Sanctuary Spa Mestizo Acai Rain Shower

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Sanctuary Spa Mestizo Acai Rain Shower gel which I’ve been using on and off for a few weeks now.

This is a limited edition Sanctuary Spa shower gel with an interesting subtitle – “bursting Brazilian vitality”.

This shower gel contains a number of fabulous extracts and oils – apple, acai berry, argan oil, citrus essential oils, mangosteen, pomegranate and passionfruit.

It’s also packed with small oil pearls which burst on the skin and give a little extra hydration. Lovely!

And what’s this shower gel like? It’s paradise in a bottle! It smells absolutely amazing – like a tropical rainforest, exotic flowers and fruits, and despite this, it smells like nothing I’ve ever smelled before – and there’s no cheap coconut or pineapple.

I think this shower gel is simply amazing, and I find it unbelievable that this sensational fragrance was wasted on a limited edition while, at the same time, Sanctuary Spa keeps making these forgettable lemon and orange blossom products.

I also used to have the matching body butter – and I forgot how amazing it was. I hope this fragrance will eventually be recycled for a future limited edition. If so, I’ll make sure to stock up on shower gels and body butters. Fingers crossed!

Yves Rocher Vanille Blanche / White Vanilla Bath & Shower Gel, Perfumed Body Lotion, Hand Cream

Hi there! Today’s post is about Yves Rocher‘s Vanille Blanche / White Vanilla Bath & Shower Gel, Perfumed Body Lotion and Hand Cream. I bought these products when they went on sale after Christmas.

I’m pretty sure this collection is sold out now, but Yves Rocher seems to be doing the same 2 collections almost every Christmas (it’s usually vanilla and berries), so they might recycle these fragrances for this year’s festive season. Who knows…

Onto the review! Yves Rocher‘s Vanille Blanche / White Vanilla Bath & Shower Gel is lovely. I would describe the fragrance as a mix of snow and vanilla. The shower gel is gentle and not drying at all, and I’m very happy with it.

Yves Rocher‘s Vanille Blanche / White Vanilla Perfumed Body Lotion smells just as lovely as the shower gel. I also love the light formula. It’s not the most suitable body lotion for dry skin, but it absorbs in no time without leaving a sticky film behind. I think this is the perfect body lotion for when you’re in a hurry.

Yves Rocher‘s Vanille Blanche / White Vanilla Hand Cream is my favourite of the bunch! This is the perfect hand cream. It feels instantly nourishing, but it doesn’t feel sticky at all. It makes my hands feel super soft, but it doesn’t feel like “product”. The cute snowy vanilla fragrance is the icing on the cake. Awesome stuff!

If you’re interested in Yves Rocher products, you have to look online since, unfortunately, Yves Rocher ceased trading in the UK 2 weeks ago.

Reducing My Oldies Stash – Sanctuary Spa Kyphi 24-Hour Moisturising Shower Cream & Nourishing Body Butter

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 products which I’ll miss dearly when they’re gone – Sanctuary Spa Kyphi 24-Hour Moisturising Shower Cream & Sanctuary Spa Kyphi Nourishing Body Butter.

Sanctuary Spa Kyphi 24-Hour Moisturising Shower Cream is one of the best shower products I’ve used all year. It cleanses my skin, but it also makes my skin feel super soft. I love it! The oriental fragrance is simply gorgeous – it’s dark, feminine and positively addictive. This product deserves 11 stars!

Sanctuary Spa Kyphi Nourishing Body Butter with sweet almond oil, shea butter and argan oil is a perfect 11 too! This body butter is one of the richest body butters that I’ve ever tried. However, this body butter is absorbed quickly, and it doesn’t feel sticky at all. The fragrance is 100% gorgeous and longlasting. This body butter is simply perfect!

Unfortunately, Sanctuary Spa Kyphi 24-Hour Moisturising Shower Cream & Sanctuary Spa Kyphi Nourishing Body Butter have been discontinued and replaced with lesser products. 😦

100% Cruelty-Free – Dr. Organic Aloe Vera Body Wash & Manuka Honey Body Wash

Hi there! Today’s post is about Dr. Organic‘s Aloe Vera Body Wash & Manuka Honey Body Wash. I’ve already reviewed Dr. Organic’s Aloe Vera hair products, and if you’d like to read that review, click here. Now, without further ado, onto the body washes!

