Hi there! Today’s post is about this Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Paper Mask. This mask promises to detoxify the skin, to remove impurities and to give skin a deep cleanse. This is a leave-on sheet mask. Enjoy the mask for 10 minutes, then just remove it and follow with your regular skin care.
I’ve given this mask a try, and I think that this is a good mask – just not for me. Here’s why. The mask tingles. On the pack it says this is normal, but I’m not a fan of masks that tingle. The mask also had a strong chemical smell. And while the mask was cleansing, it made my skin feel rather dry.
I won’t repurchase this mask, but if you have oily skin and want a deeply cleansing mask, you might want to check it out. Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Paper Mask is available as a 20ml single-use mask. I paid £2 for 3 masks; I will give the remaining 2 masks away. To end the post on a postive note – this mask is certified cruelty-free. It carries the Leaping Bunny logo!

Hi there! Today’s post is about most of the stuff I bought since Boxing Day. There is one gift set I have no photo of because it’s already been packed up for the house move. The gift set is a Thierry Mugler Aura fragrance set (plus mini shower gel and mini body lotion). OK, now let’s look at the goodies I was able to take photos of!
I bought plenty of face masks. Primark had a number of heavily discounted face masks (some £1, some 50p), and I bought over 20. I also picked up 3 Yes To face masks for a total of £2 (reduced to clear for £1 each and a 3 for 2 offer on top at Boots). I also found Simple face masks at Poundland, Boots and B&M Bargains. They normally retail for £2.99 each, but most of them were £1, some £1.49.
A set of mini nail files from Superdrug. The set was 10p (clearance). Bioré Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar for £1.99 at Home Bargains!
A set of 4 Charcoal Self-Heating One Minute Masks from Bioré – £1.99 at Home Bargains. And a set of 3 fruity face masks from Superdrug for £1.49 (I bought 2 sets).
Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Micro Polish – 3 tubes for 60p each (clearance). A set of nail files – these were 50p at Poundland (clearance bin). I use glass nail files at home, but I always carry one of those cheapo files in my handbag.
Sanctuary Spa face mask set – £2.99 at Superdrug. I bought 2 sets! I have no idea if these are any good, but I thought I might give one of these sets to a friend.
Imperial Leather Narwhal Always Love You and Imperial Leather Drop It Like A Sloth shower gels. I found these at Poundland – 400ml each for £1 each. I’m looking forward to using these cute shower gels! 😍
And this is most of what I bought since Boxing Day. I did buy 5 nail polishes (all Revlon, £1 each at Poundland), but these have been packed up for the move as well.

Hi there! I haven’t done a haul post since early January, so let me show you what I bought since then. 🙂
I bought 3 The Body Shop shower gels – Frosted Plum, Vanilla Chai and Frosted Berries. They were £2.50 each.
The Body Shop’s Atlas Mountain Rose Body Lotion was £2, the Early Harvest Raspberry Eau de Toilette was £5, and the Fijian Water Lotus Body Lotion was £2. I’ve already reviewed the body lotions – click here.
About 10 days later I placed another TBS order. This time I bought an Italian Summer Fig shower gel (£3), an Italian Summer Fig Eau de Toilette (£6), another Early Harvest Raspberry Eau de Toilette (£5), and a Polynesian Island Tiaré shower gel (£2).
I also picked up 3 Models Own flakie polishes – the names are Golden Shore, Red Sea and Aqua Splash. The polishes were £1.49 each (Superdrug, bargain bin).
I bought 2 Dr. Organic Body Washes – Aloe Vera & Manuka Honey. These were on sale (£1 each) at Holland & Barrett.
I also picked up a Dr.Organic shampoo & conditioner combo – Aloe Vera again! And I bought Sukin’s Purifying Shampoo. These 3 products were £1 each.
I bought Garnier’s Honey Flower Cleansing Milk + Toner. These products were on special (Save 1/3 at Superdrug’s), and they were £2.29 each. Superdrug’s Cocoa Butter & Vanilla Body Scrub was £1. It looks like the entire line is going to be discontinued. 😦
I fell in love with Caolion’s charcoal face soap, and I really want to try more products with charcoal. So I bought this massive 195g Yes To Tomatoes Soap. It was £4.99 (Holland and Barrett). I picked up 3 Superdrug face masks (Manuka honey, charcoal, Dead Sea clay). These were 99p each, but there was also a 3 for 2 deal, so I paid £1.98 for these 3 masks.
I also got 2 Skin Republic Spoil Yourself With Bubbles sheet masks. They’re £4.99 each, but they were a free gift with purchase (free when you buy 3 skin care products). I received 2 sheet masks because I bought 6 skin care items. 🙂
Oh, I also bought 2 new duvet cover sets. These were £14 each (king size) and I picked them up at my local Asda store (the photos are from Asda’s web site). Yes, this isn’t beauty related, but I’m so happy with the good quality of these sets that I wanted to say… if you’re looking for new duvet cover sets, you need to swing by your local Asda – they have dozens of amazing prints!
Back to the beauty stuff! Have you tried any of these products? Or would you like to try any of these products? Feel free to let me know your thoughts. And thanks for reading!
