My Little Pony Lovely Lipbalm

Hi there! Today’s post is about this My Little Pony Lovely Lipbalm gift set which I picked up at B&M Bargains. This set contains 3 lip balms with the most gorgeous names – Sweetie Lips, Pony Pout and Cutie Kiss! Alrighty! Onto the review!

Sweetie Lips is my least favourite of the 3 lip balms. Whilst it has the most wonderful clear and soft-melting formula (it’s the same formula for all the lip balms), the flavour is not my favourite – it’s very sugary.

Pony Pout is a nice lip balm. It took me a few days to get used to the sweet strawberry flavour, but I’m OK with it now. Not a favourite, but definitely more than just fit for purpose!

Cutie Kiss is my favourite of the bunch. I adore the cute vanilla flavour! If this one was available on its own, I’d buy a few more!

Based on my experience, I’d recommend this My Little Pony Lovely Lipbalm gift set. It’s aimed at much, much younger MLP fans, but the cuteness of these lip balms is off the charts, and if you like sweet flavours in lip balms, I think you’ll like these! My Little Pony Lovely Lipbalm gift set is available as a set of 3 lip balms for £2.99 (B&M Bargains).

Empties – October 2018

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I emptied last month. As always, I used a number of single use face masks. Whilst I don’t keep the empty sachets, you can read about my latest face mask finds here. Onto the big empties!

1 Olay Anti-Wrinkle 2 in 1 Instant Hydration + Radiant Glow – this is a lovely moisturiser. I have a back-up bottle!

2 Essence Black Eyeliner Pencil – my favourite eyeliner pencil! I have several more in my stash and in my rota!

3 Sukin Super Greens Facial Recovery Serum – another great product from Sukin. I can definitely see myself buying this serum again.

4 Superdrug Naturally Radiant Flycolic Tonic – this is one of my new holy grail products!

Nivea Waterlily & Oil Shower Gel – this is a lovely shower gel. My husband used it too, so this is a shared empty. I hope I’ll find it again somewhere.

6 Herbal Essences Moisture Balance Conditioner – the best conditioner ever. It’s been discontinued, but I have an impressive number of back-up bottles (shampoo and conditioner).

7 The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Lotion – I enjoyed using this body lotion while it lasted, but I won’t buy it again.

8 The Crème Shop Detoxing & Renewing Overnight Gel Mask With Charcoal – whilst I liked using this product, I don’t think I’ll buy it again. When the seasons changed, I noticed that I would need a more hydrating product for 9 months of the year.

9 Max Factor Pan Stik 25 Fair – this is my holy grail foundation!

10 My Little Pony Strawberry Lip Balm – a nice lip balm. It’s very hydrating, and it has a fruity taste. I have a few more My Little Pony branded lip balms.

11 Superdrug Lip Balm – a nice vanilla-flavoured lip balm. I have a few more of these.

12 Ekél Natural Clean Peeling Gel With Grape – this is a truly awesome product. I have 3 more of these with different fragrances (apple, apricot, rice bran).

13 My Little Pony Shower Gel – a nice shower gel. The melon fragrance is lovely. I might repurchase it at some point.

14 Radox Scent Touch Feel Lively Body Wash – I don’t like the fragrance of this one very much. I managed to use it up but I won’t buy it again.

15 Superdrug Cucumber Peel-Off Mask – this is a nice face mask. I enjoyed using it. I have a back-up!

16 Anna Sui Flight Of Fancy – this is a lovely fragrance. I can definitely see myself picking it up again!

I think I’ve done well again this month. I’m happy I managed to finish a lot of skin care products. What did you empty last month? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading! 🙂

Empties – August 2018

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I finished in August. I’ve used a number of single-use face masks, but I didn’t keep the sachets. If you’re interested, click here to read about my latest face mask finds. Now, let me show you the big bottles, tubes and tubs I said goodbye to in August. 🙂

1 Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Scrub (travel size) – this is an average scrub, but it has Boots’ lovely vanilla fragrance. I’m pretty sure I have 1 or 2 back-up tubes.