Dr. Organic‘s Aloe Vera Body Wash is average. The faint aloe vera and lemon fragrance isn’t unpleasant, but very forgettable. I’ve noticed that this shower gel isn’t very cleansing. It’s definitely not for your post-workout shower…

Dr. Organic‘s Manuka Honey Body Wash is disappointing. Whilst it smells wonderful from the bottle, the fragrance changes as soon as the shower gel hits the skin. I’d describe the fragrance as… warm plastic! And just like the aloe vera shower gel, this one isn’t very cleansing. If you’re sweaty, use something else!

All in all, I wouldn’t recommend these shower gels. I wanted to love them, but they’re not great. If you’d like to try them, Dr. Organic Aloe Vera Body Wash & Manuka Honey Body Wash are available as 75ml and 250ml. I paid £1 each for the small travel size bottles (special offer).

Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Scrub, Body Wash, Body Lotion & Body Butter

Hi there! Today’s post is about a number of vanilla-scented products from Boots’ Extracts collection. I’ve already reviewed Boots’ Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Spray, so it was time to take a closer look at the matching body care products. 🙂

Let’s start with Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Scrub! I’ve tried a number of body scrubs from Boots, and this one is quite similar. This means that this scrub is on the gentler side. I’m satisfied that it exfoliates my skin, but I prefer grittier scrubs for my body. Having said that, I think this body scrub smells awesome!

Up next is Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Wash! I think this is a nice shower gel. It smells lovely and it’s not drying. Boots did a great job with this one.

Onto Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Lotion! This is a great little body lotion for when you’re in a hurry. It’s absorbed in no time, and it makes skin feel soft and hydrated all day. And the sweet and cuddly fragrance is an added bonus.

And last but not least… Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Butter. This is, without doubt, one of the best vanilla body butters out there. It feels nourishing, it’s not tacky at all, and, you guessed it, it makes your skin smell delicious! Well done, Boots!

Boots’ Extracts collection seems to be disappearing from the stores. The manager at my local store told me the entire line is getting a makeover. Let’s hope this is true!

Have you tried any Boots Extracts products? Which fragrance do you like best? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂

The Body Shop Frosted Plum, Vanilla Chai & Frosted Berries Shower Gels

Hi there! Today’s post is about 3 shower gels that I picked up during the winter sale in January – The Body Shop Frosted Plum, Vanilla Chai and Frosted Berries.

Let’s start with The Body Shop Frosted Plum! I think this is a pretty basic shower gel. It lathers up well, but it feels drying. And the plum fragrance is rather faint. I will finish this shower gel, but I wouldn’t repurchase it.

The Body Shop Vanilla Chai is very nice. I’d describe the fragrance as a boozy mix of herbal tea and vanilla. My husband likes this shower gel (which is actually more of a shower cream) too!

The Body Shop Frosted Berries is just as drying as the plum shower gel. The berry fragrance is super lovely, but, unfortunately, quite faint.

Based on my experience I would recommend the Vanilla Chai shower gel. I would repurchase this one if TBS brings it back for Christmas and if it’s on sale after Christmas. But I wouldn’t recommend or repurchase the other 2 shower gels.

The Body Shop Frosted Plum, Vanilla Chai and Frosted Berries are available as 250ml. I paid £2.50 each (winter sale).

Reducing My Oldies Stash – Yves Rocher Les Plaisirs Nature Organic Raspberry Shower Gel & Silky Lotion

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing 2 products that have been sitting in my stash for quite some time – Yves Rocher Les Plaisirs Nature Organic Raspberry Shower Gel & Silky Lotion. 🙂

The shower gel is simply amazing. It leaves my skin feeling cleansed but not stripped. And the fragrance is the most wonderful sweet and juicy raspberry fragrance. Awesome stuff!
YR PN Raspberry
The silky lotion is pretty much perfect as well. It smells just as great as the shower gel. And I love the formula – the body lotion is quick and easy to apply, and it melts into the skin (great for workday mornings). I love it!

