Skin Techniques Vitamin C Eye Serum

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Skin Techniques Vitamin C Eye Serum. This eye serum promises to repair the skin around the eyes and to improve the appearance of wrinkles and dark circles.

You’re supposed to use this product after you’ve cleansed your skin. Simply pat 1-2 drops of this eye serum around the orbital bone without pulling or stretching your skin. Then apply your regular moisturiser.

I’ve been using this eye serum for just 2 weeks now, but I like it a lot! The eye cream that I used for the past 6 (or so) months was nice, but this eye serum is much better. I love the watery formula – it’s very hydrating. The serum plays very well with my other facial products – face mist, moisturiser, make-up and so on. No issues at all!

I’ve also noticed that the skin around my eyes feels smoother. No difference in how it looks though – hey, it’s only 2 weeks. But based on the feel and the rich hydration I’m getting from this eye serum, I’m already very happy with it.

Based on my experience, I’d recommend this product. If you’re interested, Skin Techniques Vitamin C Eye Serum is available as 15ml. I paid £1.49 (B&M Bargains).

Balance Active Formula Gold Collagen Rejuvenating Serum

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Balance Active Formula Gold Collagen Rejuvenating Serum. This serum contains colloidal gold for a radiant glow and marine collagen to smooth and protect the skin. You’re supposed to use this serum twice a day. Just give the bottle a good shake and smooth the serum over your face and neck.

I’ve been using this serum for only 2 weeks now, but I can already tell that it’s quite nice. It’s a bit sticky, so I’d have to deduct an imaginary point, but I love that it’s hydrating and that it gives me a glowing complexion. I’m very happy to say that this serum kept its promise! The serum is also compatible with all the other products I’m using. There’s no balling up of anything. I’m happy to keep using this serum, and based on my experience, I’d recommend it.

If you’re interested, Balance Active Formula Gold Collagen Rejuvenating Serum is available as 30ml. I paid a ridiculous £2.99 at B&M Bargains (although the price may have gone up slightly recently).

Elizabeth Arden White Tea Ginger Lily Eau De Toilette

Hi there! Today’s post is about Elizabeth Arden White Tea Ginger Lily Eau De Toilette. I’ve been wanting to buy the original White Tea fragrance for ages – but I never did. But when I saw this White Tea Ginger Lily for half price (£21), I pounced on it! And since I liked the original White Tea, I was confident that this blind buy wouldn’t turn out to be a bad buy.

Alrighty, Elizabeth Arden White Tea Ginger Lily contains the following notes: bitter orange, bergamot, neroli and mandarin (top notes), ginger, white ginger lily and violet (heart notes), and musk, mate tea, cedar and tonka bean.

I’ve been sniffing, testing and wearing White Tea Ginger Lily for a week now, and I love it! This is definitely a summer fragrance. It’s bursting with sunny citruses and white tea. I also think it smells very similar to the original White Tea. If you own one of them, you probably don’t really need the other unless you really love the fragrance. Personally, I love this fragrance, and I’d still like to buy the original White Tea. And I’d also like to try some of the other White Tea editions.

If you’re interested, Elizabeth Arden White Tea Ginger Lily Eau De Toilette is available as 100ml for usually about £42. I bought mine for half price (£21 at allbeauty.com).

Revisiting Old Favourites – Palmolive Naturals Pampering Touch With Coconut & Moisturising Milk, Palmolive Naturals Ultra Moisturization With Olive & Moisturizing Milk

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 of my all-time favourite shower gels – Palmolive Naturals Pampering Touch With Coconut & Moisturising Milk and Palmolive Naturals Ultra Moisturization With Olive & Moisturizing Milk. I dug them up from my seemingly bottomless stash. And I was more than happy to put them in the shower.

I used Palmolive Naturals Pampering Touch With Coconut & Moisturising Milk first. This shower gel is just as I remembered it – the formula is lovely and gentle, and the fragrance is fresh and warm at the same time – which makes it suitable for all seasons, I think. This shower gel does NOT smell like coconut at all – although Palmolive changed the fragrance and the current version is coconut overload. But this oldie from a few years ago is pure bliss!

Onto Palmolive Naturals Ultra Moisturization With Olive & Moisturizing Milk which is just as wonderful. I already mentioned the amazing formula, so let’s get to the fragrance! This shower gel has a gorgeous green fragrance. It’s also fresh and warm at the same time, and I’m enjoying it so much! Fortunately, this shower gel is still around – although I’d prefer smaller bottles as the 750ml is unreasonably big!

Palmolive Naturals Pampering Touch With Coconut & Moisturising Milk used to be available as a 250ml – but it’s gone forever because of the needless change of fragrance. Palmolive Naturals Ultra Moisturization With Olive & Moisturizing Milk also used to be available as 250ml but I only ever see it as a 750ml family size now. A bottle of that size is quite a commitment for a 2-people household. I wish they still did 250ml. Ah well… hopefully, Palmolive can restore its bath and shower range to its former glory as it would mop the floor with Radox, Imperial Leather and Original Source! Fingers crossed!

Empties – December 2022

Hi there! Today’s post is about my December Empties – plus a summary of everything I used up in 2022. Let’s start with December – which has been a very bad month for Empties. I thought I’d be able to finish a bunch of skin care items – but it wasn’t meant to be. And some products seem to be self-replenishing… Onto the Empties now!

1 Jil Sander Simply Elixir Eau De Parfum – a lovely fragrance! I would be happy to buy it again!

2 Palmolive Aroma Therapy Morning Tonic – one of the best shower gels ever! Unfortunately, this one has been discontinued, and this was the last bottle from my stash. 😢

3 Dove Go Fresh Nectarine & White Ginger – my favourite Dove product ever. Another one that’s been discontinued. Very sad! But I have 2 more bottles in my stash.

4 Pantene Pro-V Miracles Lift N’ Volume Thickening Conditioner – I liked the volumising effect of the shampoo and the conditioner in the beginning, but towards the end, these products made my hair unmanageable to the extent that I woke up with what I’d call clown hair every single morning. I wash my hair every morning, so in theory this shouldn’t be a big deal, but the clown hair effect was hard to get rid of. It took me 3 washes with the original Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner to restore my hair back to its normal amazingness. For the first 2 weeks, I thought this Pantene shampoo and conditioner combo was awesome if it weren’t for the annoying scent which I didn’t like at all. However, for the last 2 weeks my hair looked so bad that even the annoying scent faded into the background.

5 Palmolive Delicate Care with Almond – this is my all-time favourite Palmolive fragrance. I haven’t seen the almond bath and shower products for a long time, but I hope Palmolive will bring them back. Please, Palmolive!!!

6 Boots Live + Be Woodland Whisper Shower Cream – this is such an amazing shower gel. I love it! Unfortunately, another discontinued gem, but I have another bottle of this shower cream, a body cream and 2 bottles of body mist with this beautiful scent.

And here’s the total for 2022:

Face Masks 45
Shower Gels, Bath Gels, Body Scrubs 45
Fragrances 22
Conditioners 14
Body, Hand & Foot Moisturisers 13
Facial Moisturisers 6
Nail Polishes 5
Toners 5
Serums 4
Face Washes & Scrubs 4
Nail Polish Removers 2
Lip Products 2
Eye Creams 2
Face Mists 2
Make-up Removers 1
Pan Stiks 1
Face Mask Tubes and Tubs 1

That’s a total of 174 products. I haven’t used as many face masks as usual. In the past, I’d often do 3 masks per week. But 2022… ouch! Well, I can definitely do much better in 2023!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you had a good start to the new year. Let’s hope it will be the best one yet! xx
