Best Of Beauty 2019 – TOP 11 Face Masks

Hi there! Today’s post is about some of my favourite beauty products from 2019. There will be 3 posts altogether – this one’s about face masks only because I’ve tried so many amazing face masks. The top 11 are in no particular order, but if you keep reading I’ll tell you my top 3! OK, let’s start!

The Crème Shop Holiday Cheer & Clear “Naughty” Clarifying Face Mask

This face mask is simply wonderful – it helps with impurities and it’s hydrating!

The Crème Shop Turmeric Face Mask

This sheet mask with turmeric brightens the skin – actual results are visible within minutes!

Sukin Anti Pollution Oil Balancing + Charcoal Facial Masque

Sukin’s charcoal mask is very powerful! Outstanding stuff!

SpaLife Hydrating Facial Mask

This SpaLife sheet mask is insanely hydrating. Amazing for very dry skin!

Valjean Labs Glow Face Mask

Valjean Labs’ Glow Face Mask delivers on its “glow” promise. Truly great stuff!

Maxbrands Luxurious Gold Mask / Peel-Off Face Mask

This is the most powerful peel off mask I’ve ever tried. It sucks blackheads right out your pores. No other peel off mask comes close. This is one of my TOP 3 masks this year!

Primark PS… Plumping Sheet Mask With Vitamin E

Primark’s Vitamin E Sheet Mask is a superhero! I love it!

Beauty Formulas Charcoal Detoxifying Bubble Mask

The best bubble mask I’ve ever tried is from one of the UK’s cheapest skin care brands!

Skin Treats Unicorn Hydrating Sheet Mask

Skin Treats did an amazing job with its original unicorn sheet mask which is perfect for very dry skin. The unicorn mask is the cutest printed sheet mask ever! Those eyelashes! Those nostrils! Squeeeee!

Bioré Charcoal Whipped Purifying Detox Mask

This is the best face mask I’ve tried in 2019. It’s… WOW!

Primark PS… Smoothing Dead Sea Mask

This is the second best face mask I tried all year. It’s also… WOW!

Have you tried any of these face masks? Would you like to try any of them – if so, which ones? Which face masks would you recommend? Feel free to get in touch via the comments.

Oh, and if you’re wondering why I’m doing my best of 2019 posts in January 2020… I didn’t want to mess up my normal blogging schedule, and I also didn’t want to leave out potential December favourites – 1 December favourite is featured in this post, and there are 2 more to come in the next Best Of Beauty 2019 posts! 🥰

Empties – July 2019

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I emptied last month. I’m not doing a big intro, but let me say that I finished quite a few products. Please have a look! 🙂

1-4 Ted Baker Toiletries (travel sizes) – whilst I’m grateful to have received a Ted Baker toiletries gift set from a friend, I would not purchase these products for myself.

5 Imperial Leather Polynesian Spa Passion Flower & Almond Milk Spa Escape Shower Cream – a nice enough shower gel. But I won’t repurchase it because it’s nothing special. This is a shared empty because my husband used this shower gel too.

6 Sukin Anti-Pollution Oil Balancing + Charcoal Facial Masque – this is a great face mask. I’d love to repurchase it!

7 The Crème Shop Depuffing + Anti-Imflammatory Rose Oil Overnight Gel Mask – I enjoyed this product a lot. I might repurchase it (I say might because there are so many other night creams I want to try first…)

8 Nivea Free Time Shower Cream – I liked this shower cream a lot, and I would like to buy it again!

9 Radox Eastern Spirit Shower Gel – this is a nice shower gel. I’d buy it again, but I haven’t seen it in a while. I guess it was discontinued… This one’s a shared empty – my husband used and enjoyed this shower gel too!

10 Superdrug Refreshing Foaming Facial Wash For Normal Skin – this is an OK face wash. It’s been discontinued, but I wouldn’t repurchase it anyway.

11 Rimmel Lycra Pro 436 White Bright – good enough as a base coat, but I wouldn’t repurchase this polish.

12 MUA Lipstick Shade 11 – this is one of the best natural-yet-not-nude lipsticks out there. It’s a true “my lips but better” shade for me. With the help of a lip brush I was able to get every last bit of product out of the bullet! I have a backup, and I will review this lippie shortly. 😊

13 Yves Rocher Nourishing Lip Balm Framboise – I enjoyed this lip balm a lot. Since YR ceased trading in the UK, I don’t think I’ll (be able to) buy this one again.

14 Max Factor Pan Stik 25 Fair – my holy grail foundation!

15 Anovia Healthy Shine Bamboo & Lotus Conditioner – this is an average conditioner that I won’t repurchase.

16 Carex Original Shower Gel – I’ll review this one shortly! This is another shared empty.

17 Palmolive Welcome To Madagascar Forest – another amazing shower gel from Palmolive. This one’s definitely worth buying again. By the way, this one’s another shared empty.

