Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum. This is the old packaging – I bought this product at one of the bargain stores. With this one, I don’t remember the price. Normally, I either write it inside the lid of the box, or I take the product photos and save them in a draft, along with the product size and price. This time I did neither.

Anyhoo, this eye serum is supposed to be used as the fourth step of your skin care routine – cleanser, serum, moisturiser, then the eye serum. This eye serum is fragrance-free, fast-absorbing and and non-greasy. The product promises to renew the youthful look of the eye area, to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and to smooth, brighten and exfoliate the skin.

I’ve been using this product once to twice a day since the beginning of the year, and I love it. I said in a previous post that I have been using a bunch of random products over the second half of 2023, so I didn’t take care of specific skin care concerns. I didn’t think that this would show, however, since I started to use 3 different Olay Regenerist poducts, my skin looks and feels much better.

I’ve noticed that this eye serum has helped brighten the area around my eyes, and it seemed to have filled the fine lines which were starting to show. My eye area looks smoother and refreshed – this isn’t something that would have happened naturally this past cold and wet winter. I can only credit the Olay Regenerist products that I am using – the serum, the night cream, and this eye serum. To sum it up, I am absolutely over the moon with this product (and with the other products from the Regenerist range).

If you’re intersted, Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum is available as 15ml. I have done a quick google search, and I found several online sellers who still sell this amazing product for a bargain price.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse

Hi there! Today’s post is about Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. A little while ago, I picked up a small reduced price Nuxe set with 4 different oils. I have been reluctant to buy any of the full size oils for years as they’re quite expensive, and there was always something more enticing for a fraction of the price at TK Maxx… But when I saw this little set with 4 different small oils (10ml each) at M&S, I thought this was a great way to try the different Nuxe oils. So I bought the set.

I love this little set. It has lived in my bedroom for a while. I had a bunch of other products to use first, and this set always looked cute and fancy, almost too pretty to be opened. But I finally got around to open it, and I chose Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, the brand’s most famous and most popular product, to try first.

I’ve now been using this facial oil for a few months, and I think it’s awesome. I’m using it in many different ways. Sometimes I use it right after cleansing, sometimes I use it on top of my moisturiser or instead of my moisturiser. I also use it before I apply my make-up, to lock in some extra moisture, and to ensure my make-up looks as dewy as possible for as long as possible. Other uses are for dry patches, mainly on my face, but I’ve also used it on my body. I’ve never used this oil for my hair, so that’s one aspect I can’t comment on.

This oil is lovely. It’s a dry oil, so it doesn’t feel greasy. It’s rich, but it’s absorbed into the skin in no time, and it plays well with all my other skin care products and with my foundation. Also, the scent is lovely – it’s warm and tropical. I’ve been using this oil since November and I’m only about one third through the bottle. It’s absolutely insane how much is still left in the bottle!

Based on my experience, I would recommend this product. It’s working really well for me, and I can’t wait to try the other oils from this set. If you’re interested, Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse is available as 30, 50 and 100ml. I have a 10ml size from a set. And I have also seen other sets with 15ml bottles, usually gift or travel sets.

Boots Ingredients Shampoo & Conditioner With Hyaluronic Acid

Hi there! Today’s post is about my current hair care combo – Boots Ingredients Shampoo & Conditioner With Hyaluronic Acid and extra virgin chia seed oil. These products promise a gentle and moisturising cleanse. This is the first time I’m trying anything from Boots’ Ingredients hair care collection, so let’s see if these products are any good.

Boots Ingredients Shampoo With Hyaluronic Acid is a fantastic shampoo. It’s a creamy formula, and it lathers up very well, making my hair feel weightless. I love it! This is one of the best shampoos I’ve ever used – and I’m a daily washer, so you can trust I have tried and tested plenty of shampoos! The shampoo feels cleansing but it’s also gentle at the same time which is exactly what it promises to do. The fragrance is fresh and floral – a bit like white tea with a touch of floral sweetness. Gorgeous! In summary, I love everything about this shampoo. A definite repurchase!

Boots Ingredients Conditioner With Hyaluronic Acid is just as good as the shampoo. This conditioner detangles my hair quickly and easily, and I don’t have to use a lot of product. Truly great stuff! Let me mention one thing – it’s not easy to squeeze the conditioner out of the bottle. The bottle is very stiff. But there’s no need for drama. I turned the bottle upside down, and this seems to do the trick. All in all, the conditioner is lovely, and I wouldn’t let a stiff bottle stop me from buying this product again.

I’m enjoying these hair care products very much. They’re much better than I thought they would be. I also love how wonderful and gentle they are on freshly coloured hair. This hair care combo makes my hair look and feel fabulous, and I also haven’t noticed any product build-up (I wash daily though, so I can’t comment on how it would be if you wash less frequently).