I think these 2 products are sensational. Because of this I’m sad that Yves Rocher discontinued the entire raspberry collection. However, it appears that Yves Rocher seems to reinvent the Les Plaisirs Nature collection every couple of months – so I hope they’ll reintroduce the raspberry collection. If they do, I’ll be stocking up! 🙂

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Protecting Hand Cream, Soothing & Caring Shower Cream And Body Butter

Hi there! Today’s post is about 3 products that were gifted to me – The Body Shop‘s Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Protecting Hand Cream, Soothing & Caring Shower Cream and Body Butter. These products are aimed at people with sensitive or dry skin.

I tried the hand cream first – and I liked it a lot! The hand cream feels nourishing, and it makes my skin feel super soft for hours. The almond milk and honey fragrance is sweet and warm – just lovely!

The shower cream is quite unusual because it’s pretty much like a cream! It feels nourishing, but it doesn’t really lather up, and it doesn’t feel very cleansing. But it smells great!

The body butter doesn’t smell as good as the hand cream or the shower cream, but it’s quick and easy to use because it melts into the skin. Having said that, this body butter isn’t as nourishing as I expected. After 12 hours the skin on my legs felt dry (the rest of my body was OK though).

I’m happy that I got the chance to test these products. However, I wouldn’t buy them for myself. Whilst the hand cream is great, I wouldn’t pay £5 for such a tiny tube!

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey hand cream is available as 30ml, the shower cream is available as 60ml and 250ml, and the body butter is available as 50ml and 200ml.

100% Awesome – Flower Pharm Wild Rose Body Wash, Body Scrub & Body Butter

Hi there! Today’s post is about Flower Pharm’s Wild Rose Body Wash, Body Scrub and Body Butter. It’s been some time since I bought my Flower Pharm Wild Rose gift set (Asda, £5). But when I saw a similar Flower Pharm set (same contents, slightly different packaging) at my local Tesco store the other day (I thought these products were discontinued – ?!), I knew I should finally try the products that I already have!

I have reviewed the body butter (which I have a big tub of) some time ago, and you can read my review here. In summary, this body butter is amazing! It’s rich, but not sticky. It feels great on my skin and it makes my skin feel great. I love it! And instead of mineral oil and synthetic fragrances, it contains coconut oil and real Damascus rose flower water. This body butter is fantastic!
Flower Pharm Wild Rose
The body scrub is very nice and effective. It contains pecan shell powder but it feels like a sea salt scrub. Great stuff! In addition, this body scrub contains sweet almond oil and shea butter – I guess this is why this scrub makes my skin feel so soft and conditioned. The body wash is wonderful. It’s a clear gel that lathers up nicely and cleanses my skin gently. It smells lovely and it doesn’t feel drying at all. Well done, Flower Pharm!

If you’re wondering what the fragrance is like… it’s a charmingly old-fashioned and pure rose fragrance. And it doesn’t have that sweaty note that most rose fragrances seem to have nowadays. This is the kind of rose I’d like to smell in all rose-scented products. So yes, I would recommend Flower Pharm’s Wild Rose collection! As Flower Pharm’s products seem to be stocked by the most random stores, you should check if your local supermarket, drugstore or bargain store has them. You won’t be disappointed by Flower Pharm products, I promise!

Flower Pharm Wild Rose Body Butter

Hi there! Today’s post is about a product which, unfortunately, has been discontinued. It’s this lovely Flower Pharm Wild Rose Body Butter. I’ve seen different products from this brand in TK Maxx (about £3) and Home Bargains (99p to £1.99) recently, so if you fancy trying this body butter, you should swing by your local discount stores. But before you rush out, let me tell you what this product’s actually like. 🙂
Flower Pharm Wild Rose
I think it’s super easy to rub this body butter into my skin. The formula is lovely, the butter melts into my skin and it’s not too sticky. Well done, Flower Pharm! The fragrance is beautiful and charmingly old-fashioned – just like wild roses!

I checked the ingredients and this body butter appears to contain more quality ingredients than other comparable products. So instead of mineral oil and the likes, this body butter contains lots of coconut oil (it’s the second ingredient listed – after water), and it contains real rosa damascena (Damascus rose) flower water!

I’ve only used this body butter for a few days, but it seems to have made a difference already. My skin feels very soft and silky. And my semi-permanent eczema patch on my shin isn’t half as itchy as usual.

I think Flower Pharm’s Wild Rose Butter is absolutely fantastic, so I can’t understand why the entire line has been discontinued. Seriously, what were they thinking? I’ll definitely buy a few more tubs from my local Home Bargains store this weekend!