I’ve also used a few single-use face masks. I never keep the empty sachets, but you can read my latest face mask reviews if you click here. All in all, I’m happy with the stuff I emptied this month. Whilst more than half the products I emptied were small items, I’m glad to have finished those, and I’m thrilled (!) that I managed to say goodbye to a few more shower gels (the Radox and Carex ones took ages to finish even though my husband helped). What have you emptied recently? Feel free to comment, and thanks for stopping by!

January Beauty Awards

Hi there! It’s the last day of the month, so it’s time for me to tell you about my favourite products in January. I’ve chosen my favourites from all the products I’ve reviewed this month. And here they are:

3rd place – Sukin Anti-Pollution Oil Balancing + Charcoal Facial Masque

Sukin did an amazing job with this bamboo charcoal face mask. Results after the first use = great stuff!

Runner-Up – Gliss Hair Repair Total Repair Shampoo & Conditioner

This is one of Gliss’ best hair care combos. The shampoo is super soft and gentle, and the conditioner is incredibly effective. I love these 2 products!

WINNER – The Crème Shop Turmeric Face Mask

This mask is simply amazing. Yes, it does brighten skin, it is soothing, and the results are visible almost instantly. 11 stars!

Onto the honourable mentions! Derma V10‘s Cocoa Body Butter is pretty awesome, Treacle Moon‘s Honeycomb Secret Bath & Shower Gel is wonderful, my skin loved Nivea‘s Honey Mask, I enjoyed my Boo Bamboo Face Masks, and The Crème Shop‘s Santa’s List Charcoal Face Mask was super lovely too.

Have you tried any of these products? Would you like to try any of them? Which products have you been loving lately? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Sukin Anti-Pollution Oil Balancing + Charcoal Facial Masque

Hi there! Today’s post is about Sukin‘s Anti Pollution Oil Balancing + Charcoal Facial Masque. This face mask contains bamboo charcoal, moringa extract, willowherb, aloe vera, rooibos tea, as well as quince, bilberry and pomegranate extracts, and coconut, avocado and rosehip oils.

It promises to absorb toxins for a deep cleanse, to revitalise and refresh skin, and to tighten pores and reduce shine for a balanced complexion.

This mask is eays to use – apply it your face, leave it on for 15 minutes, then wash it off. I’ve used this mask for a few times now, and here’s what I think. 🙂

I think Sukin did an amazing job with this mask. I didn’t expect much because I couldn’t “feel” the mask doing its magic. However, when I washed my face, I was seriously impressed! My skin looked and felt super clean without being dry, my skin tone looked more even, and my pores were much smaller. I get this effect every time I use this mask, and I can definitely see myself picking up another tub once this one’s finished.

I would recommend this face mask to everyone who wants clearer skin. Since this mask works well for my very dry and moody skin, I would also recommend this mask to people with similar skin types.

Sukin‘s Anti Pollution Oil Balancing + Charcoal Facial Masque is available as 100ml. I paid £5.99 (TK Maxx).

Haul! New Products From Boots, Montagne Jeunesse, TK Maxx, L’Oréal, Sukin, Una Brennan, Alberto Balsam & My Little Pony

Hi there! Today’s post is about the new products I bought in July. Here they are:

Boots Ingredients sheet masks are £2.50 each. But Boots ran a 4 for £3 promotion (Online only!), so I had to buy 4. I would have been stupid not to take advantage of the offer! I opted for 2 Luminous Youth masks (had them before, loved them), 1 Super Hyaluronic mask, and 1 Cleansing & Purifying mask.

I thought Montagne Jeunesse did masks (face, hair and foot masks) only. So I was surprised to find 2 body moisturisers at my local Poundworld store. I got a Buriti Fruit Body Smoothie and a Goji Berry Body Smoothie. £1 each.

I was happy to pick up a L’Oréal Elvive Smooth & Polish Thermo Detangling Spray for £1 (Poundland). And I got myself an Ekél Natural Clean Peeling Gel with Grape (£4.99, TK Maxx) and a Skinfood Mud Masque (£4.99, TK Maxx).

Two more Sukin products moved in with me! Sukin’s Clarifying Facial Tonic was £4.99 and Sukin’s Anti-Pollution Facial Masque was £5.99. The OM SHE Aromatherapy Skin Lift Hydrating Face Serum was £4.99. These 3 products came from TK Maxx.

And these are the last 3 products: Super Facialist By Una Brennan Pore Purifying Clay Mask (£4.99, TK Maxx), Alberto Balsam Colour Bright Detangler + UV Filter and My Little Pony Leave-In Hair Detangler. The 2 detangling sprays came from Poundworld, and they were £1 each.

This is what I bought in July. Lots of masks, I know! I’ll try to review all these products asap. Any comments? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for reading! 🙂