Boots Ingredients Shampoo & Conditioner With Hyaluronic Acid are available as 250ml each. The price is usually £2.55 each, but I picked them up during some special offer – although I don’t remember how much I paid.

Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum. This is the old packaging – I bought this serum for £12.99 at a local bargain store (I am 90% certain that it was B&M). I had a day moisturiser from this range before – and I loved it. So why would I not give the matching serum a try?

Alrighty, this serum is meant to be the 2nd step in your skin care routine. You’re supposed to use it between cleansing and moisturising. This serum promises to regenerate the skin’s youthful look, to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and to exfoliate and brighten the skin.

I’ve been using this serum for a month, and I love it. I fell in love with it the first time I used it. This serum has a tightening effect. I could feel it right away, and it was so good! I also found that my skin felt much smoother immediately after applyig the serum. Simply beautiful!

I love how the serum sinks into the skin and that it works well with all my other products without balling up. If only all products were like this!  😀

I’ve also noticed a more even skin tone again. Whilst my face has shades of beige, grey, pink and brown, it is a lot more beige and grey lately. I am pale, and beige and grey are just what my skin looks like. There is hardly any pink now. Yay! Less irritation and fewer spots! And there is a lot less brown too. I have melasma, and the brown patches on my forehead, between my nose and lips and elsewhere on my face are quite the contrast to my pale skin. But this serum (and a bunch of other Olay Regenerist products which I am using at the moment) helped a lot and evened out my skin tone again! Amazing stuff!

Based on my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend this serum. It’s one of my favourite products, and I will buy it again! Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum is available as 50ml. The current price is £34, but over the past 2 weeks, I’ve seen it for half price (Sainsbury’s with Nectar Card) and on a BOGOF offer (Superdrug). So keep your eyes peeled for special offers!

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Herbal Essences Petal Soft Rose Scent Hair Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Herbal Essences Petal Soft Rose Scent Hair Mask. I am using the matching shampoo and conditioner at the moment, so it’s the perfect time to also give this hair mask a try. Read on to see if it’s any good. 😀

I’ve been using this hair mask 1-2 times a week for the past 3 weeks, and I am very happy with it. It’s really easy to use. After you’ve washed your hair, use it instead of a conditioner. Leave it on for 5 minutes, then rinse, and that’s already it. This hair mask makes my hair feel super soft, and I love it.

Unfortunately, I don’t care for the rose fragrance. If you love rose scented-products, you will most likely love this. However, I would have preferred a different fragrance. Having known the original pink Herbal Essences fragrance, this one is a huuuge disappointment in comparison – but this is just my opinion. Having said this, I will still use and repurchase this hair mask. It’s that good that I will simply have to make peace with the rose fragrance.

I would definitely recommend this hair mask. Herbal Essences Petal Soft Rose Scent Hair Mask is available as 300ml and 500ml. The 300ml is £3.75 at Poundland and Asda, whilst the 500ml is priced between £7.50 and £10.99. Obviously, without any significant special offer on the big tub, buying the smaller tub is by far the best deal.

Also, this product is certified vegan and cruelty-free (by PETA)! ♥

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Herbal Essences Petal Soft Rose Scent Shampoo & Conditioner

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Herbal Essences Petal Soft Rose Scent Shampoo & Conditioner hair care combo. When I saw these at Poundland, I thought, OMG, are the originals back? Then I took a sniff from the bottle, only to be majorly disappointed. However, this combo had the look of the original line, and I thought maybe these products are similar in quality, so I bought them.

Fast forward 3 weeks… Herbal Essences Petal Soft Rose Scent Shampoo is great. I wash my hair every morning, and I am happy to report that the shampoo feels cleansing, yet not stripping. It has a beautiful gel formula, and this is simply a great quality shampoo. The rose scent is… probably quite nice if you love rose scents. I am not in love with it. However, despite the rose scent, the shampoo is actually amazing, very similar to the original Herbal Essences, and I will buy it again. PS: My husband agrees that the shampoo is very cleansing, and he loves using it after a sweaty workout. Amazing stuff!

Herbal Essences Petal Soft Rose Scent Conditioner is fantastic too. Again, I have to deduct imaginary points for the rose scent which I am not a fan of. However, I guess lots of people will like it. The conditioner itself has a lovely formula. Also quite similar to the original Herbal Essences conditioner, although it feels a bit less thick. Anyhoo, this conditioner does have the same out-of-this-world detangling powers as the original Herbal Essences conditioner, and I know I will buy it again.

