Sanex Organic Agave Calming Shower Gel

Hi there! Today’s post is about this relatively new Sanex Organic Agave Calming Shower Gel.

I haven’t used Sanex shower gels in absolute ages – has it been 15 years? Well, I saw this cute looking shower gel at Sainsbury’s, and it was half price, so I picked it up with my weekly shop.

Fast forward a few weeks, and here I am, absolutely in love with this shower gel! Let me tell you why. 🙂

This shower gel smells… wonderful. The fragrance is completely unspectacular but sooo lovely at the same time. It smells like a mix of shaving foam and Westlab’s stellar Himalayan Salt Cleansing Bath & Shower Gel. 😍

But the most important aspect is, of course, how brilliant it is for my skin.

I have moody skin which is very dry and sometimes itchy, and I have random eczema outbreaks all the time. I am dealing with a rather itchy eczema situation right now. However, when I use this shower gel, I have no urge to scratch at all! 😍 That’s 11 stars for this incredible shower gel!

Based on my experience, I would recommend this shower gel. I will buy it again, no doubt. This one is now a regular purchase for me. If you’re interested, Sanex Organic Agave Calming Shower Gel is available as 225ml for £3. I paid £1.50 (a rare half price offer, Sainsbury’s).

Asda Mandarin And Lemongrass Extract Shower Gel, Asda Pomegranate And Apple Extract Shower Gel

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 shower gels that I picked up from my local Asda the other day – Asda Mandarin and Lemongrass Extract Shower Gel and Asda Pomegranate and Apple Extract Shower Gel. Read on to see if they’re any good.

Asda Mandarin and Lemongrass Extract Shower Gel is not my favourite. Looking at the description, I was expecting a fragrance that would be right up my street. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of the mandarin and lemongrass mix – which just doesn’t smell good. I wish I had sniffed this one in store instead of buying it with my weekly grocery shop. If I had taken a sniff, I wouldn’t have bought this. I use it once or twice a week now, and hopefully it will be finished soon.

Asda Pomegranate and Apple Extract Shower Gel is alright. This shower gel has a generic-but-not-unpleasant fruity smell when I sniff the shower gel from the bottle. But it loses its fragrance almost completely between being squeezed out of the bottle and making contact with my skin – which only takes a few moments. The shower gel lathers up nicely, and it’s not drying. Overall, it’s not a terrible shower gel, but it’s also not really great. I guess it’s in line with what can reasonably be expected for the very low price.

Asda Mandarin and Lemongrass Extract Shower Gel and Asda Pomegranate and Apple Extract Shower Gel are available as 250ml for 45p each. It’s obvious they are cheap shower gels. I wouldn’t recommend them, and I wouldn’t buy them again.

Palmolive Thermal Spa Pampering Oil Shower Gel With Macadamia Oil

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Palmolive Thermal Spa Pampering Oil Shower Gel With Macadamia Oil.

I’ve been a long-term fan of Palmolive. Sadly, they have discontinued so many of my favourite products.

The Palmolive products I see in store now are either with coconut or honey. I don’t like coconut, so am giving those a pass. Unfortunately, the honey products smell like coconut too. 🤢

But when I saw this cute looking shower gel at Poundland the other day, I picked it up immediately.

I used this shower gel this morning, and I think it’s lovely. It’s still quite cold in the UK, and the warm and comforting macadamia fragrance of this shower gel has put a smile on my face.

The formula of the shower gel is lovely too. It feels rich and nourishing in comparison to most shower gels. I’m really happy with it, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Palmolive Thermal Spa Pampering Oil Shower Gel With Macadamia Oil is available as 250ml and 400ml. I have the 250ml, and I paid £1 (Poundland), and I’ve seen the 400ml for £1.75 at Superdrug the other day (not sure if the offer is still on though).

Nivea Miracle Garden Soft Care Shower With Orange & Lily Of The Valley Scent

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Nivea Miracle Garden Soft Care Shower With Orange & Lily Of The Valley Scent which I found at Superdrug.

I always look at what’s on special before I look at my regulars or at anything else. And this cute looking shower gel – which was half price – caught my eye. I took a sniff and liked it right away, so I bought it.

I’ve been using this shower gel for a few days now, and I love it. I think this is the good old Nive Happy Time fragrance, or it’s very similar.

Sadly, I cannot be more specific as I haven’t seen or bought Nivea Happy Time (or Nivea Orange, its other name) for a very long time. None of my local stores have it. And even though I add it to my grocery order all the time as well, I always end up getting a refund for it as it’s never available.

This beautiful shower gel is, sadly, a limited edition. I would love to make it a regular purchase, but it’s not meant to be. At least I have a big bottle. The fragrance is just too good – sunny, yellow, refreshing but gentle. It’s perfect for the spring and summer months. The caring formula is lovely too. My husband likes to use this shower gel as well. He appreciates the moisturising formula, but he also likes the scent. Well, he has good taste in toiletries and fragrances, so I didn’t expect anything else.

Nivea Miracle Garden Soft Care Shower With Orange & Lily Of The Valley Scent is available as 500ml. I bought this shower for half price – it was about £2.50.

Cussons Creations You’re Having A Giraffe Apricot & Jungle Papaya Limited Edition Shower Gel

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Cussons Creations You’re Having A Giraffe Apricot & Jungle Papaya Limited Edition Shower Gel.

A little while ago, I bought the shower gel, the hand wash and the bath soak together. I have gone through several bottles of the hand wash by now, but I didn’t manage to use the shower gel until now as I had some older products to finish first.

But I’ve been using this shower gel for the past week. And here’s what I think.

