Empties – April 2018

Hi there! Another month is history (time really flies…), so it’s time for my April Empties post. I’ve thrown out a konjac sponge (note to self: Primark’s konjac sponges are much better than Superdrug’s). And I’ve used a few single-use face masks, but I didn’t keep the empty sachets (what else is new…). You can read about my latest face mask finds if you click here. Alrighty, onto the big empties!

1 Caolion O2 Sparkling Purifying Soap (not in the photo because it was a soap and I used it up…) – I finished this awesome face soap after almost 4 months. This soap was £4, so it was excellent value! I’ve already repurchased it!

2 Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Wash (travel size) – this is a great little body wash. I have more of these in my stash!

3 NSPA Shea Butter Shower & Bath Gel – this is a lovely shower gel that I’m happy to buy again. My husband enjoyed it too, so this one’s a shared empty.

4 I Love… Chocolate Truffle Refreshing Body Spritzer – this body spritzer was just as nice as the matching body butter. I have 1 back-up bottle.

5 Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Butter (travel size) – another awesome product from Boots. I do have several vanilla body butters in my stash!

6 Superdrug Optimum Phyto Brighter Triple Action Illuminating Black Moisturiser – I’m glad this stuff is now finished. Repurchase? Nope!

7 Dr. Organic Bioactive Haircare Organic Aloe Vera Conditioner (travel size) – it conditioned well, but it smelled unpleasant. I wouldn’t buy this conditioner again, but I’d like to try more products from this brand.

8 Flower Pharm Orange Flower Body Butter – one of the best body butters I’ve ever had. Perfect formula, sensational fragrance. The entire Flower Pharm collection has been discontinued, but I do have a few back-up body butters!

9 Max Factor Pan Stik 12 True Beige – this is my holy grail foundation!

10 Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Day Cream (Normal To Dry Skin) – this is a reasonable day cream that really helps with dry skin (it’s super rich and hydrating). I think I’ll buy it again, but not before autumn or winter.

11  The Body Shop Frosted Plum Shower Gel – this is the ultimate “filler” shower gel. It’s basic in every way. No one, absolutely no one, needs to buy it twice!

12 Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Wash – this one’s a shared empty (my husband used it too).

13 Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Lotion (travel size) – this is a great body lotion. I believe I have 2 full-size tubes in my stash (and quite possibly another 75ml tube). I finished quite a few vanilla-scented products this month, didn’t I? 🙂

This is what I’ve emptied in April. I’m happy that the black moisturiser is gone, and I’m proud of myself for finishing a few more travel-sized products, as well as one of the big 500ml shower gels. 🙂 Have you tried any of these products? What have you emptied last month? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!

Empties – March 2018

Hi there! It’s the 2nd of April, so it’s time for my March Empties post! As always, I used a couple of single-use face masks. I didn’t keep the empty sachets, but you can read about my latest face mask finds if you click here. Now onto the “real” empties!

1 My Little Pony Rarity Shampoo – this is a good quality shampoo. If Hasbro does another MLP toiletries set for Christmas this year, I can see myself picking it up!

2 The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Shower Cream – I think this shower cream was alright. I received it as part of a gift set, but I wouldn’t buy it for myself.

3 The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Shower Gel – my husband and I liked this shower gel a lot. So yes, I would buy it again. This one’s a shared empty.

4 Herbal Essences Rainforest Flowers Shimmering Colour Conditioner – one of the best conditioners ever. And yes, this product has been discontinued. I think I have one more Rainforest Flowers Shimmering Colour shampoo & conditioner combo in my stash

5 Boots Extracts Zingy Satsuma Body Wash – I really enjoyed this one. Too bad it was a limited edition!

6 Boots Extracts Zingy Satsuma Body Lotion – another lovely body lotion from Boots! And, unfortunately, another limited edition.

7 Superdrug Intensive Moisture Hand Cream – this is a decent hand cream, but I wouldn’t buy it again because (thanks to Poundland, Poundworld and the likes) there are better hand creams out there for the same price.

8 Superdrug Sweet Snuggles Hand Lotion – I really liked this hand lotion. I am fairly certain I have a back-up!

9 The Body Shop Vanilla Body Mist – I’m glad it’s gone, and I wouldn’t buy it again. If you’re looking for a nice and simple vanilla fragrance, don’t bother with this one!

10 Nina Ricci Ricci Ricci – I received this one as a present. Ages ago. I liked the fragrance, but I didn’t love it. So I wouldn’t purchase it again. And yes, the name of this fragrance is Nina Ricci Ricci Ricci (or Ricci Ricci by Nina Ricci).

11 Superdrug Cocoa Butter & Vanilla Body Scrub – this is a great body scrub. It’s effective and it smells lovely. I have 2 back-up tubs!

12 Bourjois UNE M18 Casual Matt Colour Lipstick M18 – this is the perfect lip colour for me. I’ve already repurchased this lipstick!

13 Boots Time Dimensions Nourishing Eye Cream – this is a decent eye cream. Hydrates nicely, plays well with make-up. It’s super old, and it’s not available anymore. But I do have a back-up!

14 NSPA Rich Body Butter With Moisturising Shea Butter – this is a really nice body butter. I’m sure I’ll buy it again!

This is everything I emptied in March. Not bad, eh? By the way, here’s a photo of what I do with every single moisturiser tube!

Once a tube’s almost empty, I cut it open. Yes, I do that with every single tube that contains a product that I can’t rinse out in the shower (so that’s basically everything that’s not a shower gel or a shampoo). This way I get to use every last drop of product. Some may say I’m overdoing it, but I like that I’m not being wasteful. By the way, I’ve been doing this since I was a teenager!

Now… have you tried any of the products I finished? If so, let me know your thoughs. And what have you finished last month? Please feel free to get in touch. And thanks for stopping by!

NSPA Rich Body Butter With Moisturising Shea Butter

Hi there! Today’s post is about NSPA‘s Rich Body Butter with Moisturising Shea Butter. NSPA is a brand that’s exclusive to Asda. And this body butter was made in the UK (like NSPA’s entire product range). Onto the review! 🙂

I think this body butter smells amazing. The shea butter fragrance is sweet, warm and cuddly. It’s gorgeous, and I can’t get enough of it!
NSPA Shea Butter
This body butter doesn’t just smell great. It’s also a fantastic moisturiser. It’s rich and nourishing, and it makes my skin feel super soft. This body butter feels a little sticky, but it’s fine once it’s absorbed (which takes 2 or 3 minutes).

All in all, I think this body butter is wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a nourishing body moisturiser. NSPA‘s Rich Body Butter with Moisturising Shea Butter is available as 200ml for £3.

NSPA Vanilla Shower & Bath Gel, NSPA Shea Butter Shower & Bath Gel

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 NSPA shower gels which, I think, sound perfectly delicious – NSPA Vanilla Shower & Bath Gel and NSPA Shea Butter Shower & Bath Gel. NSPA products are exclusive to Asda, and the big 500ml shower gels are £3 each. I paid £2 each (special offer). 🙂 Now onto the reviews!

NSPA Vanilla is a warm, smokey vanilla. The fragrance is rather dense and definitely more suitable for the colder seasons. I like this shower gel, but I don’t love it. My husband, however, seems to enjoy it very much, so I’ll let him have it.

NSPA Shea Butter smells… cute and cuddly. I can’t describe the fragrance any better, but I love it. It’s gorgeous! If you’re not already in love with this shower gel, you need to have a sniff the next time you shop at Asda.

Have you tried these shower gels? Or would you like to try them? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for stopping by!
