Nail Of The Day – Miss Sporty Lasting Colour 500 & Pop Rocks Scalper

Hi there! Today’s short post is about a rather simple mani I did a few days ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Miss Sport Lasting Colour 500 (2 coats). This is a beautiful shade and a quality polish. It’s a shame that the brand no longer exists.

The glitter top coat I used is Pop Rocks Scalper. This is a red-tinted jelly top coat with silver holographic glitter. I don’t use it much, but it is a cute glitter top coat.

I didn’t love this mani, but it wasn’t much of a surprise as it was a result of not having a single creative thought that day. The mani looked good enough for a few days, and that was OK. But hopefully the next mani will be more original!

Nail Of The Day – Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Full Throttle, Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 046 Shout Out Loud, Glitter & Stamping (Nail Fail)

Hi there! I’ve got a Nail Fail post for you today!

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 046 Shout Out Loud (2 coats, pinkies, ring fingers) and Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Full Throttle (2 coats, middle and index fingers, thumbs).

I used Pop Rocks Groupie to add a touch of glitter to the green nails.

And I used my new PY-J023 stamping plate for the leopard spots. I couldn’t find my beloved black Revlon polish, so I stamped with a random black polish – that’s why the images came out so poorly. Boo!

Onto the next mani!

Nail Of The Day – Galaxy Nails Feat. Rimmel, Astor, Primark & Pop Rocks

Hi there! After yesterday’s Empties post, today’s post is about a mani I did a few weeks ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Lycra Pro 416 Night Flight (1 coat). Since galaxy nails aren’t about precision or perfection, I thought I could get away with 1 coat – and I did!

Then  I used a small piece of a make-up sponge to apply small blobs of white polish (Primark PS… Nail Polish Marshmallow).

Once the white polish had dried, I sponged pink (Astor Fashion Studio 002 Cotton Candy) and blue (Rimmel 60 Seconds 825 Sky High) polish onto the white areas on my nails.

And once the colour polishes had dried, I applied 1 coat of holographic glitter top coat (Pop Rocks With The Band) to add stars to the galaxies.

I liked this mani a lot. Whilst I’ve done better galaxy nails in the past, I did like the addition of a “proper” holo top coat. 🙂