This is a wonderful shower gel. It smells like the cutest mix of apricots and papayas. It’s a fruity, sunny, bright, refreshing and yellow scent. It’s not a sugary scent. Whilst it’s super fruity, this shower gel will be perfect for the hottest summer days.

This is the shower gel version of the summer holiday fruit cocktail that you’ve been longing for all winter.

I would totally recommend this shower gel. It’s one of the best new shower gels from the past few years. Sadly, it’s a limited edition. Cussons Creations You’re Having A Giraffe Apricot & Jungle Papaya Limited Edition Shower Gel is available as 250ml, and there is also a 500ml Bath Soak and a 500ml Hand Wash.

Cussons Creations Bee Happy Orange Blossom & Lemon Drops Limited Edition Shower Gel

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Cussons Creations Bee Happy Orange Blossom & Lemon Drops Limited Edition Shower Gel.

A few months ago, I bought this shower gel and the matching hand wash. I never got around to use the shower gel until this month. But let’s look at it now.

I think this is a nice shower gel. However, with its strong orange blossom scent which some perceive as (borderline) bitter, and with a note of candied lemons, this will not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Personally, I like the shower gel, but I don’t love it. Whilst I enjoy its freshness, it does make me feel like I’m using hand wash in the shower. To be fair, I’ve gone through several bottles of the matching hand wash, so it’s obvious how I make that connection. But also, this is really more of a fragrance that I associate with a hand soap or maybe even with a fabric conditioner.

All in all, this is a nice shower gel, but I would recommend that you give it a sniff before you buy it. Cussons Creations Bee Happy Orange Blossom & Lemon Drops Limited Edition Shower Gel is available as 250ml. And there is also a matching 500ml Cussons Creations Bee Happy Orange Blossom & Lemon Drops Limited Edition Hand Wash. These 2 products are £1 each at most stores.

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Fruity Ginger Bread Limited Edition Shower Gel

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Superdrug Fruity Ginger Bread Limited Edition Shower Gel. This is from the Christmas collection, obviously!

There were 2 shower gels to choose from. The other one didn’t sound like it was meant for me – I think it was cranberry, but I don’t really remember. This gingerbread shower gel did look like it was worth a try.

I started to use this shower gel in January, and I’ve been using it on and off since then. This is a really nice shower gel. It could be a bit less runny, but it’s not too bad.

I like the fragrance which is warm, slightly spicy, and simply perfect for the colder months. I love using this shower gel on a cold morning. The lovely scent helps me warm up.

I would recommend this shower gel. It’s not overly christmassey. It’s more like an everyday shower gel for cold autumn and winter days in general.

If you’re interested, Superdrug Fruity Ginger Bread Limited Edition Shower Gel is available as 250ml. The regular price is £1.89, but I picked it up for half price. 😉 Superdrug often runs half price or BOGOF promos for their own brand products, so no need to pay more.

Also, this fragrance is vegan and certified cruelty-free. It carries THE Leaping Bunny logo!

Imperial Leather Gold Goddess Radiant Florals & Golden Nectar Body Wash

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Imperial Leather Gold Goddess Radiant Florals & Golden Nectar Body Wash.

This shower gel was a blind buy. It was £1 at Sainsbury’s not long ago.

I’ve been using this shower gel for a few days now, and I think it’s very good. The fragrance is rather enjoyable. Of course, it’s not the best thing ever, but I do like the yellow floral, honey and sunshine fragrance. It’s very welcome on cold mornings.

I love the formula. It’s very rich and luxurious, and it does feel like nectar on the skin. But if you have dry skin like me, you still need to use a body lotion! If Imperial Leather made body lotions, I would definitely pick up a Gold Goddess one!

I would recommend this shower gel. Imperial Leather Gold Goddess Radiant Florals & Golden Nectar Body Wash is available as 250ml. I paid £1 (Nectar offer).

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Original Source Laid-Back Lavender & Tea Tree Shower

Hi there! Today’s post is about a new shower gel which I picked up on special just the other day, and it is Original Source Laid-Back Lavender & Tea Tree Shower.

I haven’t smelled this shower gel before. I saw it for a discount, and I ordered it with my usual grocery shop.

When it arrived, I gave it a sniff. And immediately, I didn’t care for it. A few days later, I gave it a try. And immediately, I hated it. I didn’t realise that it contained tea tree (my fault).

So I was in the shower, rubbing one of the worst-smelling shower gels ever into my skin, thinking about how to describe that smell… Well, I would say this shower gel smells herbal, sharp and dirty, almost fungal.

I let my husband try it, and he hated it just as much. He offered to use it up, but I declined. So as not to be wasteful, I squeezed this shower gel into the hand wash dispenser.

If you love this kind of fragrance in a shower gel, that’s great! We really didn’t like it all, so maybe the takeaway here is that this shower gel is not safe for a blind buy, and I would recommend that you try it before you buy it.

If you’re interested, Original Source Laid-Back Lavender & Tea Tree Shower is available as 250ml I paid £1.50.

Lux Velvet Touch Soap With SilkEssence TM & Jasmine & Almond Oil

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Lux Velvet Touch Soap With SilkEssence TM & Jasmine & Almond Oil. I’ve previously tried a Lux soap, and I liked it very much. So of course I wanted to give this one a try too.

I think I’ve used up half the bar by now, and I like it very much. The fresh floral fragrance is absolutely lovely – I think it would be universally liked by lots of people, regardless of their age. I’m also happy to report that this soap is just as brilliant at cleansing the skin as the rose scented Lux soap. So yes, this is another soap that I’m mainly using after a sweaty workout.

I know I’ll buy this amazing soap again! If you’re interested, Lux Velvet Touch Soap With SilkEssence TM & Jasmine & Almond Oil is available as 100g. I paid 49p (Savers).
