Nail Of The Day – Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Ion & Stamping With Sugar Bubbles 031

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did a little while ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Ion (3 coats). This is a terrible polish. The formula is chalky, the polish takes ages to dry, the polish is prone to chipping, and the colour is just awful. 😧

Nail colours like this one always look best when you see as little as possible of them. And that’s why I decided to stamp!

I used the super beautiful Sugar Bubbles 031 stamping plate. The dark blue polish I stamped with is Filthy Gorgeous Midnight.

Whilst I didn’t love the mani, I think it looked alright. But I do love marine manis, and I think the sea, beach and flip flops theme fits the season. 🙂

Another thing: If you’re wondering how stamping works, I’ve done a tutorial on everything you need to know  – and everything I wish I had known when I started to stamp. Don’t worry, you’ll figure out stamping in an hour, but the tutorial will answer all the questions that you will have about stampers, scrapers, polishes, stamping plates, extra stuff you might need and everything else really! The tutorial is here.

And I also did a post on how I made my own stamping polish. This post can be found here.

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel 60 Seconds 844 Out Of The Blue & Stamping With Sugar Bubbles SB 031

Hi there! Today’s post is about a cute marine-themed mani. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel 60 Seconds 844 Out Of The Blue (2 coats).

The colour looks nice, but I really don’t like this polish at all. It stains badly. I should use it as a stamping polish only – this should be OK.

Anyway, since I already had a dark blue base, I decided to do (another) marine-themed mani. So I used Sugar Bubbles‘ cute SB 031 stamping plate.

And I double-stamped with Orly Snow Cone (light blue) and Essence Colour & Go 140 Go Bold (gold).

I really like this mani. It’s like… the sea, marine creatures and sunlight. Do you agree? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Sinful Colors Blue La La & Stamping With Sugar Bubbles SB 031, Revlon Brilliant Strength 110 Hypnotize, Filthy Gorgeous Midnight / A-Z Nail Art Challenge S – Summer

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani that I did recently. A mani that I’m quite proud of! And with this mani I’ve also completed the A-Z Nail Art Summer Challenge. Yeah!

OK, so for this mani I painted my nails with Sinful Colors Blue La La (2 coats).

The stamping plate I chose is Sugar Bubbles SB 031. This stamping plate bursts with summery images. It’s the ultimate ‘day at the beach’ stamping plate.

The 2 stamping colours I used are Filthy Gorgeous Midnight (dark blue) and Revlon Brilliant Strength 110 Hypnotize (gold).

I love how this mani turned out. I love it! Do you agree? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Underwater Mani – Featuring Max Factor, Orly, Pueen & Sugar Bubbles

Marine Mani with Orly and Max FactorHi there! I’ve done a few underwater-themed manis in the past few months – and I haven’t run out of ideas for even more underwater-themed manis. So here’s another one! 🙂

I painted my nails with Max Factor Glossfinity 140 Cobalt Blue. This is a really nice polish – it’s basically opaque in one coat!

I selected images from two stamping plates – Sugar Bubbles SB 031 (pinky, ring finger) and Pueen 91 (middle and index fingers) from Pueen’s Buffet Leisure collection.

The light blue polish I used to stamp on the images is Orly Snowcone. It’s not a real stamping polish but it stamps so well that I’ll use it for stamping only from now on.

I think this mani turned out even better than I hoped. I really love it. Please feel free to tell me what you think. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Underwater Mani – Featuring Rimmel, Essence, Astor, Beauty UK & Sugar Bubbles

Sugar BubblesHi there! I loved my last underwater mani so much that I did another one.

This time I thought I’d use my newest glitter polish – which reminded me very much of mermaids – and my Sugar Bubbles SB 031 stamping plate.

I used these polishes:
Rimmel 60 Seconds 844 Out Of The Blue (base colour, pinky).
Beauty UK White (base colour, ring and middle fingers).
Astor Lacque Deluxe 880 Forest Green (base colour, index finger and thumb).
Essence Nail Art Stampy Polish in White (stamped image on pinky, index finger, thumb).
Rimmel Love Glitter 034 A Crush On You (glitter topper ring and middle fingers).

So here it is – my underwater mani! I think it turned out great. What do you think?