Despite the rose scent, this is my favourite new hair care combo in years. I think the last time I was so excited about a shampoo and conditioner was when I tried Aussie Mega for the first time about 5 or so years ago. Before that, it was the reintroduction of the original Herbal Essences about 10 or so years ago. 😀

If you are interested, Herbal Essences Petal Soft Rose Scent Shampoo & Conditioner are available as 250ml and 200ml, respectively. I paid £2.50 each (Poundland). There are also bigger sizes available at the drugstores and supermarkets now (350ml for the shampoo and 250ml for the conditioner). These bigger bottles are £6 each, but I’ve also seen them at Superdrug, Sainsbury’s and Tesco for £2.99 / £3. Also, these products are certified vegan and cruelty-free (by PETA). ♥

I bought a few more colours/scents from this new collection already, Lavender from Superdrug (£2.99 each for the bigger sizes) and Orange and Aloe from Sainsbury’s (£3 each for the bigger sizes), and I picked up the smaller bottles for the Argan Oil products from Poundland as well. I also got my hands on the hair mask… the next few months will be very interesting hair-care wise! 😀

Palmolive Naturals Almond & Milk Shower Cream, Palmolive Naturals Black Orchid & Moisturising Milk Shower Milk

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 of my all-time favourite shower gels – Palmolive Naturals Almond & Milk Shower Cream and Palmolive Naturals Black Orchid & Moisturising Milk Shower Milk.

Palmolive Naturals Almond & Milk Shower Cream is THE one shower gel that I’ve loved the longest – I started to use it as a teen some time in the 90s! And this shower gel has the most beautiful sweet and milky fragrance. It smells somewhat of almond, but it’s 10 levels above any other almond-scented body product. This shower is… heaven!

Palmolive Naturals Black Orchid & Moisturising Milk Shower Milk is wonderful too. It smells dark, velvety and sensual. Absolutely gorgeous! I’m sad that this is the last bottle in my stash. I wish I had a few more because this beauty has been discontinued. 😦

Palmolive Naturals Almond & Milk Shower Cream and Palmolive Naturals Black Orchid & Moisturising Milk Shower Milk are available as 250ml each. If you come across these shower gels at some discount store, get them while you still can! I can’t imagine that anyone would not love these. 😀

Pure Awesomeness – Kenzo Amour Eau De Parfum

Kenzo AmourHi there! Today’s post is about this Kenzo Amour Eau De Parfum which I’ve had in my stash for ages but forgot about.

I’ve actually gone through several bottles of this fragrance in the past (before I started this blog), so this fragrance isn’t new to me. However, even though I used to love it, I kind of forgot it existed. I’m not proud of it!

Alrighty, let’s look at the notes! Kenzo Amour contains rice and white tea (top notes), frangipani, cherry blossom and heliotrope (heart notes), and vanilla, incense, musk and thanaka wood (base notes).

Kenzo Amour is the most delicious vanilla, powder and rice pudding fragrance imaginable. It couldn’t be any more beautiful. Kenzo Amour is bottled innocence, hugged by love, light, more love and warmth. It’s so special!

Based on my experience, I’d recommend this fragrance to absolutely everyone. Go and give it a sniff! Kenzo Amour Eau De Parfum is available as 30, 50 and 100ml.

Kenzo used to do different colours for the different bottle sizes. I know because I have them all (plus lots of limited editions but that’s for another day). However, I think they only do red bottles now. The one in the photo is a 100ml – the bottles used to be orange, but now they’re red. Ah well, as long as they don’t change the fragrance, I don’t mind the colour of the bottle it comes in.

100% Pure Awesomeness – Nuxe Rêve de Miel Eau Savoureuse Parfumante / Delectable Fragrant Water

Hi there! Happy Friday! Today’s post is about this Nuxe Rêve de Miel Eau Savoureuse Parfumante – or Delectable Fragrant Water.

I went to M&S the other day to try out a bunch of fragrances – and I came across this beauty. I sprayed it on me, let my husband have a sniff who then also sprayed it on himself – and a few minutes later we decided to buy this simply wonderful fragrance!

What does it smell like? According to Nuxe, it contains citrus notes, flowers, honey, sandalwood, tonka bean, orange blossom and musk. I think it smells like a sunkissed floral honey – like actual honey! The fragrance is sweet and gentle… it’s so lovely! Even though it’s just a “fragrant water” formula, it lasts for a long time on my skin, my scarves and my tops. Very nice!

My husband also enjoys this fragrance every once in a while – when he is in the mood for a sweet and cuddly fragrance.

Based on my own experience, I’d recommend this product. Interested? Nuxe Rêve de Miel Eau Savoureuse Parfumante / Delectable Fragrant Water is available as 100ml for £29.50 (M&S).

As always, make sure you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients before use!
