June Beauty Awards

Hi there! It’s the last working day of the month. This means that today’s post is about all the products I loved the most this month. I picked my top 3 from all the products I reviewed in June, and there are a few honourable mentions as well. Let’s start with the top 3!

3rd place – Miss Sporty Lipliners 007 Slow, 013 Coconut, 014 Earth

I enjoy using these lipliners. They can also be used as matte lipsticks, and they look amazing with gloss on top!

Runner-Up – Balance Active Formula Vitamin C Brightening Serum

This vitamin C serum is one of the best serums I’ve ever tried. I think Balance did an amazing job with this one!

WINNER – Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads

These glycolic acid cleansing pads are absolutely fantastic. I’ve enjoyed them very much, and I’ll repurchase them soon!

Onto the honourable mentions! I liked Garnier’s Skin Active Matcha + Kaolin Mask and The Crème Shop’s Holiday Cheer And Clear “Nice” Stay In Control Face Mask.

Nivea’s Free Time and Harmony Time Shower Creams are very enjoyable, the two Body-X shower gels I tried are lovely, and Superdrug’s B. Soft Multi Acid Retexturising Pads are great too.

Have you tried any of these products? Would you like to try them? Feel free to comment, and thanks for reading! 😊

The Battle Of The Glycolic Acid Cleansing Pads – Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads VS Superdrug B. Soft Multi Acid Retexturising Pads

Hi there! Today’s post is a product comparison. Not too long ago I purchased Superdrug‘s Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads and Superdrug‘s B. Soft Multi Acid Retexturising Pads. It’s obvious these come from the same supplier, and the majority of the ingredients are identical. However, these products aren’t the same!

Superdrug‘s Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads are pretty awesome. They promise to awaken skin’s natural glow and to improve skin tone and texture.

I’m always using at least 1 brightening product, so it’s not always easy to determine which product does what. However, these cleansing pads are really something! I’m satisfied they maintained my skin’s brightness, and an improvement in my skin texture could be felt after a single use. In case you’re wondering, I used these 5 times a week (on the tub it says these can be used twice daily, but I didn’t want to over-exfoliate).

Superdrug‘s B. Soft Multi Acid Retexturising Pads do essentially the same thing. I have no doubt they work jus as well because the difference in ingredients is minimal. However, they don’t feel as powerful. I think there are 2 reasons for this:

1. the Naturally Radiant pads have a strong scent that matches the power of the product. The B. pads aren’t fragranced.
2. whilst the B. pads are moist, the Naturally Radiant pads are wet, so it feels like you’re getting more out of them.

All in all, these are great products, but the Naturally Radiant cleansing pads are the winners of The Battle Of The Glycolic Acid Cleansing Pads. I will repurchase the Naturally Radiant pads, no doubt! Superdrug‘s Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads and Superdrug‘s B. Soft Multi Acid Retexturising Pads are available in tubs with 60 pads each. They’re usually £5.99 each, but I paid £2.99 each (half price offer).

Empties – May 2019

Hi there! It’s already the 3rd of June, so it’s time for my May Empties post. As always, I used a number of single use face masks. I didn’t keep the empty sachets, but if you’re interested, you can click here to read about my latest face mask finds. Without further ado, onto the big bottles, tubes and tubs! 😎

1 Nourish Balance Refining Toning Mist – I didn’t love this face mist, and I won’t be buying it again.

2 Palmolive Aroma Moments Just Fabulous – this is a lovely shower gel that I will buy again, no doubt! My husband used this shower gel too, so this is a shared empty.

3 Treacle Moon The Honeycomb Secret – another amazing shower gel from Treacle Moon. Another shower gel that I will repurchase.

4 Boots Botanics Skin Brightening Deep Clean Gel – this is one of my all-time favourite face washes. Unfortunately, it’s been discontinued ages ago, and this was the last tube I had. 😪

5 Beautifully Scrumptious Almond Body Butter – this is a nice body butter that I might pick up again.

6 Aussie Mega Conditioner – this is one of the best conditioners I’ve ever used. It’s not as good as the original Herbal Essences conditioners, but nothing comes close to those really. In any event, I will repurchase this conditioner (and the matching shampoo) for sure!

7 Original Source Passionfruit and Jojoba Milk Shower Milk – this is a nice shower gel that I might buy again.

8 Pantene Pro-V Youth Protect Rejuvenating Intensive Conditioner – one of Pantene’s best hair products! I would buy this deep conditioner again!

9 Superdrug Cranberry & Pomegranate Body Butter – this body butter was much older than I’d care to admit. It smelled and looked perfect, but I didn’t want to use it on my body – so I decided to use it on my feet instead. It did a great job! This body butter has been discontinued ages ago, and repurchasing it would be impossible!

10 Nivea Age Defying Q10 Hand Cream – a great hand cream! I have a few more of these in my stash!

11 Maybelline Eyeliner Chestnut (x2) – these are nice eyeliners. Now that I’ve finished these 2, I think I just have 2 or 3 more in my stash.

12 Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads – I’ll be reviewing these very shortly! 😊

13 Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Buff – a simple and unspectacular nothing colour. I used this one as a base coat. I wouldn’t buy this polish again.

I’m happy with what I finished in May! Which products have you said goodbye to recently? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for reading! 😘