2 My Little Pony Body Mist – this is one of the most fleeting “fragrances” ever. However, this body mist turned out to be pretty awesome! It contains glycerin, and it feels hydrating, so I’ve been spraying it down my back. It made my skin super soft! I’d like to buy it again, but I haven’t seen it in a while… 😦

3 Superdrug Calm Skin Refreshing Facial Spritz – this is awesome for dry and moody skin. I’ll repurchase it soon!

4 Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions Moisture Splash Conditioner – this is one of the best conditioners ever! For the past 2+ years I’ve been using it to double condition my hair when random Pantene or Garnier (or whatever) conditioners weren’t good enough. I’m sad this product has been discontinued. But I have one more bottle!

5 NSPA Luscious Fresh Clementine Shower & Bath Gel – this is another nice shower gel from NSPA. I’d repurchase it if it hadn’t been discontinued.

6 Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Butter (x2, travel size) – this is a lovely body butter. I have a few more tubs in my stash!

7 Olay Anti-Wrinkle Instant Hydration Eye Cream – this is a really nice eye cream. I would buy it again, but I think it’s been discontinued.

8 Boots Botanics Nourishing Body Butter – I’ve had this in my stash for a very long time. Whilst there was no issue with the product, I decided to use it as a foot butter. And it did a great job! Since my husband used this product too, this is a shared empty. I have one more tub in my stash.

9 L’Oréal Elvive Fibrology Air Volumising Thickening Conditioner – this is an awful product. Good riddance!

10 Rimmel Lycra Pro 421 Clearly Clear – one of my favourite clear polishes. I have several of bottles!

11 NYC Expert Last Polish 138 Classy Glassy – this is another great clear polish. Yes, I have several bottles!

12 Montagne Jeunesse Buriti Fruit Body Smoothie – this is a lovely product. It served me well this summer. I would buy it again, but I believe this product has been discontinued.

13 Scinic Aqua All In One Ampoule – this is a disappointing product that did nothing for my skin at all. This ampoule made my skin feel dry. On a positive note, it gave me the chance to use richer (greasy even) face products. This ampoule lasted me for 9 months! I wouldn’t buy it again.

14 Imperial Leather Indulgence Precious Body Wash – this is a wonderful shower gel. It seems to have been discontinued, so I need to check if I can still find it at a bargain store.

15 My Little Pony Fluttershy Bath Bubbles (travel size) – I used this raspberry-scented bath gel as a shower gel. I really enjoyed the fragrance. I can definitely see myself picking up another MLP toiletries set!

I’m pleased I managed to empty 2 more clear polishes, as well as a number of travel-sized products. And I’m glad the terrible Fibrology Air (anti-)conditioner is gone. Have you tried any of these products? Or would you like any of these products? What have you emptied this month? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!

Empties – March 2018

Hi there! It’s the 2nd of April, so it’s time for my March Empties post! As always, I used a couple of single-use face masks. I didn’t keep the empty sachets, but you can read about my latest face mask finds if you click here. Now onto the “real” empties!

1 My Little Pony Rarity Shampoo – this is a good quality shampoo. If Hasbro does another MLP toiletries set for Christmas this year, I can see myself picking it up!

2 The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Shower Cream – I think this shower cream was alright. I received it as part of a gift set, but I wouldn’t buy it for myself.

3 The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Shower Gel – my husband and I liked this shower gel a lot. So yes, I would buy it again. This one’s a shared empty.

4 Herbal Essences Rainforest Flowers Shimmering Colour Conditioner – one of the best conditioners ever. And yes, this product has been discontinued. I think I have one more Rainforest Flowers Shimmering Colour shampoo & conditioner combo in my stash

5 Boots Extracts Zingy Satsuma Body Wash – I really enjoyed this one. Too bad it was a limited edition!

6 Boots Extracts Zingy Satsuma Body Lotion – another lovely body lotion from Boots! And, unfortunately, another limited edition.

7 Superdrug Intensive Moisture Hand Cream – this is a decent hand cream, but I wouldn’t buy it again because (thanks to Poundland, Poundworld and the likes) there are better hand creams out there for the same price.

8 Superdrug Sweet Snuggles Hand Lotion – I really liked this hand lotion. I am fairly certain I have a back-up!

9 The Body Shop Vanilla Body Mist – I’m glad it’s gone, and I wouldn’t buy it again. If you’re looking for a nice and simple vanilla fragrance, don’t bother with this one!

