeks ago! But from now on, I’ll be buying it frequently!

Onto the honourable mentions! Palmolive’s Pampering Clay and Purifying Clay shower gels are awesome! I’d recommend them to everyone! Malibu Sun’s Tropical Flavour Lip Care is amazing, and Maxbrands’ Charcoal Peel Off Mask is simply fantastic!

I liked the Spa Premium Epsom Salts And Eucalyptus, I found Primark’s PS… Soothing Cream Mask to be a lovely surprise, and Rimmel’s Sun Safari eyeshadow quad has enhanced my current eye make-up routine!

Have you tried any of these products? Would you like to try them? Which products have you been loving lately? Feel free to tell me via the comments. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Malibu Lip Care Balms – Mango Flavour, Mint Flavour & Tropical Flavour

Hi there! Today’s post is about 3 Malibu Lip Care BalmsMango Flavour, Mint Flavour and Tropical Flavour! These lip balms claim to be extra resistant to sun, sweat and water, and they promise UVA and UVB protection. I’ve given them a try, and I’m happy to say that these 3 lip balms are hydrating, and that they stay on. This is great. Now let’s focus on the flavours!

Malibu Mango Flavour Lip Care is my least favourite lip balm of the bunch. The flavour is terribly artificial, and I would never have guessed that it’s supposed to be mango.

Malibu Mint Flavour Lip Care is nice if you like mint-flavoured products. I’m not a fan, but my husband will be happy to use this lip balm.

Malibu Tropical Flavour Lip Care is my favourite of the three lip balms. The fruity flavour is really well done, and I’m enjoying it very much!

Based on my experience, I think these are decent products. If you want lip balms that stay on your lips and don’t slip down to your chin, you might want to give these ones a try. If you order through Malibu Sun’s website, these are £3.99 for a pack of 3, but the same pack of 3 is £1.49 at B&M Bargains (where I found them).

Primark PS… Soothing Cream Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is the last one for this week, and it’s also the last post this Face Mask Week. And it’s about this Primark PS… Soothing Cream Mask.

This mask promises to soothe and to hydrate skin. You’re supposed to cleanse your skin, then apply the mask to your face and neck. After about 15 minutes, rinse it off! And that’s already it!

A look at the ingredients shows that the mask is bursting with botanical extracts. This is great! I’ve given the mask a try, and I think it’s really nice. I would agree that the mask felt soothing and hydrating! One more thing I’d like to mention is that the mask has an interesting texture – it’s a jelly with pulp. It’s unusual, but it’s the perfect mask for a home spa day!

Primark PS… Soothing Cream Mask is available as 15ml for 80p at Primark. I’ll buy more of these!

100% Cruelty-Free – Montagne Jeunesse Lemon Macaron

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing this Montagne Jeunesse Lemon Macaron face mask which I picked up at my local Primark store.

I thought this mask was a clay mask – but it’s actually a rinse-off moisture mask.

How does it work? The instructions state that you should do a patch test. If your skin tolerates the product without any issues, you should cleanse your face, apply the mask all over your face, leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then rinse it off.

The result it promises is “intense moisturisation for super soft skin”.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s OK. It’s not really moisturising, but it’s one of those face masks which are nice enough when you take a long bath.

I won’t buy this mask again, but in case you’re interested… Montagne Jeunesse Lemon Macaron is available as 25ml for 90p at Primark.

Derma V10 Flamingo Printed Sheet Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Derma V10 Flamingo Printed Sheet Mask. This face mask promises to leave skin soft, smooth and more radiant. You’re supposed to leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes, then massage the leftover essence from the sachet into your skin.

This face mask contains a number of botanical ingredients – bamboo lily extract, coconut extract, horse mint leaf extract, bourbon geranium extract, etc. I didn’t expect this from such a cheap mask (£1, Poundland).

I’ve now given this mask a try, and I think it’s OK. Yes, it feels hydrating, but it also leaves the skin feeling a bit sticky. I also think I’ve had this mask before (sold under the brand name Skin Treats). The feel of the mask and the annoying coconut fragrance gave it away.