10 Nina Ricci Ricci Ricci – I received this one as a present. Ages ago. I liked the fragrance, but I didn’t love it. So I wouldn’t purchase it again. And yes, the name of this fragrance is Nina Ricci Ricci Ricci (or Ricci Ricci by Nina Ricci).

11 Superdrug Cocoa Butter & Vanilla Body Scrub – this is a great body scrub. It’s effective and it smells lovely. I have 2 back-up tubs!

12 Bourjois UNE M18 Casual Matt Colour Lipstick M18 – this is the perfect lip colour for me. I’ve already repurchased this lipstick!

13 Boots Time Dimensions Nourishing Eye Cream – this is a decent eye cream. Hydrates nicely, plays well with make-up. It’s super old, and it’s not available anymore. But I do have a back-up!

14 NSPA Rich Body Butter With Moisturising Shea Butter – this is a really nice body butter. I’m sure I’ll buy it again!

This is everything I emptied in March. Not bad, eh? By the way, here’s a photo of what I do with every single moisturiser tube!

Once a tube’s almost empty, I cut it open. Yes, I do that with every single tube that contains a product that I can’t rinse out in the shower (so that’s basically everything that’s not a shower gel or a shampoo). This way I get to use every last drop of product. Some may say I’m overdoing it, but I like that I’m not being wasteful. By the way, I’ve been doing this since I was a teenager!

Now… have you tried any of the products I finished? If so, let me know your thoughs. And what have you finished last month? Please feel free to get in touch. And thanks for stopping by!

My Little Pony Lip Balm Trio

Hi there! Today’s post is about a cute My Little Pony Lip Balm Trio which I picked up on Boxing Day 2016. I’ve seen a very similar set (3 MLP themed lip balms, similar packaging) at the same store very recently, so I think it still makes sense to review these lip balms. 🙂

Alright! The lip balm flavours are Cherry, Coconut and Strawberry. And I think these lip balms are great. They feel super hydrating, and the flavours aren’t too strong. I’m actually not a fan of coconut and strawberry flavoured (or scented) products – but I’m enjoying all these lip balm flavours very much!

Back then this My Little Pony Lip Balm Trio was £2.99. B&M Bargains now stocks a very similar looking set (which would be an awesome present for MLP fans of all ages) for the same price.

My Little Pony Cutie Beauty Bath Set

Hi there! A few days ago I swung by my local B&M Bargains store. I saw a My Little Pony toiletries set – and then I remembered that I bought one last year! This year’s toiletries set looks a little different, but it’s probably quite similar because it also contains 4 travel-sized (75ml) hair and body products. So read on to find out if the My Little Pony Cutie Beauty Bath Set is any good. 🙂

Let’s start with the bath bubbles! The Pinkie Pie bath gel smells of fresh green apples. I’m not really into apple-scented hair and body products because they usually don’t smell very natural. However, this apple fragrance is actually very well done. I like it!

The Fluttershy bath gel smells of mixed berries. It’s not too sweet which is nice. The berry fragrance reminds me of the flavour of M&S’ new Connie Caterpillar Berry Gums!

The Rainbow Dash shower gel smells like mixed yellow fruits. It’s not the most special fragrance, but it’s pleasant. The shower gel is also super gentle!

The Rarity shampoo doesn’t lather up very well, but it’s suprisingly clarifying. But the best thing is the fragrance. The shampoo smells of sweet and juicy raspberries. Delicious!

I paid £3.99 for this My Little Pony Cutie Beauty Bath Set. This year’s My Little Pony toiletries set is £3.99 as well. I would definitely recommend the set!

My Little Pony Body Mist, Bath & Shower Gel, Leave-In Hair Detangler

Hi there! Today’s post is about 3 My Little Pony branded products – My Little Pony Body Mist, My Little Pony Shower Gel, and My Little Pony Leave-In Hair Detangler. These 3 products were made by Kokomo Studio, a UK-based toiletries manufacturer.

Alright, let’s start with the My Little Pony Body Mist! The fruity and powdery fragrance is quite faint, and it evaporates quickly. After a few minutes you won’t be able to smell it on your skin anymore. However, since this body mist is clearly aimed at young girls, the faint fragrance isn’t really an issue because kids can spray away without stinking up their bedrooms with sickly sweet smells. Cool!

So whilst the fragrance isn’t what an adult would expect, I still like the body mist because it feels hydrating. It contains oils, but I promise you that it’s not sticky. I really like to spray it down my back. Just 2 or 3 sprays a couple of times a week – that’s enough to make the skin on my back feel super soft. Great stuff! If you’d like to try this body mist, or if you’d like to buy it as a present for a young relative, the 100ml bottle is £2 at Primark.

Onto the My Little Pony Bath & Shower Gel! I really like this shower gel. It lathers up nicely, and it smells of honeydew melons. It’s also not drying! What’s not to like? I paid 99p for the big 400ml bottle (Home Bargains).

And how’s the My Little Pony Leave-In Hair Detangler? I think this product is quite alright. It’s not ground-breaking, but it’s much better than L’Oréal’s Elvive Smooth & Polish Thermo Detangling Spray (which I will review shortly). So yes, this dirt-cheap My Little Pony product really helps detangle my hair! In regards to the fragrance, all I can say is that it’s faint and fruity (something like pear and melon…), and that it evaporates quickly. But that’s great because I wouldn’t want my hair detangler to compete with the fragrance I’m wearing. By the way, the 150ml bottle can be yours for £1 (Poundworld).

To make a long story short, I’m happy that I picked up these products. I don’t always make the best decisions when I buy products just because I love the cute packaging. However, these 3 products will serve me well for the next couple of months, so I have no reason to complain at all!

Major Haul! Awesome New Products / Beauty Stuff I Bought In September And October

Hi there! I forgot to do a haul post last month, so today I’m showing you what I bought in September and October. 🙂

I bought a set of 5 SpaScriptions face masks – the set was £4.99. I also bought a set of 5 panda face masks – this set was £4.99 as well. TK Maxx

I bought a Superfacialist Rose Hydrate Mask (£4), a large 1kg Kallos Multivitamin hair mask (£7.99), and a Superfacialist Rose Hydrate Creamy Cleanser (£4). TK Maxx

I picked up 3 Superdrug items – a Salted Caramel Shower & Bath Soak (£1.47), a Glycolic Tonic (=toner) and another Glycolic Overnight Peel to replace the one I finished. The last 2 products were £5.99 each, but there was a buy 1 get 1 free offer, so I paid £5.99 in total for the 2 Naturally Radiant products.

I got a few more masks – I couldn’t resist those Hunny Bee grapefruit masks (£4.99 for a set of 5 masks), and I bought another SpaScriptions mask set (£4.99 for a set of 5 masks). TK Maxx

I found an Argan & Marula shampoo and conditioner combo (99p each) and a My Little Pony shower gel (99p). Home Bargains

I got another Superfacialist Rose Hydrate product – I bought the Day Cream (£6.99), and I picked up 2 Sanctuary Spa Being fragrances (£3.75 each). And I spent £6.99 on my Superfacialist Vitamin C + Brighten night cream. TK Maxx, Boots

The Zatik Passionfruit Cacao Lotion was £5, the Scinic Vita Ade Eye Cream was £6, and the Scinic Sparkling Pore Toner was £6 as well. TK Maxx

I bought a big It’s True Moisture Cream (£9.99), a Smack Beauty Firming Night Cream (£3), and another Hunny Bee mask set (£4.99 for 5 masks). TK Maxx

I got my hands on a Skin Care Chemist Macadamia Beauty Oil (£3), and I bought a Sukin Chia Seed Oil+ Foaming Facial Cleanser set. The set was £7.99 which is excellent value because the chia seed oil is usually £14.95 on its own! TK Maxx

And I bought 2 big jars of compressed sheet masks. These were £4.99 each. The bamboo jar contained 22 masks, the assorted jar contained 23 masks. TK Maxx

This is everything I bought in September and October. It’s quite a lot, I think. 🙂 Have you tried any of these products? Or would you like to try any of them? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!