If you don’t hate coconut scents, and if you don’t mind sticky face masks, you might want to give this mask a try. Derma V10 Flamingo Printed Sheet Mask is available as a single-use face mask for about £1 at bargain stores.

Maxbrands Sence Beauty Blackhead Peel-Off Facial Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Maxbrands Sence Beauty Blackhead Peel-Off Facial Mask with charcoal extract. This mask promises to cleanse pores and to exfoliate skin.

This mask also comes with a warning – this is powerful stuff, and it should only be used as directed. So use it on your forehead, nose and chin area. If you notice any issues with the mask, wash it off immediately!

I knew what to expect with this product because I’ve previously tried its sister product. So when I tried this mask, it there were no surprises. Don’t be alarmed, this mask didn’t cause me any physical harm. However, this mask is super powerful. It pulls out impurities (Say goodbye to the black spots on your nose!) because it really clings to the skin. It also pulls out facial hair, so if you’re sensitive, you should shave your face before you use this mask. Otherwise it will rip out all of your peach fuzz!

All in all, this mask is simply amazing. I’d recommend it to everyone with skin impurities (assuming you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients). Just make sure you read the warning that comes with the product and follow the instructions, OK?

Maxbrands Sence Beauty Blackhead Peel-Off Facial Mask is available as a pack of 5 for 99p (Home Bargains, Poundstretcher). This is a total bargain!

Sugu Beauty Refreshing Panda Face Sheet Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Sugu Beauty Refreshing Panda Face Sheet Mask. This mask contains a number of botanical extracts as well as sodium hyaluronate. This is a regular sheet mask – use it after you’ve cleansed your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Then massage the remaining essence from the sachet into your skin.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s good but not great. I agree that the essence felt refreshing, and I’m happy to report that it didn’t leave my skin feeling sticky. But I don’t think that the mask made any real difference to my skin at all.

The mask itself looked super cute. It was a really good fit for my face, but the ear shapes weren’t great because I had to fold them over. Anyhoo, this is a decent mask, and I’m glad I gave it a try. If you’re interested, Sugu Beauty Refreshing Panda Face Sheet Mask is available as a 27ml single-use face mask. I paid £1 (Poundland).

100% Cruelty-Free – Primark PS… Moisturising Sheet Mask With Avocado

Hi there! Today’s post is about Primark’s PS… Moisturising Sheet Mask With Avocado. This sheet mask also contains collagen, vitamin E and aloe vera leaf juice. This sheet mask is supposed to be used after cleansing. Simply leave it on for 20 minutes while you relax, then massage the remaining essence from the sachet into your skin.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s quite good. It feels hydrating and mildly refreshing. I found this mask to be super gentle, and I would recommend it!

Primark’s PS… Moisturising Sheet Mask With Avocado is available as a 23g single-use face mask for 80p. The sheet mask itself is bio-degradable, and the mask is certified cruelty-free (all of Primark’s own brand beauty stuff now carries the Leaping Bunny logo)! Good stuff!

100% Cruelty-Free – Montagne Jeunesse Pink Cactus Flower Peel Off

Hi there! And welcome to Face Mask Week! Yes, I’ll be posting about face masks only this week.

And I’m starting off with this Montagne Jeunesse Pink Cactus Flower Peel Off face mask. 🌵🌸

This mask promises to cleanse and to detoxify skin. It’s a regular peel off mask. Apply it to your face, leave it alone so it can dry (about 15 minutes), then peel it off and wash your face to make sure you remove any residue.

I think this is one of Montagne Jeunesse’s better peel off masks. I found it to be really effective at removing dirt and oil. And the floral fragrance is simply wonderful. It’s just wow! If this was an actual fragrance, I’d wear it!

Based on my experience, I’d be more than happy to recommend this face mask!

Montagne Jeunesse Pink Cactus Flower Peel Off face mask is available as 10ml for 90p (Primark). This face mask carries the Leaping Bunny logo – it’s certified cruelty-free!
